There were people will early alarms above me at 3am and it woke me up. The movement as they got showered and ready to leave kept me awake. The floorboards need to be screwed down after proper sound insulation is installed. Apart from this, its a great place to stay.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice clean room and bed comfortable. Breakfast menu very good.
Cons: Being so close to the town centre it was a bit noisy with people hanging around when the pubs closed. Probably wouldn’t choose to stay there again if we visited Holmfirth. Probably choose a B and B out of the centre.

Pros: Had tea there and food was excellent. Food service was good. Blackout curtains in bedroom. Very comfortable bed Nice little extra's provided in the room
Cons: No notification prior to staying, to say car park unavailable, regardless of there being alternate arrangements! Reception said that guests should have been notified. Sent email 2 days before stay to make an enquiry, got no response! Didn't stay for breakfast but "couldn't" discount because the overall stay was a "package!!"
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfortable bed.Excellent breakfast.
Cons: It would be a good idea to ask at the booking stage how old visitors are or if any infirmitys .We were on the top floor and although we are both in our late 70s luckily the many stair steps were not a problem for us but lots of people our age just wouldn't have managed them.A kind young member of staff did carry our luggage up for us though
6.7 Good
Pros: Location was central
Cons: The car park was full when we arrived so had to pay for parking but then later moved it. The location was central but very noisy at night. The room we had was very small and not good value for money.
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff were friendly .
Cons: I passed d £100 for a room with cancellation. It was the tiniest room in the eaves. The roof is almost a whole belt window above your head. It rained all night, no sleep. There was also a live music gig in the adjoining building that could be hear loud and clear from this room. Would have been nice to have been told before paying for the room.the room was of poor standard.

Cons: nothing

Pros: Second time here and great
Cons: It appears there was a really noisy guest nearby as we heard loud music for a few minutes at night and raised voices again before 8am and I don’t think it was from the function rooms ; it was brief so I am not going to make an issue of it and certainly will not blame the hotel You can’t take some people anywhere

Pros: Booked an hour before arrival. I didn't want to stay in the centre, so the location was perfect, clean, tidy, ample parking, with a good breakfast at a decent price. I didn't use the bar which was adequate, or adjoining Italian restaurant, but it would have come in handy if needed.

5.8 Okay
Pros: It was clean and the reception staff were helpful
Cons: It had a tired appearance and needed upgrading. Both bedside lamps did not work on arrival but a new bulb was fitted to one which fixed it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The views around the hotel was great, honestly though my favourite part was the bathroom it was incredible with the rainfall shower it was bliss! The room was very clean and the staff where very helpful especially as they accomodated us off an early flight, they gave us great recommendations on where to get dinner and where to go, would highly recommend staying.
Cons: It is a bit secluded so a car would be advised.

Pros: Cost, room size, bed was very comfortable, breakfast was lovely (fantastic views from breakfast room), offering great selection with value for money. The reception staff were polite and friendly.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the rustic location with great views. For me it is in a prime location for our needs and the facilities were excellent with the staff being very friendly and accommodating to our needs. I have to say the restaurant was fantastic, (the best peppercorn sauce in my opinion)! I would/will definitely book here again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed for a one night stop over. We were warmly welcomed and a quick check in soon saw us in our comfortable cost room. We were very pleased with the equally warm and friendly service in the bar and restaurant and the food was very good too. Great views from our table at breakfast if you don't have your own transport but you do have great views
Cons: It is a bite remote
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy bed
Cons: Needed a bathroom blind as when lights on you could see everything through the voile/net.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked 3 rooms here at short notice after another hotel cancelled our booking at the last minute. We couldn't have been happier. It has a stunning location with extensive views, easy access from the motorway and into Huddersfield. The rooms were on the small side but well presented, clean, comfortable, warm and quiet with a good sized bathroom including a bath. Good wifi and a full English breakfast were included for a good price. We also had Sunday lunch in the restaurant which was excellent. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating. There was ample free parking on site.
Cons: Smallish room. Breakfast hours were fairly limited.

7.5 Good
Pros: All was very good with the hotel and the breakfast was well cooked and tasty with lots of choose from.
Cons: The hotel was odd and we got the impression, that maybe it was also being used as a hostel. Not that there were any problems, just a bit odd.
7.5 Good
Pros: breakfast not included
Cons: my room was beside the attendance, and the noise disturbed me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I didn't opt to have breakfast. I had a very relaxing, comfortable stay - I would highly recommend. The owner & staff were very friendly & respectful. Super location - close to a really lovely park.
Cons: There is nothing I didn't like apart from maybe the room lighting - not bright enough to facilitate a lot of reading.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Whole hotel excellently refurbished to very high standard. Rooms spacious massive shower. Worked all round the world for many years this beautifull grade three building is one of the best I’ve ever stopped in.
Cons: Nothing , place is perfect.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Edgerton is a basic budget hotel and the room was small but it was spotless and provided everything I needed. It is great value and the staff were really, really friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast buffet was only £7 so I was pleasantly surprised to find a great selection of good quality hot food. I would definitely stay again.
Cons: Room was small and up some very steep stairs (in an attic) but it suited my needs.
7.5 Good
Pros: Hotel clean
Cons: Waiting for a refund
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, a massive, comfy room and bed, good TV service, powerful shower, big mirror, iron and hairdryer and lots of lamps. Staff were fine with us ordering takeout food and supplied us with plates and cutlery. Close to the Magic Rock Tap room which was brilliant and actually not too far from town.
Cons: No kettle in the room despite there being tea and coffee, though I'm sure they'd have given us one if we had asked. Also no biscuits! But I am being greedy now.
7.1 Good
Pros: Lovely and clean. Good size room and en-suite.
Cons: Pillows flat. Basement room next to Kitchen? Very noisy in the morning 6.30a.m unexpected wake up call!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Awful service rude staff
Cons: As above
4.6 Okay
Pros: Location fine for working in the city centre.
Cons: It's a being used as a half-way house for crack heads. Great if you don't mind monged up drug addicts slamming doors and shouting at 3am. Didn't bother with breakfast as the dining room was full of crack heads every morning. Did I mention the crack heads in the car park at all hours also shouting?

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location of the property was very easy to find, check in was nice and easy also. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Room was ample for my stay and a full bathroom was available which was clean and well stocked. Would stay here again if in the area.
Cons: No
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Accurately described compact room that had wifi and TV, also use of a kitchen with tea/coffee making facilities, toaster and microwave. Parking also. Good for the price.
Cons: Not a criticism though I would suggest putting a small table or shelves in the small gap between the side of the bed and the wardrobe, somewhere to put your phone, drink etc.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good cooked Breakfast, supplied fairly promptly, and pleasant and helpful Landlord
Cons: I would have liked a chair to sit down on in the bedroom, and a television that worked using the remote control provided. There was no glass in the room or the bathroom, for me to use to take my daily prescription medication
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great staff clean and friendly, perfect for a one night stay for the price
Cons: Short bed I am 6 ft
6.7 Good
Pros: Bathroom sink cracked and shower getting past its best. OK budget place to stay whilst visiting friends who were unable to accommodate us. Most importantly the room was clean - with good quality towels. A case of you get what you pay for and we got as was expected. Didn’t sample the breakfast (good cafe up the road) - so cannot comment on this.
Cons: Room would have been better with just the double bed and a comfy chair to sit in. A bath mat would have been helpful. Parking is tight and backing onto a fast road, so you need to be a confident driver.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room smelt amazing. Such good value for money. I paid £20 for one night and got a comfy, clean bed, free coffee, a warm shower and towels and a working TV.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful, good value for money. Ensuite room was comfortable. Think it was quieter cause we stayed Monday to Friday. Hubby loved his daily cooked breakfast. We will come back when next visiting family.
5.0 Okay
Pros: It was warm. The towels were nice.
Cons: The bedding smelt like damp discloths. The decor was drab. The toilet seat was wonky. The TV was awkward to watch.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was great, basic but comfortable beds.
Cons: No breakfast, unless you let them know the day before. This was explained when we checked in so was a little gutted we couldn’t eat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and cosy rooms
The Old Golf House Hotel - Huddersfield - Building

C$ 89+

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Accommodated early arrival (11:00am) from Airport after overnight flight. Friendly, cheerful, and very helpful staff. For us this is the primary thing that defines the hotel as a place we'll return to when in the area. Located close to M62. Excellent green space in hotel grounds.
Cons: Accommodations fairly dated but kept well maintained and clean. Quite a bit of ongoing renovation in the common areas while we were there. Staff were taking special care to ensure guest safety and minimize any inconvenience. One of the outer pair of doors on the main entrance had a faulty closing mechanism and people entering and leaving were not closing it manually. Made for a chilly experience getting in and out (January in Yorkshire).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable beds. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff friendly and helpful. Nice gardens which regrettably we could not experience due the weather. Certainly woukd revisit
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff went out of their way on several occasions they could have been more helpful
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I like rustic locations and the hotel was great for our needs. Rooms are a good size, warm, great shower in our opinion and fantastic bed - we both had great nights’ sleeping. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and we really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: I have to be honest and say that the dining experience left a lot to my desires but maybe they were having an ‘off’ day?
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, food was lovely both at Breakfast and Dinner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great position
8.0 Excellent
Pros: *Food *Accommodation *Customer service
Cons: Speaking to a trainee who didn't know how to add breakfast onto the bill for the next day. I went to reception and told to wait while the phone was answered. Been continually asked had I signed for the bill (I was walking through restaurant then stopped while they double checked even though I had already signed and presented my key) That was the only thing that needs improvement - sort out your customers first and get the payment solutions for charging to the room correctly. More staff training needed - as they have excellent staff that are outstanding but it's the procedures that they have been given don't work well enough . Customer service was outstanding - just the proceedures need work
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Enjoyed the food we had there.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is good for walking and very near the motorway for easy access to other locations.

Cons: Building is old design so not ideal

Pros: The Staff were pleasant and helpful, the Hotel quiet at night, the room was OK if a bit tired looking. On the whole alright for a single night stay.
Cons: The room was a bit too warm and I could hear the Air Con. or a fan of some kind.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was super comfy and the room was a good standard for the price we paid. And the breakfast was well worth the money.
Cons: I don't really think there was anything not to like.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was very clean too. The leisure facilities were extremely good as well. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Cons: The hot food at breakfast wasn't kept hot so, although it was really good, it just wasn't warm. Also, the restaurant felt quite chilly as the air conditioning was on.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious clean room, clean bathroom. Comfortable bed.Strong wife connection throughout hotel. Nice bar / restaurant. Good selection at breakfast with eggs cooked fresh to order. Decent evening meal. Decent little gym and poolside facilities. Polite and friendly staff in all areas.
Cons: Shower curtain was a little grubby / well used. Rowing machine in the gym a bit of an antique.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was a free for all so decided not to bother with it breakfast stuff was everywhere and no clean tables not expected from a Cedar Court Hotel
Cons: Service poor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of choice well cookef
7.1 Good
Pros: We enjoyed the leisure facilities and the location was perfect for our needs.
Cons: We found the the food and drinks to be a bit pricey and inconsistent in quality. Great evening meal then found the cooked breakfast to be lukewarm. In our room we found the bed pillows (even the spare ones in the wardrobe) very hard. The toilet was difficult to flush until you mastered the knack. The plug in the sink did not fit well and the water within slowly drained away, had to refill whilst shaving. There were two oversized screws sticking out of the bath panel which I caught my ankle on,however no injury was sustained. Although the room looked like it had undergone a recent refurbishment aspects within the bathroom were shabby e.g. sealant, excess grout smearing at high level and damage to the sink unit profile. All these points would be very easily remedied. Room 265.

3.3 Mediocre
Cons: before I even got to the property, I received an email that one of the rooms I booked (I booked 5) was under maintenance. And a mattress would be placed in one of my other rooms. Not a great start but hey ho we were on a night out, not to worry too much. Got there there were 5 rooms, no extra mattress and no actual staff on site to speak to. Called the number at the bottom of my email and spoke to a lady and she said she would sort it and get back to me. Now I waited and waited. In fact I waited an hour and a half before I decided I would call back. I called around 5 times and no answer to any of the calls. Brilliant now one of the females had to share a bed with another male. Check out was at 12 and as previously stated we were staying here because we were on a night out. 8:30am and I was woken to what can only be described as the sounds of a construction site. I’m sure the ceiling was going to come through at some point. Then every hour the maid and another gentleman kept coming into the room asking if we were ready to leave. The worst experience I’ve ever had.
