Overview
The upscale, Spanish-colonial style Hotel Figueroa is located just opposite of the Grammy Museum in Downtown Los Angeles, California. The hotel was first established in 1926 as a haven for professional female travelers, which was quite a rare and progressive statement at the time. The hotel maintains its creative and socially progressive stature to this day.
Over 260 elegantly styled rooms and suites are furnished with artistic touches and contemporary Spanish charm. All rooms include free wifi, flat-screen television, minibars, an iPad, air-conditioning, custom bedding, a spacious bathroom, and plenty of windows which let in bright, natural light. Guests can choose from a multitude of accommodations, including Classic King rooms, Queen rooms, Deluxe, Double, and an array of artistic luxury suites. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and knows how to deliver in ambiance and style. The on-site cocktail bar, Bar Figueroa, offers specialty hand-crafted cocktails, light Spanish tapas, and fine wines. Rick’s is another on-site cocktail bar which offers coastal vibes in a laid back, chic setting.

Cons (-) Nothing. It was perfect!
Pros (+) The hotel staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. They had umbrellas you can borrow.
Cons (-) The cleaning staff needs to be retrained. The basics were not taken care of in my room eg shampoo, conditioner, floor mat etc... were not replenished when needed/ garbage pails were not emptied.

Pros (+) Hotel was beautiful and incredibly clean. The bed was great and the bathroom was clean but a little outdated. The staff was amazing, especially Andrew who checked us in. The most amazing part though was the pool and the location!

Pros (+) I enjoyed the exotic feel of the bar with the Indian decor. The pool area is gorgeous. Had I been able to arrive before 10pm I eould have enjoyed a dip. The water pressure in the shower was phenomenal. The hotel overall had old world charm and a nice bistro style dining area.
Cons (-) The room smelled like mildew and dust. The bed was horribly pitted from years of bodies on each side. The sheets and pillows smelled like they were stuffed damp into a closet for the day then dried and put on the bed. The carpet was red at one point. Its brown and very dingy now. I wouldn't walk around without socks.
