Pros: great location, lovely staff, amazing breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were greeted by the owner who showed us our room . 'The Loft' was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were given information about where to eat which was also good. The breakfast was fantastic, very tasty! We had 4 bikes with us which were securely locked away overnight. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Cons: Everything was excellent.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Had an enjoyable one night stay here. Pleasant double room, charming, friendly host (thanks Paul) and a good breakfast to set us up for the following day. Plenty of parking in the yard, so no issues with finding somewhere for the car overnight. Just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Rhayader, with a good selection of pubs and restaurants nearby, plus the riverside walk and so on. Paul's recommendation of where to eat was spot on.
Cons: En-suite was a bit of a squeeze, but difficult to fit these things into an old building like this.

Pros: We had really great stay, room was comfortable and very quiet. Would stay here again.

7.5 Good
Pros: Have stayed at Ty Morgan on previous occasions. Overall facilities are good but you get the feeling that in some areas it’s standing still. Here and there it has an unkept look about especially out the back. Dinner on my first night was excellent.
Cons: TV In the bedroom wouldn’t work - the batteries in the remote TV handset were flat and the manual buttons on the side of the TV didn’t work properly either. The power shower was extremely noisy and the flow of water adequate. Ample choices for breakfast but a bit disappointed to have porridge for breakfast out of a ‘minute’ cardboard cup with boiling water added - more akin to what I would have in a youth hostel - more convenient for the management I guess. Still, overall Ty Morgan does what it says on the ‘tin’ - good accommodation and food, clean, in a convenient location and overall offers vfm.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect, large comfy room and friendly staff.
Cons: TV remote was dodgy and the clock tower chimes the hour every hour.
6.3 Good
Pros: Lovely rustic old building .
Cons: Noise of the toilet and shower . Staff wern't very helpfull .
7.9 Good
Pros: in center of town - easy walking access to shops and other eateries?drinking venues
Cons: Traffic noise as room overlooked street and weekdays traffic was from about 5 am!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room and plenty of space
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff were fantastic, helpful, polite, accommodating, sense of humour - could not ask for more. The bar/restaurant/café is clean, cosy and has an outside area if the weather permits. Food was very good in choice and quality. Accommodation was good, interesting old building so floor a little uneven in our room but that adds to the character. Located in the heart of Rhayader...
Cons: In the centre of town also means it is next to the road which can be busy, the walls have little sound proofing (e.g. people snoring, the guy upstairs vomiting at 2:30am or the macerator toilets in each room noisy when flushed) and the town clock rings on the hour throughout the night so the overall negative is noise. The shower was a little weak, but that was a minor point.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The room was clean, the bed was very big and the bathroom quite modern. It was only worth what I paid for the room as a single occupant.
Cons: I arrived at 5pm and there was a sign on the door asking me to go across the road to a pub for the key. Only restricted road parking available. As I travelled on my own I didnt feel very secure in my room. The property is on the corner of an extremley busy junction so quite noisey. The matress was very very hard!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very cosy, the layout was nice. It had everything we needed. We had a very comfortable stay.
Cons: The toilet wouldn’t flush properly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: breakfasts were excellent! Food at The Crown was first rate!
Cons: Town clock disturbed what could have been a comfortable peaceful nights sleep!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely little hotel/pub. Food was great, staff couldn't have been more helpful
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A very good value base for doing a couple of adventurous cycle rides. Food was excellent and, again, very good value. Staff very helpful.
Cons: Room decoration was a bit tired - but it was such good value.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The location was perfect. This is why I chose it. I needed to return a hired car to Cardiff. Did want to stray from route A470.
Cons: The reception was confusing, and the time my room was available changed to 3pm even thought the email from the hotel said 2pm. The room was somewhat dirty and especially smelly and noisy. There was a fan over the kitchen only two or three yards from my only ventilating window which made an incredible noise and burnt oil smell. The hope/hotel turned it off at 9:30 pm. I was basically unable to use the room until 9:30pm. Smoking tattooed bikers were the basic clientele of this place... I went across the road and hung out at the pub there. It was an awful experience.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good pub grub and friendly staff
Cons: Small room Bad location on A470. Huge lorries throughout night en route to Aberyswth
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room was comfortable in a rustic way cosy
Cons: For the price I payed the room I would of expected breakfast as well instead of paying extra for it
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was a nice size room Clean and bright
7.5 Good
Pros: Location ideal. Lovely walks.
Cons: The room was rather small for the price. Toilet seat very loose. Breakfast should be included at the price.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Friendly pub with good food
Cons: Facilities, loo roll holder fell from wall, screw marks where towel rail must if done same thing, electric tape on shower to keep shower head raised. Very noisy from other local pubs with live music.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Dog-friendly accommodation and function room. Good food
Cons: Wifi didn't work in the bedroom

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room we had was very luxurious for the price and was also very clean and well furnished. The breakfast was really good - the bacon was of a very high quality. We will definitely be returning to Ty Morgan in the near future.
Cons: We had no complaints at all and only wished we could have stayed there longer.
7.0 Good
Pros: Excellent location and very comfortable accomodation...will use again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: the size of the room was impressive for a small place and the facilities were very good, very hospitable host, fantastic breakfast nice atosphere in the evenings.
Cons: having to go home again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome, comfortable clean room, good meals and excellent breakfast. Brillient location for watching the red kites and visiting the Elan Valley.
Cons: Out of your control, but the hourly chimming of the town clock during the night was a bit annoying!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic!
Cons: Should be a later check out!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: comfortable room and friendly staff
Cons: no
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, no hassle
Cons:
7.6 Good
Pros: Excellent room facilities, especially the bed is really comfort.
Cons: There is no table in the room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: the space/excelant decor/staff friendliness. Their bistro next door was excallant with the food being first class. would not hesitate to re-book.
Cons:
3.6 Mediocre
Pros: The location is great for exploring the Elan Valley. I would recommend hiring a mountain bike and travelling along the path, spectacular views. Not much happening in the town itself.
Cons: We weren't sure whether our room was ready on arrival. The room was contemporary, but lacking in atmosphere. There was a low beam in our room and we had to walk around with a stoop. Also there was nowhere to hang clothing and not many mirrors. If you wanted to dry your hair, there was nowhere to do this. No dressing table. At breakfast there wasn't much choice. No teaspoons for yogurts, no sauces. Staff disappeared for a long time, leaving guests wondering how long they would have to sit. Toast arrived, but there was no butter. Little touches would have helped.
