A great place to stay, in such an ideal location. Bass and Roger were the perfect hosts. Thank you both.
The front desk was regularly unattended. The room was a 2br, one room seemed to be an enclosed deck with opaque plastic roof which let in light, was noisy in the rain and not insulated in any way. The carpet was covered in every room with a layer of someone’s long, dark hair. The beds were so uncomfortable that one of our group decided to try the floor instead. The foyer and staircase was smelly and the smell came into our room. The kitchen was not clean. We were miserable for two nights and decided to cut our losses and go elsewhere. Our luggage was going to be stored in a hallway, unsupervised and not locked if we chose to store it there after check out. Do not book this hotel.
A complete fraud! No wonder: a basement fire trap with no emergency exits, smelling of moist, rot and sigarette and a landlord yelling and bullying. Arrived late evening, but left first thing next morning. Was supposed to stay for four nights. Nice location, yes. But don’t stay there!
the location was very nice
Amazing location, friendly staff, and fabulous price! It wasn’t luxury, but at the prices being charged you cannot expect luxury. It was perfectly positioned, functional accommodation. Somewhere to lay your head and crash out in a very expensive postcode without paying the local prices. Do not discount this property due to negative reviews as having visited it the negativity is not justified. It’s just budget accommodation, but run by friendly people who are maintaining a large property in an expensive area with low prices - you can’t expect luxury based on this, but perfect for a bolt hole for a few nights! Would definitely return!
Shower temperature control was an entertaining challenge! The rest of the property aspects were to be expected for the price, but no complaints from me as was perfect for what we needed!
