Fantastic location in downtown SF. Rooms were really clean, modern, and new. The windows were basically non-functional in my particular room, but YMMV. For the purposes of having a nice place to sleep each night, this was perfect.

Pros:The location was great for my work trip in San Francisco. The price was great as well! It looks like it's getting an upgrade next year, that I think will be great! The room was clean and it was all I needed for my trip.
Cons:My room didn't have shampoo, soap or even a drinking cup for water, and the building didn't have any sort of drinks machine. I think with a little more attention to details like that, this hotel could be really great.

Pros:Good location
Cons:Although we booked a room with a queen-size bed, we were given a room with a double bed. The bed was too small and the room too stuffy/hot, so we asked to change rooms. They were booked and refused to switch rooms, so we ended up getting a last-minute hotel room nearby. They gave us the appropriate room the next day - the bed was better, but the window along Fulton St. couldn't close, so it was noisy. There is one elevator, and it is very slow.

Pros:It was basically in union square. The hotel was cleanly and the front desk staff where friendly. Breakfast was minimal but appreciated.
Cons:It was excruciatingly small. I don't mind a smaller room but I tripped over the bed, chair, and cords many times! The cleaning staff knocked on our door at 9:00 am each morning! Come on, we wanted to sleep in on our vacation!

Pros:I booked three nights at hotel Stratford for a conference at the Hilton in Union Square. When I arrived, they informed me that there had been a bookkeeping mistake and they had overbooked for the second night. However, they had already reserved a nice room at the Adante hotel nearby and did not charge us for the second night. When I returned for the third night they upgraded me to a significantly nicer room which was much appreciated. Very friendly staff and an amazing location--I'll definitely be returning.
Cons:The elevator is a bit slow, but it's not really a problem--it encouraged me to get some exercise by using the stairs a few times :) The breakfast isn't much, but it did the job and the coffee was hot and fresh.

Pros:Low cost for the area. Conveniently location. Overall my room was reasonably quite despite the proximity to Union Square.
Cons:Continental breakfast was pretty poor. Coffee was pretty watered down. I decided not to eat there during my 4-day stay.

Pros:The location was good just off Union Square and the staff were really pleasant & helpful.
Cons:As other guests say very noisy from the trams & also some construction work going on nearby which started very early morning. We had to have windows open as the room was small & stuffy. The rooms are quite shabby & need upgrading. Our room was very small & only had one small cupboard to hang things & no drawers apart from one very small shallow one. As we stayed for 5 nights this was really inconvenient as we lived out of our suitcases which we kept tripping over. The lift was very slow which was inconvenient as we were on the 5th floor
