friendly staff, clean sheets and towels, nice shower, warm room, good bed with firm mattress. Good access to friendly residential neighborhood and good restaurants
nice clean room! near to lots of restaurants.. and easy to get to main attractions..
no parking, and hard to find it!
Very good value.. Nice rooms -- clean and modern.
- wifi did not work in the rooms. Location is a little off [although this has some advantage Breakfast was a little expensive [and I might add the buffet was not clean. I saw a nig fly and that cut my appetite - I would not recommend having breakfast here.]
I did not enjoy anything.
Room are very small and the pictures on the website do not reflect reallity. Outdated rooms, minimal equipment, small and old bathrooms, no WiFi.
The location is an excellent experience for seeing some of the real Paris instead of the tourist traps. The hotel is on a backstreet strip of local restaurants and bars that were lively, great food and good value for money. Hotel staff were very helpful and breakfast is good.
We stayed there based on price and location. The price was only just ok but when we got to our rooms, we wondered why we didn't spend more money. The rooms are old, dumpy and tiny. I spent the same money in Montparnasse last year and had another tiny room, but it was a new renovation and very comfortable (Hotel Rive Gauch Chaplain)
Location was nice and quiet with many restaurants in the area.
Bedroom was shabby, old fitted stained carpet and broken cupboard door. telephone ancient, bot convinced alarm system worked. Upstairs in total contrast to nice, modern, airy, entrance hall.
It is quite handy for Place d'Italie metro and in an area that has sufficient cafes and bars ready to hand. Area is generally quiet and I got a good night's sleep, unlike the two night's I had in Montmartre. Didn't have time to check out bereakfast or the rest of the hotel facilities.
I had a ground floor room, which was functional but a little dark. I suspect they are not the hotel's best rooms, but as a single traveller staying one night I wouldn't expect to get one of those.
Nice interior. Friendly personal in the reception. Nice fairly simple hotel. Good value for its price.
Not so generous breakfast. Somewhat stained wall to wall carpeting in rooms. Beds too firm. Street noicy at night, rooms toward the yard nice and quite.
Excellent location, service, comfort ... everything was excellent
Everything was excellent
location was good, close to the metro
we had the room next to the lift and especially the Saturday night it seemed to run all night and was too noisy for us.
city location is very nice (Butte de Caille)
blutch on carpet
The Hotel Saint Charles Paris is part of the Butte-aux-Cailles quarter of the city and places visitors within easy walking distance of landmarks like Parc Montsouris, the Corvisart Metro Station that takes travelers anywhere in the city, the Charlety Stadium, and more. Within just two miles of the hotel are such famed spots as the Luxembourg Gardens, Notre Dame along the Seine, the Louvre, Opera Bastille, and Gare de Lyon. Three miles gets a visitor to that must-see destination, the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe is but one mile farther. Recently renovated, the stylish, three-star hotel features a private garden with terrace, a quiet lounge and bar, daily breakfast buffet as well as room service, 24-hour front desk, a concierge service, luggage storage, some business services (for a fee), laundry and dry cleaning (for a fee), parking (for a fee), a ticketing desk, and pet-friendly policies.
Because there are only 57 rooms in the hotel, it has a distinctly boutique feel. All are ensuite with large and well-appointed private baths.
