Pros: No line at counter when I arrived. It took no more than 5 minutes before I had the keys in my hand. When I arrived at the approximate location of the car, another associate was heading back up to the office but took the time to show me the vehicle location. The full size vehicle was a hybrid which meant great gas mileage and less pollution into the air.
Cons: The walk to where the vehicles were located in the parking structure around the corner from the office.

Worst experience I have ever had with a car rental company
Cons: Where do I start? I reserved my car online. I arrive at the Long Beach airport and go up to the Hertz counter, they said your reservation isn't here, it's at our other location. I said oh, that wasn't on my reservation confirmation, but ok. Do you have a shuttle, I asked? No, you have to take a taxi. Ok, so I hop in a Lyft, call the other location just to confirm they have my reservation, and the guy goes, uhhh... let me see if we still have a car for you as I'm in a taxi on my way over there. He gets back on the phone and says, we gave your car away, we don't have any other cars to give you. I was like, what?? You gave my reservation away? How can you do that, I already paid for it? He goes uhhh, sorry sir. I'm sitting here like you must be kidding me. Anyway, he tells me to go back to the airport Hertz, because they have a car for me there. So I go back to where I came from, and speak to the manager. Blanking on her name, brown hair, talks with a little bit of an accent. Anyway, tell her my story, and she goes, we have no cars, I can't help you. I'm like, you're the manager and you're telling me you gave away my car and you're not going to do anything about it?! Seriously?! She had a look on her face like she could absolutely care less about the situation. Not only did she not do anyrhing about it, she didn't even try. She didn't try to remedy the situation, didn't trt to help me out any one bit. Sat there doodling on some paper while I was now running short on time to a meeting. Then I asked her if she could refund me, and she said she couldn't. The whole situation was mind boggling. I run a bunch of sales teams throughout the US and if I had one employee like this, they would be gone in a heart beat. It's situations like this when you lose the business and never get it back. She was absolutely awful. In the end, I went right over to Avis and the gentleman not only accomodated my needs, he gave me a nice discount on my rental because he had witnessed how unruly the Hertz people were. Think twice about going to Hertz, there are way better companies out there.

1 hour wait time to pick up Vehicle
Pros: I waited 1 hour to pickup my vehicle on Friday morning. There was only one person working at the Hertz counter, when all other rental car agencies had 2-3 people and no line (as they were able to move through customers quickly). I rented a car because I had an important job interview, thankfully my flight came in early enough that I was not late for the interview, however it added a lot of un-needed stress to my day.

Prepaid Rental but Hertz didn't have it available.
Cons: Prepaid for an SUV rental to seat 7. Arrived and they didn't have an SUV available to seat 7. Tried to convince me I didn't have that many passengers. Was able to get an SUV next door at Avis. Supposed to be getting a refund from Hertz but haven't received confirmation of that which was promised after spending more than an hour on hold with Customer Service and having to spell my last name "Jackson" six different times. Who knows if I'll ever get my money back.
