Friendly staff, however, was very disappointed with the false promise of an uograde upon collection. I requested a VW golf or simular and ended up with a smaller Kia that couldnt fit any more than 2 people comfortably and had to out my suitcases on the back seat rather than in the trunk. Unfortunately i dint think i'll be renting with you again as this vehicle was completely unfit for purpose.Reviewed 24 Sep. 2023

I have been charged twice for the same rental: I have prepaid for the Basic package and then paid more than twice as much when I picked up the car on the pretext that they cannot give me the car without insurance. Why would insurance cost more than twice than the rental. I feel pretty much cheated.Reviewed 18 Sep. 2023

They try and upsell everything and get you to take more insurance. Very aggressive. Also look to get you on the way in saying damage was done. Make sure you take pictures of any damage before you leave.Reviewed 12 Sep. 2023

This place feels like a proper scam job. I was told that my rental was canceled because the pickup date I selected was early and the only car they had left was a luxury vehicle. They gave me the hard sell and I thouth I wasn't going to get anything despite their lot being full. I was too tired to think straight coming off a long international flight or I would have walked away. The booking took almost an hour and they gave me a car that was way too big to drive comfortably on the small Scottish roads. I had to bring it back a day early because it was too much car for me. Check in took almost another hour and they claimed i damaged one of the tires dispite my careful driving and never running over anything. When I had picked the car up there was already damage to the rims (they told me about that) so I didn't look them over close enogh. The tire damage was a small dig in the side wall (pea sized) right where the rim was damaged but they claimed I caused it. My $300 rental turned into a bill for over £1600. Good customer service from desk agents, very pleasant. Getting to the carpark is about a 15 minute walk from the airport, unfortunately not on airport grounds. But the car was nice and new, and they had great offerings.Reviewed 14 Jul. 2023

SCAM operation. Wish I had read the reviews before I booked. I booked thru Expedia with Amex. When I got there they tried to sell me various insurance options with different coverages and deductibles. Wanted huge deposit which they will only accept visa and MC. My visa was flagged for fraud and sending a new one. Offered Amex, Visa debit even cash but wouldn’t take it. Apparently from reading other reviews the scam is they charge you for every little thing real or imagined that is wrong with the car when you return and once they have your CC you don’t have much option. Amex has a robust system to challenge dubious charges so my guess is that’s why they don’t take it and debit they can only take as much as you have in there at the time. I ended up losing my 10 day rental charge and will challenge thru amex and Expedia. Got a car thru Alamo which was a much better experience and about the same price. When I mentioned Green Motion to the person at the counter she rolled her eyes and said I’d be better off staying away from them and I hadn’t even told her my experience.Reviewed 2 Jul. 2023

Horrible. Green motion discriminates against active and retired members of the armed forces. Would not rent to my husband and I due to his work as a military reservist. Would also not offer a price freeze (even though this was completely their fault) on the rate I had booked months prior. The rate they were going to offer me in person was $4000 more than what I pre-paid. They left us stranded at the Edinburgh airport. The lady before me in line also got scammed with an additional $1200 in fees upon pickup. DO NOT RENT.Reviewed 30 May 2023
