Pros: Everything about The Singular is pure 5 star. This is one super stylish, extremely friendly and very comfortable hotel with huge beds and quality linens in a great location in the city. We arrived while a demo was going on, but it was ok, we checked in and in no time we were sitting on the stunning roof top terrace/bar sipping a pisco sour, perfect. Our stay here was part of a 5 week trip in Chile and Argentina, while in Patagonia on the first leg of our trip we were advised to change our plans and cancel our reservation here because of the protests. I am so glad we didn’t, yes there are protests going on but not once did I feel unsafe, even the protesters are really friendly, like everyone else in Santiago....puts London to shame! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, thank you to everyone there for making our stay so special❤️

Pros: Great location, step away from all the quirky cafes, bars and restaurants. Also their service was amazing in every second you’re in. Everyone remembers you, greets you and provides you services you would never forget. Also their restaurant has amazing food and wine too. And rooftop bar was very chilled with good drinks and snacks

Pros: We were there at the time of a State of Emergency. The room is spacious and comfortable and really clean. The bathroom design is modern and pampering.
Cons: Some minuses: The restaurant was not really good as well as the breakfast which was a bit disappointing. There wasn't enough vegetables for example. This is also true that the hotel did not respond to my mails I sent regarding my future stay.
Still I really enjoyed my stay. Is it a 5 star hotel, maybe not but it is certainly a boutique hotel that I can recommend.
6.7 Good
Pros: Central location, new facilities
Cons: Staff service was fairly poor throughout the stay
6.7 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed Room nicely appointed Good location
Cons: Staff need complete retraining. Standing in breakfast restaurant talking and on their phones - paid no attention to guests entire breakfast first morning. No guest interaction at all! Food cold, cold sausages, cold eggs - no idea how to do cooked breakfast- other days no hot breakfast on buffet. Last morning card to room cancelled and had to use stairs. Car booked though hotel never turned up at the airport and I never got an apology the whole time I was there. Then they booked a car to the airport I didn’t order, so I had to cancel my order and paid a cancellatipn fee. No room concierge, struggled with own bags. Front desk phone often not answered, room service takes ages and food very average. Room has very few amenities - no tea bags, no face cloth, one day of free water then pay, no mini bar, no snacks, very poor overall. You will get a good sleep though - beds lovely and comfortable and nice linens. Won’t stay here next time though. Need to do better!

Pros: Unfortunately we were there during the protests nearby, a tense & difficult time. Staff were extremely attentive & very conscious of our safety.
Cons: It is normally apparently a very lively fun area but the circumstances meant the protesters were all around us so it wasn't safe to go far and enjoy it.

Pros: The hotel is beautiful, breakfast delicious and the staff very helpful and friendly. We stayed there when the protests in Santiago started to become more severe and the staff was extremely helpful during this time.

Pros: The room was spacious and clean. The staff were all super helpful and nice and all spoke English. They sent up a bottle of sparkling wine to our room for our honeymoon which was really appreciated. The buffet breakfast was great and the fact you could also order eggs or an omelette was awesome!
Cons: The lighting was poor in the room, there was no ceiling light which was a bit strange. The open concept bathroom set-up was also not our favourite, and there was so little counter space to get ready. The value for money wasn't there for us. A 4 star hotel charging $269 USD/$350 CAD for one weeknight, I was expecting a lot more than what we felt we got.
6.8 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: Reception staff needs to be friendlier. It felt cold checking in. Especially the men. There was one lady with an accent that was very nice when I was checking out.

The wifi was strong throughout the hotel, the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The rooftop bar was very nice but wasn't open on the weekend which was a disappointment. Really good quality for the price.
Cons: The pool is in the basement which was a mistake on our end, some old/incorrect pictures showed it as a rooftop pool which made spending a day at the pool impossible. Water in the room is outrageously expensive, $10/bottle! The shower/tub combo was a bit uncomfortable - I'm very average size and it was too narrow to stand shoulder width. The room was starting to show some signs of age but still a very good value.

Pros: Great service and location . The stay was somewhat disturbed by the demonstrations going on in Santiago but the hotel managed the problem very efficiently and made you feel safe. Very good breakfast included in the price. Very quiet room considering the outside situation .
Cons: The ONLY thing that should be improved : I was totally unable to find an English speaking TV channel. The lunch and dinner menus were somewhat limited in choices due to the manifestations that made the supplies of fresh goods problematic.

Cons: Breakfast was just OK, but it has ways to be improved. Perhaps we were given a reduced offer as the hotel had very low occupancy due to the protests, but it was not of the quality and choice I would expect for a 5* property.

Pros: The location and the hotel aged decorations, especially one of the concierge person's thoughtful information and arrange the transformations.

Pros: Good room. Clean. Super breakfast with real coffee, yoghurt without all those sweet flavours, proper granola bar ect ect and nice staff.
Cons: We were flying in and out of santiago and arrived only at 10pm in the evening we had chosen this hotel as it seemed to have a nice bar area, so we could still have a drink and a small snack. Eventhough the information said restaurant still 11pm and bar till 11.30pm all was closed, maybe because it was a public holiday? Regardless we were a little disappointed. Though if open, I guess you'll enjoy the bar as it looked nice :)

Pros: Our room was excellent, air conditioning worked well. Also loved the shower. Staff was very accommodating to take my car to the parking lot and then bring it back to the front door. The restaurant on second floor was very convenient. We were also a block away from government offices and steps away from notaries. And right in the corner of Huerfanos (the walking street). Breakfast had an excellent selection of food.

Pros: Nice Breakfast! Great location.
Cons: In my particular room, the bed was quite old and saggy. That was not the case with the beds in my friend’s room. The shower drain was also clogged... again, not the case in the other room.

Cons: The restaurant was a bit hot, not sure if the air conditioning was working. Also one time a bit slow to get my bill, kept seeing our waiter serving and bringing the bill to other tables, but ours nothing, had to remind him.

Pros: Great value, excellent location, good breakfast.
Cons: Some street noise late at night, only one towel for the two of us. Requested a second, but didn't arrive before we went to bed.

Pros: The price is alright. The bed are comfortable and huge, they also have a coffee machine in the rooms and the breakfast is alright with a good variety
Cons: The stuff I met at the check out was horrible. I was supposed to take a taxi to the airport so I ordered it early to be sure. It all was such a mess and I almost missed my flight. But luckily I didn’t.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Most comfortable bed/pillows/room of all places stayed in during our 3 week trip
Cons: Reception staff lovely but disorganised...(middle of night checkin and room not available, issue resolved. On check out they wanted to charge me again for room) Nespresso machine in room was great but only got one coffee pod on arrival, not daily - didn't see point of machine then

Pros: Solo traveler, stayed 4 nights in the king room opening onto the courtyard garden. Central location excellent: close to the metro and within walking distance of key sights. Pros: Interesting old building in a small area of older buildings generally. Not many places like this in Santiago. Hostel on ground floor with the owner living on the floor above. He was a cheerful, easygoing person with a little English and available at any time if needed. Hostal is close to the centre of the city and everything in terms of places to visit but off the main road so relatively quiet at night.

Cons: The air conditioning machine in my room was very noisy. Breakfast menu a bit limited, and the fruit juices were almost like liquid sugar! Some freshly squeezed juice or something not that sugary would be better.

Cons: This is NOT 4 star by any standard. Embarrassing to actually try and pull 4 stars off.
6.0 Good
Pros: Centrally located. Clean. Comfortable bed. Spacious enough room and bathroom.
Cons: Breakfast was the worst of the ones I’ve had in Chile - same style (eggs, pastries, cereal, fruit, etc) but quality was not great. Yogurt was warm, eggs very runny, fruit didn’t seem fresh. All the furniture moved around (like the bed was on wheels and moved when you shifted in bed).

Cons: Half of our stay there was no electricity in the rooms (a problem in the whole complex). That meant no internet plus a loooong waiting time for the lift if you don’t want to walk to the 19th floor. The room would benefit from a little renovation.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent.
Cons: Needs an airconditioner as having the window open lets in lots of noise. Also needs to be renovated (painted at least) to freshen it up. Needs some more utensils and pots and pans for kitchen use.

The pool was fabulous and an absolute asset during the hot afternoons, shame it closes so early and before we were able to watch the sunset from the rooftop.
Cons: The shower curtain didn't totally protect the floor unless it was stuck to the wall which caused minor flooding though this was not a big issue at all. The windows open by swinging out at the bottom and are an enormous fall hazard for anyone and especially young children! One window is right next to a bed and the other a lounge which kids could climb on and fall. The railing on the top floor pool area is also not very tall so once again not suitable for children without supervision.

Pros: It is nice to have your own appartment in the city center for this price. Also the possibility to swim in the pool on the roof terrace.
Cons: The breakfast was really early and not enough for a breakfast. It was okay, but way too little.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Great TV.
Cons: No wifi and toilet in the hall. Room available from 3pm. Cleaning done superficially, it remains platic bottles and dust from months ago under the bed. We had to ask twice our breakfast after the normal time (they serve breakfast at the room) because they thought we didn't want breakfast??? Really poor service... Checkout impossible even if the hotel isn't full (and we have been told it was full). A bad experience.

Pros: Good facilities. Good location. Quiet.
Cons: Staff could not speak English making it very difficult. Lift out of order. No reception desk.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location
Cons: Accommodation was very good value for money. In retrospect we would have been happier paying a bit more for a higher grade on accommodation
6.7 Good
Pros: The price was right & the location was near everything..
Cons: I didn’t like that they came around with breakfast at 7:50 am.. I’m sure they know that MOST people are still sleeping at that time of morning.. Why not bring breakfast at 8:45??????

Pros: I chose this hotel in this area as it was near the Central Market. I thought it was a general market but it is a fish market and quite fascinating. The hotel is near general markets as well and within easy walking distance of the central square and the historic district of Santiago. I was very happy with this location. Santiago is a very nice city

Pros:
Cons: Small room space. Inconvenient elevator. Bad sound insulation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, separate room for third bed, comfortable bed, good breakfast, hardworking staff
Cons: Have to learn how to work the elevator- don’t press your floor number twice as it resets the direction and send you down again before you go up! Can spend a long time getting to your floor!
6.3 Good
Pros: The room was small but fine. Handy if you wanted to get around the old part of town. The Wi-Fi was good.
Cons: There were no coffee or tea in the room, just a kettle, and 1 plate with 1 set of cutlery. You were best allowing 15 minutes to go either up or down in the elevators, especially in the morning or afternoon, only 3 small 8-9 person lifts. The restaurant was average, with one of them out of order on the Sunday, when lots of people were leaving or arriving.
8.8 Excellent

Cons: They were works going on in the hostel, which made a lot of noise and it was dirty ...
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location was fine for walking to the main tourist areas Dormitory for four was good size Breakfast was standard for a hostel Staff were relatively helpful
Cons: We stayed two nights, when we arrived there was no soap in the women’s bathroom and there was still none when we left The beds were uncomfortable, one had a massive dent in the mattress The rooms were very cold, might be better in summer
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff members were really friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy enough.
Cons: The women's bathroom was under construction/renovation, so the hallway was kind of a mess, and I had to use a tiny shower and bathroom down a floor. Not a huge deal, but kind of annoying.
