Do not book on Icelandair through Jet Blue. It was a disaster. On top of icelandair’s already bad handling of check in ( no online check in means long lines. Economy seats worst ever: no legroom, tiny space. Terrible transfer process in Reykjavik - more long lines. One of our suitcases did not arrive at JFK. Hoping it turns up today.
american airlines overbooks flights and denies boarding to low revenue customers last minute. my arrival was delayed by 12 hours (without hotel accommodation) and my (involuntary) connecting flight was given to standby because I was confused in an unfamiliar airport in state I’ve never been in (CLT, North Carolina) thus I arrived three minutes after doors “closed” (though they were still open and boarding the last group). I am beyond infuriated and indignant. I will never fly AA again, even if they are simply operating the flight through codeshare.

Cons: "I arrived at Fort Lauderdale Airport 55 minutes before my scheduled flight and was told that the flight was closed because I was not there at least an hour before the flight. On my boarding pass it listed the boarding time and the time the gate would close BUT no where did it stipulate the last time to check in. I do think in this situation, they could have accommodated me and perhaps gate checked my luggage...but that was not offered. I had checked in online, had my boarding pass but clearly did not allot enough time to get to the airport. Traffic, post Hurricane Irma is still unpredictable, but think there could have been a bit of "wiggle room" in the rule. JetBlue did book me on the next flight (the next day), but I was saddened to miss a day of holiday meeting my son in Cartagena."

It was obvious that we could not fly in the storm, but we were not informed about the likely departure time. The reason I gave a poor ranking is that my suitcase/pack must have been left out in the downpour on the top of the pile so all of my clothes were extremely wet when I reached Boston. The bag itself was wet so it was not a case of something leaking in the bag. I have had to wash all of the clothes and iron them."

And the seats are incredibly narrow. When the person in front of me had their seat reclining I had even less room. Horrible. The only reason the flight from Zurich to Boston wasn't quite as bad was because I was able to get the seat by the exit aisle with extra legroom. The food was terrible. It didn't taste like real food. It looked and tasted totally artificial. Overall, a very poor experience."

When we checked in at Calgary- there were only 3 people intially. Then, 2 left and only 1 old man was left. He tried to move through the line, but could not clear us fast enough. About 50 people were stuck and not able to get boarding passes or luggage checked. We missed out flight. The scene was chaotic. Then, those of us who missed the flight were not able to get help as he was now trying to get the next people on the SLC flight through. We were so upset. Poorly run.

As half the passengers had boarded, someone announced that we had to have everyone boarded and seated in 5 minutes, or else the crew would time out, and we’d have to stay in WPalm. This set off a frenzy, with seated passengers yelling at the people boarding to hurry!! I was told by the pilot while exiting in LGA, that we made it by 30 seconds! It could’ve been handled so much better!"

Pros: "I never try Austrian airlines because this trip was my first trip with them and I'll say that it's one of the best trips I ever had the airport at Vienna it's very small and easy to go anywhere you want and it's super clean and the stuff at the airport are very helpful and they all speak English and I was able to get a hotel room with walking destination from the airport and it was a very good experience overall I'll definitely recommend to anyone and I'll definitely keep them on my top list"

Besides this things when I came to plane my sit and table tray was dirty so we had to put blanket over... for the first time I write bad feedback but I have to cause it was terrible.."

Cons: "First I lost my United Airlines flight because of security reasons. I checked in Guatemala but I was delayed at the Airport's security too long, it was beyond my control. Consequently I got to the boarding gate right when they were closing. Consequently I lost all my connections from then on. The United Airlines was very empathizing with me and my situation and they issued me other boarding passes at no cost. United Airlines suggested me to tell the Austrian Airlines about what happened and they were sure the Austrian Airlines would understand but they were wrong; no understanding on behalf of the Austrian Airlines."
Pros: "After flight to Vienna was cancelled, we were put on a flight to Frankfurt instead."
Cons: "Kayak sent me an email at 5:16am for an 8:15 am flight titled, "Austrian Airlines flight #704 from PRG on time". It was in fact cancelled. Unfortunately we missed the connection for the flight to Newark, which we were expressly told would be held for us... they shut the door 30 seconds before we arrived, with the plane still at the gate. Had to then go to the only counter in the terminal to see if we could get on standby. Finally got on a flight to JFK instead at 5:15pm."
Cons: "When our plane arrived late, many on board had missed connections. We received no help/guidance at gate, other than to be told to go up one floor. One floor up we had to go thru security to reach customer service. 100 people lined up for customer service from 3 Austrian airline reps. After 2 hours of standing, there were still 27 people ahead of me. The woman behind me gave me the local phone number for Austrian airlines and I was able to get on a flight to US leaving in 30 minutes. I managed to make it, and would not have had I waited another hour in line. Why no surge of staff to help? All 3 help numbers on my Lufthansa e-mail receipt could not help. Horrible experience."

Food was the most mediocre I have experienced on a transatlantic flight. Crew and staff were superb. Comfort was OK. For the first time ever, my luggage was misplaced between Lufthansa change of flight number and a replacement United flight.
Did not get to take it. Earlier flight was cancelled
An hour and a half late, which forced me to miss my connection to next flight.

In the meantime the flight is 40% empty and plenty of over head and yes is the same size of plane I came in the first place. However the agent was nice after I explain my situation she not charges me."

Had 3 different changes of hands then still did not get us to the right terminal, had to run to make the flight! Is that how you treat a 86 years old traveler?"

Overall very poor service, at the very least there should have been a guideline of what steps to take now in the cancelling of the flight E-mail and where to call."

Pros: "I was able to squeeze back into Comfort Economy and make my destination, after a messed up miles upgrade - have to be grateful for the small things, right?"
Cons: "I was actually upgraded to Business Class through a LH miles award, however, that upgrade was not honored, despite the fact that I had a confirmation email from them. I had to first get to Frankfurt to even negotiate this problem. At the departure point, LH was unable to furnish me a boarding pass to my NY flight. After racing though the huge airport at max speed to make this connection, I was treated rudely at the gate in Frankfurt by LH short tempered ground staff, to the point of even being accused of being the source of the problem and being late for boarding (when I was only accorded an hour connection through this booking, and raised this concern with LH prior). Lastly, the ground crew took away my connecting flight boarding pass and nearly forgot to give me back my luggage tag. The flight crew was Ok, but just did a bare minimum to keep up with the packed and overbooked flight. To top of the joy, I got food poisoning after landing in NYC - not all food they serve was in sealed containers, and it must have been enough to cause a day of misery that followed my arrival - I can assure you that the late time and taxing and docking delays in NYC took away any opportunity to have a normal dinner, and LH food was all I had all day... Not the usual LH experience, but I may give them a break for the next few trips."

It was actually Air Canada. If that is a partner of Lufthansa, very disappointed. Would not fly Air Canada again, but LOVE Lufthansa."

Cons: "Where to begin? During the booking process, there was no indication my travel partner and I would be flying Air Canada, and not Lufthansa. We were seated in the last row of the plane with painfully little legroom — even for two women of relatively small stature. The plane was not equipped with modern conveniences of operational wifi, music, or any other means of entertainment over the ten-hour flight. We were nearly an hour late to depart, but were unable to hear anything over the speakers regarding the cause for the delay, nor could we hear any of the flight attendants' safety instructions. What we could hear, however, was the surprisingly loud and nearly constant DINNNGGGG of the passengers' call buttons as they summoned the flight attendants. Because the flight was an overnighter, we attempted to sleep, but it was nearly impossible to do so due to the noise. I had earplugs in and could still hear the chimes, which were positioned right above our seats and made for an unpleasant experience and cranky travelers. The food was subpar as expected, but it would've been nice to be surprised with something resembling a fresh piece of fruit or vegetable. The flight crew was polite and one of the attendants took pity on us and offered a complimentary shot of whiskey, which partially alleviated the discomfort of the experience. That man is a saint and we surely hope he is better taken care of by this airline than we were. Overall a miserable experience. Will definitely rethink flying both Lufthansa and Air Canada in the future."
