The gentleman who helped us at the counter was very kind however we had a reservation on a Sunday for a two week rental. Our flight was canceled from the states to Edinburgh and it delayed us one day. I emailed Green motion to advise them of the flight cancellation and next day pick up.They did tell me they would be able to reinstate my rental however they could not guarantee the car class which was economy. When we got to Green motion, they charged us an additional US$1000 for a full-size car when we were adamant we wanted the smallest car possible due to our unfamiliarity driving the narrow roads in opposite directions . They told us this was the only available vehicle however there were hundreds of smaller cars on the lot that day and they obviously could’ve made a price concession understanding that our flight was canceled. So a car rental that was originally meant to cost us $300 was $1300 plus the additional gas and stress on the roads Total rip off agents. Had we had time we would’ve simply found another rental car company to rent from that day however we were time crunched with our arrival having already been delayed a solid 24 hours. We really felt taken advantage of by this company and do not suggest renting from them or being steered by their low rates. Many other people were having issues at the rental counter which is also not convenient as it’s offsite from the airport.As mentioned the gentleman at the counter was very kind, but said his hands were tied due to management’s decision-making. They gave me a car that had been sitting. All four tires were partially deflated and as soon as In left I had to deal with Finding a spot to inflate them. One of the tires I had to inflate every couple of days before it finally went flat and I had to replace it. Car was not well cleaned out. And the fees for insurance are insane. Either you have an extra £2000 for them to hold onto or you give them $1000. Next time I will go to Enterprise… I’ve had much better experiences with them.Reviewed 21 Dec 2024

We did not get a van, which was requested/booked. They gave us a "7 seater" Luxury SUV that had barely enough space for our luggage. We needed a van for a wheelchair. They offered us a van for an extra £1000, for the 4 day rental. Felt like I was being ripped off. The 2 other separate customers next to me were having the same trouble. We did not know until we got there that they did not take American Express. Also, were forced to add on an expensive daily insurance fee and they charged my credit card $1500 additional as a deposit that would not be credited back for a month! The entire rental felt like a bait-and-switch, as the rental cost a lot more than we were quoted. Also, when we returned the car, they went over it with a fine tooth comb and mentioned a scratch below the door that was there already. They said that they would get back to me “after inspection.” I am assuming that they are going to attempt to charge me something out of the deposit that I will have to fight. Unfriendly people that run it seem to be working for the Russian mafia. I honestly did not feel safe at all!! I would never use this service again!Reviewed 17 Oct 2023

Friendly staff, however, was very disappointed with the false promise of an uograde upon collection. I requested a VW golf or simular and ended up with a smaller Kia that couldnt fit any more than 2 people comfortably and had to out my suitcases on the back seat rather than in the trunk. Unfortunately i dint think i'll be renting with you again as this vehicle was completely unfit for purpose.Reviewed 24 Sep 2023
