The only thing we didn’t get was someone helping with the car at first. We were just told it was sitting outside ready with the key in it. And most of it was easy to figure out but the windshield wiper fluid and how to use it was different than anything we had seen. Otherwise everything about the car was great!!!
Did not get the car I reserved. Was given an older model with high kilometres. But still a good experience.
We have a flat tire issue. We pay for the platinum insurance.but We don’t received any road assistance even if i am a handicap man. At the end , they charge us a brand new tire ( We don’t receive a car with new tires …… ) we understand the actual conditions of the tires in that country not justify in any case to charge the clients their own tire renewal program….
The first car that was offered had a very bald tyre. We were given another car,which was fine. The staff at the office were lovely, and very helpful. The man who was to shuttle us from the airport was extremely rude. He would only take the driver, leaving us at the airport without any communication to our driver. On returning our car,the staff were very kind. Seems that your shuttle drivers leave A LOT to be desired though. This was our welcome to iceland.
Worse car rental company to deal with.
When picking up the vehicle (Mercedes Vito Touring van), it turned out that the International Driver's Permit was not necessary, although it was stated that it was needed online. The pressure to buy the "premium insurance" felt impossible to avoid taking as we felt that we would be liable for just about anything if we didn't take it. The staff member's English was not the greatest so it was also tough to understand the terms clearly. Being tired and apprehensive at the time, we bit the bullet and paid the additional $400+ for peace of mind. The van we were given was in OK shape - windshield wiper on driver's side was broken, back window wiper, was missing, driver's side door would not open or close in the cold weather and would need to be opened and closed from inside only. The space inside was nice and roomy and getting the Wi-Fi was definitely the way to go! The guys that were present at the time of return were super friendly (Polish and Romanian). The return process was extremely quick. The "walk-around check" of the vehicle upon return was done very quickly as well but made me question the need for that premium insurance. No signed-off paperwork was given upon the return either so here's hoping they stick to their word that all was good!
