10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm and friendly welcome from Ali and Cen. Our room and bathroom was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Quality ingredients used for breakfast, it was perfect. Not to mention the beautiful sea views from our room and the dining room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: Welcoming and friendly staff, cosy and clean rooms, a delicious breakfast and a strategic position (just a few meters from the seafront promenade), with an excellent quality-price ratio. It felt like home, hope to come back soon!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were so helpful and insightful on the area , the room overlooked the ocean - all together amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The B&B's location was superb - the seafront was right across the road, and everything we needed was within walking distance to Mumbles (or Swansea, if you were wanting a nice long walk along the beach). Our hosts, Ali and Cen, were lovely, and their hospitality began before we had even arrived - a text with instructions to access the property, and directions on where to find parking, which was really appreciated. Our breakfast was fabulous, so much choice, both hot and cold, with juices and hot drinks too - there is nothing I would fault them on. We loved the small 'fridge in the room, with cold water, and tea & coffee facilities were really great, with fresh milk when needed. Also loved the Welsh cakes and cake available in the afternoons - it's the little touches that make all the difference, and we were very impressed! Our room was light and airy, and the bed very comfortable. Fresh towels in the bathroom, and great showering facilities - it was actually tempting to stay in the room and relax, and not actually go out and enjoy the sea breeze and sunshine! We highly recommend Tides Reach, and will definitely be heading back for more sun, sea and sand, and a catch up with Cen and Ali!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation, food and hospitality were exceptional. The little extras and attention to detail were delightful. Impossible to fault the whole experience.
Cons: Parking was a little inconvenient but not the fault of the owners and did not detract from the quality of our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was the highlight of the day with a varied menu to choose from, served by Cen in a friendly manner and enjoying the wonderful view over Swansea Bay as we enjoyed the meal. A similar wonderful view was enjoyed from our room.
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.

Cons: Everything was brilliant, couldn't fault it in any way.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was superb. The hosts Ali and Cen were very friendly and full of knowledge of the surrounding areas. The room was fantastic, very clean with a women’s touch. They had included everything from tea/coffee, a fridge and there was a guest book with all details of the best places to eat and visit. We followed these recommendations and was not disappointed. Breakfast was fantastic. We would definitely use this accommodation in the future.

Pros: Great room, comfortable bed, good shower.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The setting and house were spectacular, and the wonderful hike to Three Cliffs and the ruined castle should be experienced by all guests. Made especially memorable by the printed sheet about the charming myth surrounding the castle.
Cons: The staff was competent but didn't smile or greet guests. This tended to create an unwelcoming air about the place. The exception was Olive, who took time to talk with us about the property's fascinating background. If the staff had been a little friendlier, I would have given the place a top rating.

Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming hosts who had great knowledge of their local area and beyond. Large comfortable bed with very clean facilities. Excellent breakfast with great variety.
Cons: Some road traffic noise but did not deter from overall great impression of the accommodation.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Only an overnight stop, but the facilities were excellent. The staff that we met were very helpful and friendly and made us feel very good, after what was a stressful day. The bed was extremely comfortable and both my husband and myself (who are generally poor sleepers) had a very good night and felt very refreshed in the morning. An excellent breakfast was served and we would highly recommend The Barn to friends. Hopefully we will be able to visit for a longer stay in the future.
Cons: There was not anything that we disliked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts were fantastic and facilities were excellent
Cons: We thought the property was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were really friendly and welcoming, from the moment we arrived to handing our keys in. The barn is just off the M4, is a short drive to Margam Park (3 minutes) and only 15 minutes to both Aberavon beach and Porthcawl. We used 3 rooms and 2 cottages as a family group of 15; 4 families. There is a wide variety of items for breakfast (7-9 Monday- Friday 7.30-9.30 Saturday-Sunday). From a fresh cooked Welsh breakfast; bacon, sausage, egg, beans and tomato, to fresh fruit, cereal, toast, croissants, yoghurt and tinned fruit. Plenty of fresh ground coffee and tea for breakfast too. I stayed in the disabled access room, which was comfortable, with a wet room, hairdryer, kettle, tea, coffee and biscuits available. Fresh towels are provided and an iron and ironing board are available on request. The beds and pillows are very soft and you sink into them, so if you do prefer a hard pillow make sure to bring your own. The b&b has 6 parking spaces, but there are plenty more for the cottages. If you are looking for takeout for an evening, there is an Indian restaurant close by, with a Chinese & kebab / pizza takeouts in nearby Pyle. (None deliver) and there are a few places in just eat that will deliver. Asda is the local supermarket in Pyle and also has a petrol station, this is maybe around a 6 minute drive. The supermarket is only a small one and closes at 4pm on Sunday. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for somewhere where the whole family wants to be comfortable.
Cons: I think the lighting in the b&b rooms could have been brighter, we needed to use all the lights at the same time to be able to see properly.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Lovely spacious place safe secure and private carpark

Pros: It is in the most fantastic location...on the beach . The host was really friendly and helpful. The facilities were exceptional....I had everything needed and more. It was much bigger than I expected and very quiet
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: Everything was fine except for steep stairs to apartment as we were on top floor.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location and view of the beach from our 3rd floor apartment.
Cons: If a narrow steep staircase with shallow treads is a problem then it is best to book a ground floor apartment.
7.9 Good
Pros: Absolutely great location, stunning views from the balcony. Very kind owners, helpful in any way.
Cons: The apartment was fully equipped, but for the money you pay I would have expected a little more luxury.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, very close to the beach with wonderful sea-views. The accommodation is modern and comfortable. You can normally get your keys from a key safe, but we were sent the wrong PIN for some reason, but the landlady is right next door, and came and sorted us out as soon as we rang the bell.
Cons: Directions weren't very clear - it's past The Ship Inn, next to the youth hostel, both of which are well-signposted. Our apartment was on the second floor, which has great views, but more stairs and smaller balcony than the first or ground floors. Port Eynon beach is not dog-friendly between May-September.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners really did think of everything to make our stay comfortable. The apartment was very clean and tidy, bed linen and towels were fab. Bathroom and shower excellent. Just the best location literally yards from the beach.
Cons: Couldn’t fault it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, lock box made key access easy for late arrival, clean and tidy, everything for self catering was provided and in working order. Overall, refreshingly good!
Cons: Nothing major not to like. The minor points: No hooks for coats etc, no shelf for toiletries in the bathroom, great to have equipment for making real coffee but I would prefer a cafetière instead of (or as well as) a filter coffee machine.
7.9 Good
Cons: Bathroom needed updating
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Professional,caring , friendly

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property is amazing.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and the grounds are beautiful. Cudos to the front desk staff who was so kind in changing our room as the one we were originally given had an overwhelming bad odor that we couldn't stay with. I would have given this place a lower rating if it weren't for the very friendly and accommodating staff. Our second room was pretty comfortable and the shower had great water pressure.
Cons: The hotel was overall dirty, the first thing I noticed walking up the stairs was that the carpets looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a long time. The wooden floors in the dining hall we're also dirty and sticky. The hotel is in need of repairs with leaks in the ceiling at the entrance and has an overall rundown look. I don't think the presentation of the hotel matches the room rate.
7.9 Good
Pros: Beautiful grounds, lovely food, Helpful staff, modern bathroom
Cons: A little dated with furnishings/carpets
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely amazing place, amazing staff, amazing surroundings
5.4 Okay

10.0 Excellent
Pros: very comfortable bed with sofa ideal
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable room.
Cons: No choice of yoghurts, no dried fruit, no fruit salad for breakfast. I had the last free parking space when I arrived at 8pm. I was told there were still 20 more guests to arrive after me, so I have no idea where they would have parked as the others had to be paid for. The hair dryer had been attached to the wall in a way the limited the length of the flex. If you held the dryer in your left hand, the flex wasn't actually long enough to stretch to the left hand side of your head! The room was very dark.

Cons: The rooms were very resonant and the walls thin so that even normal quiet conversation sounded boomy and intrusive and the service, particularly for meals, was very slow though the food was good.

7.9 Good
Pros: breakfast ok, but, very small side plates for toast/Croissants, eggs slightly over cooked. nice fresh fruit selection.
Cons: the Shower sliding doors very narrow gap even when fully open (room 2) had to squeeze (I am not that 'big') through. the small bar area could have been more comfortable chairs rather than stools, perhaps offering pot of tea in the afternoon.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: The door was glass and overlooking the parking and we got woken up at 7:30am from the delivery trucks. Our television kept turning on through the night, noisy people next door, fire alar going off at 2am for 10 minutes.

Pros: Loved the apartment style accommodation
Cons: No complimentary coffee in the rooms

Pros: Proximity to beach and quality of beach,Good meal on the last night when the place was quieter and staff could cope.

Cons: No basics in room, eg tissues and few tea bags milk etc
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location on the Gower for beaches, nice aspect for afternoon/evening sun. Accommodation was very good, my in laws really liked their room.
Cons: A lot of people want to stop by at the Kings Head Inn on their way to or from from the beach. A good thing but this means it's geared to serve quantities of people so it was busy. We had hoped (perhaps naively) we could relax more in the Inn itself but found we'd go to our rooms rather than stay in the bar due to the music and lack of a comfortable area to sit, drink and chat.

Pros: Neither of us smoked there was a cigarette butt in bathroom. My friend got out the bath as he got out the bath he banged his head and cut it. Not very good positioning of the door in bathroom
Cons: Very noisy
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We booked the hotel for the close location to an event at the theatre . We were not disappointed every thing was spot on , lovely staff great restaurant (had the best Welsh lamb shank I have ever eaten) and even some entertainment when we returned from our night out. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation
Cons: Can’t fault anything even the bar drinks are very reasonable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located in an ideal area nearby to the town and main roads. The hotel is very clean and staff are friendly and hospitable. We were there for 1 night, and it was our first time staying in Welsh Hotel. We had come from NW London. The breakfast was tasty, however there can be a few more varieties for the price paid. They also gave us a free 1 hour extension for our checkout!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast
Cons: I like a teapot for my tea!
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location. Clean rooms and friendly staff
Cons: The single bed mattresses, put together to make a double, were worn and sagged. Had to sleep on the side edge to ensure my dodgy back wasn't slumping.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful staff friendly and efficient
Cons: Breakfast needs to be improved.. not on choice but on quality of the food
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent rooms, with plenty of space. Rooms very clean, staff excellent would book again and recommend to people. Great choice at breakfast. It was my daughter's wedding there. The whole weekend was catered by the staff and was 2nd to none.
Cons: My daughter who was a bridesmaid for my other daughter, took her son to the toilet and the wedding speeches started she was then stopped from going back into the room until the speeches were finished this we only found out after she came back in the room. My daughter's wedding cake was being taken to be divided into peices and placed in the boxes, luckly my new son in law saw this and managed to get the cake back as my daughter and husband had not cut the cake with photos taken. The manager said he had not realised it had not been cut by them. I found this hard to believe as there was clearly no cuts in the cake what so ever. Had my son in law not seen the cake being carried away it would have ruined the cutting of the cake ceremony. As a wheelchair user i used the lift through out our stay. The lift broke down in the evening, and i was stuck upstairs until the lift was repaired it would have been a real problem if i was downstairs and could not get back to my daughters reception. The lift was repaired which took just a few hours. It may be better maybe if the was a 2nd lift at the end of the building. This is the only fault of the entire weekend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything we needed was there. Restaurant was very good.

Cons: they need put more attention for cleaning! under bed and equipment for tea and coffe was full of dust

Cons: Nothing, all good
6.7 Good
Pros: Most of staff were friendly. The room we finally got (Room #1-double bed) was very good. Nice bed, nice TV, nice view over river. Good breakfast. However that was not the initial experience. See BELOW ...
Cons: First arrived and shown room (double) it was over the pub and noise and customers talking came right through the floor. We asked for another room. The staff member lied to us and told us hotel fully booked. We pushed it and she showed us another room. This one literally over the street. Street noise soooo loud even with windows closed. We said no. She then showed us a room further down. #1. Excellent room. Enjoyed our stay. Do this hotel is very good if you get the right room. Otherwise forget it. And staff shouldn’t lie. That was upset.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and welcoming and lovely big room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thanks to peter for all his help when one of us broke down he could not do enough for us
6.7 Good
Pros: Booked late and due to Royal Welsh Show being on I was limited to where I coud stay. I had ticked to have a double bed when given the choice on the website but ended up with a twin room. When I questioned this I was told that to make up a double room was more expensive and so I took what they had. The room was okay when I eventually got everything to work, IE the shower which had to be fixed and then working out what plug was for what with the TV. Breakfast was okay and freshly cooked but no fruit or Yoghurt if you wanted a healthy option. I will say that the bed was comfy with nice pillows. It is a pity they do not do evening meals, but the bar was not busy so maybe there is no trade for it
Cons: The road outside can be quite noisy. Thankfully I take earplugs. Probably wouldnt stay again
8.3 Excellent

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nothing to complain about really

Pros: A nice place, friendly staff, good breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fresh and amazing and the staff were extremely accommodating and ever so polite. The room was very big, close to all amenities, clean and had good facilities.
Cons: Even though the room stated it had a mini-fridge, unfortunately ours did not, although this was not a problem. The tap in the bathroom was quite loud and we could not figure out how to get the warm water to work on the shower. Music was on until late, however, this is mentioned within the description of the hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great friendly service
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms in desperate need of a refurb
6.7 Good
Pros: It was a convenient location, close to Swansea.
Cons: We had two rooms. One of the electrics were poor in one of the bedrooms. Two plug points didn't work and there was a crackling when one of the plugs was turned on. The TV in the other room didn't work.
