good location. nice staff, good breakfast.
the bar didn't have much choice and closed at 11.
We came to Prague by train to Praha Hlavní nádraží. It´s just 5 minutes walk from the train station to the entrance of the hotel. At the same time hotel basically stands on the metro station Muzeum, which makes the travelling to any place extremely comfortable. The entrance, reception is really nice compared to any 4-star business hotel I´ve visited. At the reception we were selected as "VIP guests of the day" and got a room upgrade. So we got a room with a terrace overlooking St. Václav´s square, with breathtaking views of Prague. The reception´s international crew is very friendly and professional. You get excellent mattress, variety of pillows, high quality cosmetics (including dental hygiene and shaving package). We had a request for a AC turn off and the janitor came in 3 minutes. The breakfast offer very good quality premium foods (cheeses, meat, pastries). I´m usually very picky and critical, but here there was nothing to complain.
I would personally replace any cup in the room with glass instead of plastic, but that´s a very small thing.
It is very quiet, so I could have a good sleep at night. Plus, the location is great, it is just located in the centre of the city, so you have everything around you.
The breakfast was amazing! I'm sure sure I'd stay on Wenzel Square again, just because it is so touristy and busy, although all the amenities were there. In spite of that, the windows at the hotel were thick enough, so that you couldn't hear the sounds from the street. When our ordered taxi didn't arrive on schedule the day we left, your staff immediately got another driver. One comment: the air conditioning could have been colder.
Not what I expected
Check in was too long especially late at night when we arrive. The rooms are too small. And the mattresses need to be changed. Not even close to a five star hotel. Over priced needs a lot of improvements.
The Occidental Praha Wilson is in the heart of Prague, next to Wenceslas Square, and is the perfect place from which to get to know the city. Recently built, it is the perfect urban hotel for families, couples or business guests.
