Pros: We have just stayed two nights and have loved this place. Wayne and Diago offer a very warm welcome and the glass of prosecco ward we received. Our room was very tastefully decorated with a real eye for detail and spotlessly clean. The beds and pillow were comfortable and the decanter of sherry was decadent - Breakfast was very tasty and beautifully presented - our stay was a real treat
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast. Quick to help with recommendations and mobile numbers available if any problems were encountered at any point during my stay. Quirky, thoughtful decor and design. Thankyou for a lovely break.
Cons: Nothing to put here!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay at No. 27 Brighton - Wayne & Diego (the owners) were so friendly and welcoming! The rooms were designed very stylishly and impeccably clean. We loved the little thoughtful touches too - mints on the pillows, sherry in a vintage decanter & fluffy robes made it very cosy indeed. It’s our favourite place we’ve stayed in Brighton (and we’ve been a lot!), close to the beach and a short stroll from some lovely restaurants and Bars too. We’ll definitely be back!
Cons: Nothing! We loved it all :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was simply lovely. Little extras added to the comfort. Really helpful owners, friendly and great cooks. Breakfast was excellent with beautiful tableware and silver teapots adding to the quality feel of the whole place. Highly recommend and hope to be back for a romantic break.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: WOW WOW WOW, this is a gem of a find. Wayne and Diago truly value their B&B and their guests. From prosecco and a lovely warm welcome on arrival, to gorgeous rooms with every detail catered for. Breakfast was unbelievable, we didn't eat for the whole day, all of it is such quality ingredients, served on the most beautiful of crockery. I would have stayed a week if I could
Cons: Absolutely nothing, it was perfection!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Ourselves being able to stay longer to experience the breakfast provided there, we will have to come back to try it.

Pros: The Brighton Marina House Hotel is a great find. This was our first stay and it is a beautiful and clean guest house, which I will come back to when next visiting Brighton. Barbara and Jon were extremely welcoming and the breakfast was varied and delicious. A short walk to the pier and Lanes, it is in a quieter part of town.
Cons: I stayed with my 15 year old daughter and the only point raised by her that could be improved was to have a few more TV channels, however this was not a huge problem for us as we were out for a large part of our stay.

Pros: Absolutely lovely stay. Staff were above and beyond in their hospitality. Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast was out of this world the best I’ve ever had!

Pros: Stylish, warm and wonderful! Hosts are friendly and welcoming. Has a very boutique feel, lovely artwork and modern decor. Cleaned to perfection. Hot and powerful shower, good quality toiletries. Breakfast was to die for. Homemade banana bread and granola was an unexpected delight as was the coffee machine. Chocolate, teas and water in room was a nice touch. Hosts were aware I had to rush to work so always made sure breakfast was quickly served! They were so lovely that they even packed me a little piece banana bread for the day after I checked out! Will return!

Cons: All good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Charm is absolutely perfect. Provided with everything you need, literally everything, they even have cotton pads. For a tea lover, they have enough tea, sugar, and milk in each room (this is essential!) Room is extremely nice and neat. The only thing is that rooms might not have a sea view, BUT why would you need one when the beach is within 3 minutes walk? I am a perfectionist, and I don’t really use the word perfect, but The Charm deserves it!!! Definitely would come back!

Pros: Perfect location, spotlessly clean. Super comfy bed. Fantastic in room facilities. Excellent breakfast, absolutely superb and I will be back, for sure. Also great name for a hotel.
Cons: Room maybe a tiny bit small, but it didn't impact my total satisfaction of the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful breakfast, clean & pleasant room/decor and superb location.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Ours was the last available room at the property and the smallest. An although very small I think that’s fairly typical for Brighton, other than size it was nicely decorated, clean, comfortable and (again small) but one of the best showers I’ve ever had - would go back for the shower! Host was very accommodating and overal the place seems to have high standards. We never had breakfast but I’m sure it would be good. Reasonable value for money, but that’s Brighton. Perfect location and Beautiful Regency building

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for our Brighton Centre visit. 30 second walk from regency square underground car park. Modern, clean, friendly boutique feel.
Cons: Danube bedroom lacking privacy for showering/bathing, as both are exposed (no doors or curtains) Happy shopper crisps at the bar???
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best hotel breakfasts I have ever had (and I am a breakfast / brunch) snob. All of the options I tried were delicious. I am a vegetarian and there were veggie several options, and chef will adapt others to make them vegetarian. Soy milk available also. Staff were very friendly / helpful / accommodating - many thanks to Daniella and the team for looking after me so well. Water / tea (including decaf & herbal) / coffee & pods in room.
Cons: Nothing. Whole experience was great.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious & really clean. The hot tub was brilliant. Staff were very polite & couldn’t be more helpful.
Cons: The only negative thing I noticed were some marks to the paintwork in our room where chairs had been scraped along but they weren’t unsightly & didn’t at all affect the quality of the general aesthetic.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We liked the location as it is far enough out to be quieter but for us close enough to walk to any restaurants , shops etc. I wouldn't say that it is close enough for less able people to get to places though. The hotel itself is nice clean and our room was very spacious but we did book a superior to have extra space. We had a kingsize bed which was lovely and comfortable and the bathroom was adequate too. Breakfast was nice and I am sure if there was something that you requested you would only need to ask.
Cons: The only suggestion we would have is something very simple and that is to have either a small bar of soap or a hand pump soap to use after using the bathroom or for myself to use after I had put hair products on causing my hands to be sticky.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely genuine welcome from Daniella, clean room, lovely shower, nice touches to make the stay more pleasant. Also only 10 minutes walk from the concert venue which was my reason for booking.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room cleanliness and comfort was great. Breakfast made to order. Themed rooms is a good idea and will keep for future reference for bringing a dog. Most of all the staff were very friendly and accomodating
Cons: Choice of hot breakfast on the buffet could have been better. My room did have the noise of the fan outside at certain times (Oriental) which was too much but I just put on music until this had stopped.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: the location was great for both town & beach. got a lovely welcome from daniella. breakfast was lovely with a good choice
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient with friendly staff. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Advantage of penthouse is you don’t hear others coming and going. Disadvantage for anyone not fit/able is that there are a lot of stairs! Spacious airy room. Lots of tea & coffee and water provided
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location, pretty rooms, friendly staff, excellent value for money
Cons: Nothing
Aquarium Guest House - Brighton - Building

9.3 Excellent (147 reviews)
C$ 180+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Aquarium Guest House, you'll be centrally located in Brighton, within a 5-minute walk of Brighton Sea Life Centre and Brighton Pier. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Property is perfectly located in the centre of Brighton. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotlessly clean and a good size. If we did ever come down to Brighton again then we would definitely see if they had availability first.
Cons: Parking can be an issue and it’s zonal so you will need to purchase a permit from guest house priced at £10 per day. We ended up parking on another street as we couldn’t get outside the guest house, but this is no way the fault of the owners.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Aquarium Guest House is located very close to the sea front and Pier. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A well stocked breakfast basket with fruit, serial bars and biscuits everyday. Excellent, service highly recommended
Cons: Parking can be a bit difficult at times, but you can buy daily permits from the Guest House. Once you have found a parking space, it's best to stay put until you depart.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the fruit etc left for own breakfast in room. I liked the unobtrusiveness of the owners who at the same time were very welcoming and friendly and I thought the room was serviced very well.
Cons: Nothing really
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We visited friends in Brighton from September 28 - October 7th and Aquarium House was centrally located for everything we wanted to do around Brighton. Brighton Train station was a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute Uber ride. Nice restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Our hosts, Helen and Scott, were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely, always clean and quite roomy, even had large wardrobe to hang our clothes and store our suitcases. If you are looking for a guesthouse close to the seafront in Brighton, I would highly recommend Aquarium House.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect for exploring Kemptown, Brighton Lanes and Seafront. The rooms were clean, bright and modern - the beds comfortable and linen of good quality. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit/cereal bars (plus tea/coffee facilities) in the room, so not a traditional arrangement but given the excellent selection of cafes and coffee shops locally, this suited us perfectly.....and the fact that a number of them (serving very good breakfast options) were open at 8:30am on a Sunday morning was particularly impressive (and appreciated.) Our hosts were friendly, helpful and welcoming.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were really polite, friendly and helpful. Rooms spotless. Lovely breakfast with huge assortment to choose from, nothing was too much trouble for the waiting staff. In the hallway was a homemade cake to help yourself to (yum) and also chargers to borrow if you forget yours.
Cons: The bed wasn't very good quality, but that is the only complaint I can make.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful home, lovely staff. Quiet location, with an easy walk to the Lanes and the train station. Surrounded by restaurants. Ensuite. Great, local cheeses at breakfast.
Cons: The climb to my room, although I know that is always the case with these B&B’s. Also, the room was very small.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was fantastic and the breakfast delicious.
Cons: The room and bed was too small, making it uncomfortable to sleep.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, lovely staff & nice breakfast
Cons: Musty linen which was rectified quickly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location close to the sea. Very friendly staff and fantastic breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very welcoming and helpful, the whole place just felt good. There was a good variety of food on offer for breakfast, all of very good quality. I liked the location: quiet but close to restaurants, cafes and pubs, and only a minute away from the sea front. It was also very clean.
Cons: The single room was very small, however it had a recently refurbished bathroom which was nice.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff especially Carl, such a nice welcome, room clean tidy and warm, breakfast good choice and fresh, close to the Brighton centre our reason for the stay, will definitely be returning.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was superfriendly and very helpful and welcoming. The beautiful old town house was renovated really well, with taste and quality. The breakfast was fresh, with fruits, a great selection of good cheeses, jams and marmalade s and everything I could wish for - I had much worse breakfasts at big pricey hotels. The room was small, but had everything I needed for the stay of one night: tea and coffee and water cooker, a good hair dryer, even an iron. Also the bathroom was small, but nicely done. Beautiful atmosphere and the music to breakfast was more than relaxing!
Cons: If I‘d stay for more nights, I would ask for a bigger room. But for a short stay it was enough. No elevator, but the staff carried up my heavy suitcase! Very friendly!!!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms
Cons: Ground floor sea facing room rather noisy
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully renovated townhouse. Comfortable, classy and very thoughtfully designed. I've stayed in some 'overdesigned' rooms lately so I really appreciated how comfortable and user-focused the design was here, while still being beautiful.
Cons: Shower drain was sealed; needed staff to fix. Hair left in bathroom by previous guests, otherwise very clean. The bathroom was really nice in every other way though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful stay in this beautiful room at this lovely hotel. Staff were amazing and the location was perfect. Can’t wait to come back!
Cons: That we couldn’t stay longer!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect with our stay at Drakes, the staff could not do enough for you. Everyone was so lovely and really went above and beyond for you. We were upgraded for free upon our arrival, which was amazing and all the things I’d planned whilst there were seamless, I.e. in house massage and pre-ran bath with rose petal decoration. Would fully recommend anyone to stay here, as it was the best hotel stay me and my partner have ever had.
Cons: There were no faults with this property.
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfy bed
Cons: I can’t complain about the staff as they were great but I was disappointed with the room considering how much I paid. The a/c didn’t work and the room got quite warm. Opening a window wasn’t great either as we were right above the kitchen and kept getting wafts of grease coming into the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely can’t fault Drakes - we were well looked after and accommodated for from the moment we arrived.

7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is convenient for us as our son lives in Hove, and the hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Although the food was generally OK, some dishes were not up to standard. As with so many hotels, there is not enough coffee/tea/milk provided in the rooms. The floor indicator lights for the lift need new bulbs, just as they did on previous visits - this is so frustrating!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location near beach and town. Staff superb, food good. Rooms lovely and everything works.
Cons: There is no area in the hotel for residents to relax. The small area in reception is draughty and there are only two setters with no tables in the bar. Parking is difficult.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean comfortable great location
Cons: Work vans and scaffolding tower made it awkward to access the main entrance. Night reception unable to provide glasses for champagne in our room for my 50th birthday- a bit inflexible really

Locals friendly, welcoming and some great stories. Room comfortable, warm and clean. Bed comfortable and crisp, clean linen. Ensuite great and shower powerful. The rooms have their own entrance from the street but can also be accessed through the pub. Breakfast is continental style in the room with a mini fridge with milk and juice in. Lovely to wander down stairs for a drink or two.
Cons: The mini fridge was not that efficient and made an intrusive noise. There's no desk space but there is a pleasant window seat. Wednesday morning is delivery morning, but not too noisy!

Pros: Clean and simple. Close to the seafront. Definitely value for money.
Cons: Could have had a mirror on the dressing table.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, very nice kitchen, great breakfast with healthy options like multi-grain bread and müesli (would love some yogurt next time). Reasonably quiet at night. Everyone loves the beds; for me, the mattress was too soft, but fine for a couple nights.
Cons: Power-points were far from the beds and some weren't working. Window seat upholstery in #4 was coming apart and fibers got everywhere-- pls re-upholster! One bathroom sink hot water tap was broken. Looks like they are gradually fixing these small problems.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Well equipped kitchen with good breakfast options (cereal, toast, eggs) and proper coffee. Staff friendly and helpful. A 20 minute walk from the train stain. There were many eating options nearby.
Cons: The top bunk bed was low meaning you couldn't sit up and scraped your back getting up from the bottom bunk. 1 personal bathroom for 8 people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean good area near the shops and sea
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very nice and helpful. It's a plus that both bedding and towels are included and a simple yet sufficient breakfast is provided. The rooms as well as the kitchen are very nice and clean. Further I had a nice side view towards the ocean from my room's window.
Cons: There was not much to dislike but expect to find a house that does show signs that it was built a long time ago.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kevin was great. The place was impeccably clean and organized. This is now my go-to in Brighton.
Cons: Shower pressure could be a little stronger. :)

Pros: Very clean and comfortable nights stay. Bed was great and our superior room was spacious. Location was excellent, a comfortable walk into the centre of Brighton and a minute from the waterfront. Good shopping and restaurants near the property as well. It was quiet and perfect for a weekend away.
Cons: Parking is on the street and the pass that is on offer costs. Other establishments often provide such a pass for free. I didn’t get to sample the breakfast as it doesn’t start until 8:00am which is a tad late in my opinion.

Pros: We were so welcomed on arriving and staff were extremely accommodating and went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. Couldn’t fault The Claremont at all, we felt very pleased and comfortable. Lovely special touches through your stay and such a beautiful bedroom/ bathroom. The accommodation includes a breakfast which is a thoughtful touch. Good value for money too compared to other places close that were similar. Defiantly want to visit again soon ‘

Pros: Nicely decorated, clean and friendly staff. My bed was very comfortable
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast was poor and did not cater for business people as did not facilitate breakfast before 8 am. I had a very small bedroom (single room) but it was nice and clean. No lift, and up 3 or 4 floors. Staff very courteous.

Pros: Good welcome from Dan. Clean comfortable room with garden view. Competitively priced parking Good breakfast
Cons: Nothing to dislike
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Jake and the Housekeeping team's help and attention to make us as comfortable as possible, was truly appreciated especially as I had broken an ankle and struggled with the stairs, luggage etc. The lady who heads up the team, apologies I have forgotten her name, was wonderful. So caring, professional and unobtrusive. Both our rooms were clean and very spacious, Dan very welcoming on front desk and everyone really looked after myself and my daughter and made us feel very welcome. You made it special, thank you so much.We even extended our stay, even if it was due to unforeseen circumstances! The hotel team also called an ambulance and helped me down the stairs as I left and were concerned enough to check my daughter had cash for the taxi back from the hospital. All amazing! Thank you !!
Cons: The ONLY blip on this lovely stay was....2 nights were charged to my credit card without my knowledge. Regardless of who from the front desk's fault it was , it should not happen. I extended my stay here after my accident happened, happily so but I had no idea a new charge was made to my card at that point, one night's accommodation, as well as at the start of my stay. This is obviously not an oversight. Twice, separately this was carried out. It's not cool....Be honest and upfront about it. It won't matter then not one iota. It shouldn't come as a surprise to the paying guest. Suggest you address this internally, immediately. Not sure why you just don't mention it face to face on check in.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was well cooked and presented. Rooms were clean and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The restaurants we went to in the neighbourhood were very good. There was a variety to choose from. I would definitely like to stay there again and would recommend everyone to book this hotel for their stay in Brighton.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully situated in the Regency quiet of Brunswick Square.
Cons: Our room was bijou, the en-suite was tiny (good job we are too).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property with easy access to Brighton attractions. Host very helpful. Parking nearby is an issue but this is so for many cities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location ideal, near beach, i360 BA Tower, excellent restaurants. Comfortable bed and great breakfasts.
Cons: We realise the owners are updating rooms gradually, the only thing we would have liked was the bathroom updated and preference would be shower room, rather than bath. That said the bathroom was clean and functional.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The warm welcome, cleanliness, and location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely characterful property. Retro inspired reception. Accommodating and friendly staff
8.3 Excellent
Cons: I was very disappointed to be on the very top floor of the hotel as I was told in writing I would be on the lower floor as I had requested. I was also very upset that payment was taken for both days I booked, even though I had to leave a day early as my brother died. I left before 11am so the room could have been rebooked and most probably was. Very disappointing.

5.4 Okay
Pros: The entrance was nice and bright welcomed by two nice and helpful staff members. Location was okay.
Cons: Very dated property. Rooms dated and dirty looking. The house staff obviously do the best they can but money needs to be spent on upgrading or people will just pay a bit more and stay elsewhere. Parking was annoying. Again the staff were very patient in explaining it all. Granted I did park okay, but in height of season I can imagine that would be impossible. I asked for a ground floor room and when I got there was told they don’t have one. I wouldn’t have minded but I even got an email back to say that they were please to accept my request

Pros: Good size room and polite staff
Cons: TV didn't work at first, had to ask for hairdryer, plug broken, shower broken, nasty smell at night and sound of constant running water.
