This is our second visit to this property and it did not disappoint. The hotel is a little older but very well kept. The grounds, pool and beach are beautiful. The rooms are spacious and the beds are so comfy. What makes the property is the staff. They really go out of their way to make sure you have the perfect Hawaiian vacation. The hotel is also right near shopping and restaurants.
Beach was nice
Pool not heated. Parking difficult. No amenities.
Great location for a “beach front” unit. Many of the other units are built at angles and seem to have a view of the other buildings. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Loved having a bar at the pool, with very reasonable drink prices! Very convenient location, with short walks to shops, restaurants and market.
The lighting in the bathroom was so dim, I had to go out to the patio to put on makeup. It really needs an upgrade: very old school, with small, stained tub, ragged curtain, one sink. The property in general seems dated, and not especially maintained well. Paint peeling from railings, chips and stains on cement stairs and walkways. There is a microwave, but no glass containers to use for heating. No cooktop. Refrigerator had plenty of room, but no freezer. The room was furnished nicely with good rattan, but was crowded, so no room for a bedside table on my side, which was very inconvenient. No place to set down a book, glasses, a cup, phone, etc. I had to use the small couch, which was two inches away from the side of the bed. Anyone with mobility issues would have trouble getting in and out of bed on that side. The screen door to the balcony needs to be replaced; very old, rusted, hard to open and close (I had to use both hands to do it!) Very limited choices for TV viewing, but they do offer free DVD’s to check out for use in the room.
The staff were attentive and friendly. Grounds were beautiful. Loved that there was laundry availability. Location was good. Pool and tiki bar were awesome.
Different amenities in each room. Our neighbors had a toaster and a clothes rack but we did not.
Absolutely loved being able to walk onto the beach and stick my toes in the surf every day. Oceanview room looked right out to the sea. We left the patio door open most of the time just to listen to the waves. Wifi worked great and they gave us free coffee coupons for Imua coffee shop each day. It was nice being able to walk to several restaurants nearby.
