I rented a Mercedes because comfort was the number one priority. It wasn’t disclosed anywhere that I would need two different types of credit cards, so Europcar downgraded my car to some Italian car comparable to an Hyundai and did not adjust the price.Reviewed 13 Sep 2024

Clear charges at the time of reservations. Would like to know exactly how much is the total charge (including insurance and extras) at the time of reservation and not being told that’s what happen when I use booking.com or Expedia instead of using their web page. Price went from $303, plus $303 for different drop off to over a thousand dolls!!!.Reviewed 12 Sep 2024

instructions/map to pick-up location in downtown Florence was VERY poor. No signage on street and no indication that to access the rental pick up garage you had to go through the shopping mall to access the underground garage.Reviewed 10 Sep 2024

Despite bringing evidence of insurance coverage from my credit card, they would not honor the rental. I called my US Mastercard and they confirmed I had insurance coverage. They would not accept it and wanted me to pay €60+ a day for coverage. I had rented from both National and Alamo in the prior week for 2 different trips and I had no issues. STAY AWAY!!! The car was advertised with unlimited miles when booking. At the rental station they said that they have their own policy and only allow 200km/day. Even after opening a claim that was not changed. Additionally, very slow pickup process and every person that was with me at the rental station in Calgary had either issues with the KM, out of province policy or insurance policy. You charged me although I had cancelled the reservation two minutes after booking it. This is a scam. You advertise really low prices, then I want to take the insurance, then you refuse to sell it to me. Then I cancel. Then I receive a charge on my credit card. Was given a diesel car which we don’t want. It was filthy and we had to ask them to wash it before leaving. The price was more than what Experian quoted. It took nearly an hour to find where to return the rental car in Hamburg. They never answered their phones. Will not do business with this firm in the future.Reviewed 6 Sep 2024
