Everything was great, car was ready, quick check out. My only issue is with the way the car insurance was handled. I paid an amount through Kayak which I found out was through a third party, which if I had an accident I would have been responsible to pay for the repairs and then would have been reimbursed through the third party. I'm sure this was disclosed in the fine print, but seems manipulative. I ended up paying an additional amount through Hertz directly, which would cover all repairs had there been damage or an accident.Reviewed 30 Dec. 2021

Altima conditionPros:Upon returning car, I expressed to clerk, Taylor, that front bumper was scratched when I initially picked up car. Taylor stated that wouldn’t be an issue since I initially picked up car in that condition.Cons:Receive phone call regarding scratched front bumper and I had to take the time to write an email and re-explain condition of car at time of pickup, along with pictures. Poor communication between the two Hertz car company. Customer service should have handled this situation. Hoping to soon be informed of the confirmation of my email.Reviewed 3 Aug. 2018

Pros:The car was great - very comfortable. The desk agent was knowledgeable and prompt.Cons:We had rented a car the prior week and had to switch cars for the second week rental so that the second vehicle could be transported to Michigan to be sold. It would have been ideal - and less hassle of moving luggage - to keep the original car (which also had Michigan plates), but both vehicles were comfortable and met our needs.Reviewed 5 Sep. 2017

took a long time to give us the carPros:staff very courteousCons:The computer told the employee that the price we prepaid was not allowed, check with their supervisor. She found the supervisor, both said they never saw this exception. They called their back office, no one is familiar with that exception. took about a half hour to get our rental, otherwise, it's good.Reviewed 20 Jun. 2017

Meh...Pros:Reserved a mid sized suv for family trip through questionable weather specifically for the 4 wheel drive. Was later told they couldn't promise a 4 wheel drive even though reservation was made months in advance. Check in and out was very easy with friendly staff. Was given a RAV4 instead of promised Jeep liberty that was ok except high beams didn't work. Price was good but there was snafu with a gift certificate that took extra calls to figure out. . Pros:Absolutely nothingCons:I called and made reservations I show up to the airport to pick up my car you said my credit my debit card wasn't good enough you left me hanging 300 miles from home I had no way to get around you left me hanging luckily I went to Avis and they took my debit card I will always you save us and I will tell everybody never to use HertzReviewed 18 Apr. 2016
