Overview
The upscale, Spanish-colonial style Hotel Figueroa is located just opposite of the Grammy Museum in Downtown Los Angeles, California. The hotel was first established in 1926 as a haven for professional female travelers, which was quite a rare and progressive statement at the time. The hotel maintains its creative and socially progressive stature to this day.
Over 260 elegantly styled rooms and suites are furnished with artistic touches and contemporary Spanish charm. All rooms include free wifi, flat-screen television, minibars, an iPad, air-conditioning, custom bedding, a spacious bathroom, and plenty of windows which let in bright, natural light. Guests can choose from a multitude of accommodations, including Classic King rooms, Queen rooms, Deluxe, Double, and an array of artistic luxury suites. Suites feature wet bars, balconies, terraces, coffee makers, and spacious sitting areas. All accommodations are pet and kid-friendly.

There are a handful of exceptional dining and bar options onsite. Guests can dine at the stunning poolside Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, Veranda. Veranda’s menu highlights fresh seasonal favorites, light Mediterranean fare, salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, and more. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and knows how to deliver in ambiance and style. The on-site cocktail bar, Bar Figueroa, offers specialty hand-crafted cocktails, light Spanish tapas, and fine wines. Rick’s is another on-site cocktail bar which offers coastal vibes in a laid back, chic setting.

Pros (+) Beautiful surroundings. Offer that included parking. Restaurant and pool.
Cons (-) Nothing. It was perfect!
Pros (+) The hotel staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. They had umbrellas you can borrow.
Cons (-) The cleaning staff needs to be retrained. The basics were not taken care of in my room eg shampoo, conditioner, floor mat etc... were not replenished when needed/ garbage pails were not emptied.

Pros (+) Hotel was beautiful and incredibly clean. The bed was great and the bathroom was clean but a little outdated. The staff was amazing, especially Andrew who checked us in. The most amazing part though was the pool and the location!

Cons (-) The bad. They don't use keycards for the elevator or door. As mentioned, there are some sketchy characters outside, and there's lots of people coming inside for the pool parties at night.
