Pros: I loved the simplicity of it all, and the character of the home. The room was large enough for our needs and the bed was a spacious king size. Our host Pierre was very informative and gave us plenty of ideas for things and places to see. He provided us with a impressive breakfast and went beyond to accommodate those with food sensitivities and special diets. For the price, it was more than adequate and would highly recommend staying there.

Cons: One small issue with the place is that the walls are thin and sounds travel. This wouldn't be a problem if every guest was considerate but unfortunately some people really like slamming doors in the night time. Might help if some of the doors got fixed and oiled a bit.

Cons: We stayed six nights. All OK. There was only one morning when breakfast was not that good. It was basically bread and jam. Apart from that, we enjoyed a lot our stay.

Pros: Check in was really easy and Vittorio had some excellent suggestions for activities and dinner. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. My bathroom had a deep tub, which I really enjoyed after walking all day. The location was very close to almost everything and I could not beat the deal with free breakfast and free parking! He has a mini fridge in the common dining room so you can have a place to store wine and soda or other items. The other guests were very friendly and I really enjoyed hearing about their experiences as it helped me plan our activities.

Some folks definitely will not like the tiny bathroom, but it was not a problem for us. Some folks will not like lugging their suitcases up the stairs, but not a problem for us. There's a chance some folks won't like the area (there were some homeless folks hanging out a block or two away, but we walked everywhere with no problems or concerns). Also, driveway parking - sweet!

Cons: Surprised to be met by a sign inside front door to remove footwear but understandable given the wooden floors. Disappointed that couldn’t make a tea or coffee in the room or even downstairs as no milk available. No choice of breakfast and not even any toast and butter. Turns out it was run by a Vegan woman. Toilet in our room was so cramped it would be unusable to a large person or anyone with mobility difficulties.

Cons: Breakfast was not really to our taste. It looked nice on the plate but was basically the same for each of the 5 nights we stayed. It consists primarily of a cold porridge gruel (either chocolate flavoured or not), fruit, and a muffin/scone. 3 days we had a muffin which was a 'vegetable type' and very dry that was not to our taste. Presentation on the plate was done nicely. Coffee facilities available during the day but no milk - we ended up buying milk at a nearby shop.

We both expected some service in the morning with fresh hot coffee, fresh fruit besides bananas, (this is strawberry season) and we did not expect to pay for parking especially when it was on the premises at the back of the house. Even though it was only $9.00, it just seems like a little extra money grab, especially when paying $159.00 + tax for the room. I would not stay there again.

Cons: Breakfast seemed too simple for the price. Anywhere else I stayed with this price provided far better breakfast. What you get is really basic breakfast: coffee, cheap bread and cereals. Boiled eggs were served cold. I wish there were more hot meal options. Wifi in our room was weak and toothbrushes were not provided.

Pros: The location was convenient to bike paths, parks and center city Ottawa. Room was large, very clean and an extremely comfortable bed. Bathroom was spotless and spacious. Breakfast was included and was prepared by Irina and her husband-delicious and nutritious! This wasn't your typical AirBnb-this was a good old fashioned Bed and Breakfast!!

Cons: There was no lock at my room's door. The shared bathroom was alright, but there was no plug to prevent the water from flowing down the drain. In the evening, the road intersection close to the place was quite noisy compared to the place where I live.

Cons: The owner of the property didn’t want to give me the key to my room because he had issues in the past. They keys are right in the open of the front door so it’s a huge security risk, if you’re renting a room with a lock then the only person who should have a key to that room is the guest. The main reason I booked this property is because it offered free shuttle to the airport. When I told the owner the time of my flight (8:30 am) I was told that was too early and to use Uber. Not impressed with the owner ad would not recommend staying here.

Pros: Omg I loved it here! Siri is so welcoming and the room was very clean and comfortable. The house is like an Aladdin’s cave and stuff everywhere so if you’re a minimalist, this is not the place for you. However, it was very much the place for us and despite the clutter, it is very clean. It is right opposite the museum and very central to pubs and restaurants. It was very reasonable cost for location and I would recommend it to anyone. We sat out in the back garden late evening in the warm, balmy weather and treated to toast and fruit for breakfast. I even got the most amazing massage in the SPA room as Siri is a qualified masseuse.
