8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms. Good bedding. On site covered parking so did not have to deal with typical Carmel parking issues. However number of parking spots seemed less than number of rooms.
Cons: Room #1 is huge, but located right on Mission Street so is quite noisy until around 11pm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was wonderful. The staff very helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make us welcome. The happy hour and included breakfast delivered to our room was outstanding. Loved staying there and will go there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved room; amazing bed - so comfortable! The breakfast was delicious. The room and bathroom were spotless. We also liked that upon check-in, we were escorted to our room and shown how the tv and fireplace worked. :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable and room was spacious. The location of the property was fantastic as well - close to the plaza in Carmel and yet on a quiet street
Cons: NA
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the wine and cheese appetizers and the location of the hotel and its proximity to restaurants and shops.
Cons: The front desk receptionist engage in an extended conversation with other guests while I waited to be checked in to the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was beautiful and clean. The bed and pillows were just how I like them. Breakfast was delicious and delivered on time. Loved the jetted tub. We will definitely return to the Carriage House Inn on any return trips to Carmel.
Cons: Nothing everything was great.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfortable and we loved the fireplace!
Cons: Breakfast options were the same every morning, a little variety would have been nice.

Pros: The size of the room was great and it was hugely comfortable, especially the bed. We slept well. Staff were welcoming and friendly.
Cons: Car parking spaces were somewhat tight if you had to park between the pillars
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The personal service and home feel given by the staff.

4.3 Okay
Cons: Manager was extremely rude
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is the best part.
Cons: I asked for an early check in and did not get it, I asked for top floor and did not get it either. the check in girl took our number and said she would call us when our room was ready. she just went home and left us hanging. we did finely get a room on the third floor. it didn't start well, but ended ok.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect. The views were amazing! And the whole experience was great!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice
Cons: No self parking really
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: One of the highlights is the food in the restaurant, which is AMAZING. We had a fantastic dinner one night and two excellent breakfasts. I really like the fact that their breakfast is all a la carte, rather than a tacky, overpriced buffet, like many hotels do. Also, their crab cakes are to die for. One small thing, which I really appreciated, was the fact that the the gym has yoga mats, which is not very common outside of CA. Yoga is a form of fitness too!
Cons: The only small thing is the sort of confusing layout if you stay, as we did, in the building across the street from reception. If you take the elevated walkway back across to the main hotel, it's almost impossible to find the elevator. I know that we, and at least one other couple I met, preferred just walking across the street, so we could see our surroundings. Fortunately, the weather is generally nice in CA, so it's not a big deal to avoid the walkway.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: View and location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable and there was a ceiling fan! For all you fan lovers you know this is rare! Excellent customer service and location! I would stay there again
Cons: Nothing
4.5 Okay
Pros: Nothing. There was no breakfast. We couldn't even get coffee unless we went to the restaurant.
Cons: We had to walk down a flight of stairs and go around the corner to get to our elevator. We were put in the next to the last room even though I made reservations months in advance. The sea lions kept us awake all night, I booked two rooms and when we checked in, they would not let us pay separately. The hair dryer was useless. We wanted to use the rooftop hot tubs but were not allowed to because we did not use the spa (we did not have time to use the spa, we were just passing through). I thought we were going to have a balcony, but did not. When we checked out, they did not even asked how our stay was. The bell staff and the staff in Schooners were very good, but the staff on the front desk was not.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location - right in the bay!
Cons: We were lead to believe from the photos that there was a fantastic hot tub and chill out area overlooking the bay. Don’t be fooled - this is the spa and is not included with the room fee. There is free access to a sad little internal courtyard with a few sun loungers and a hot tub but it was pretty depressing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff is we very nice.
Cons: NA
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The locations was brilliant by the bay!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful facilities and setting. Very convenient for all our activities.
6.0 Good
Pros: Great location. Spacious bathroom with tub and shower. Great coffee maker in the room.
Cons: The room was too hot. The AC was programmed to shutoff at night. I set the thermostat to 65, but temps never dipped below 72. I could only even windows about 3 inches. Did not sleep well. Parking was far away and expensive.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect.
Cons: The breakfast was not an open buffet..
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location on Cannery Row
Cons: The increase in price from one day to the next
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The outdoor waitresses could use a bit more training in that they forgot napkins and to clean off the table we were sitting at. The young woman the first night appeared to really want to go home; however, we tipped very well,I hope she thought it was worth it. I would normally not have dinner at the hotel I am staying at because my husband and I prefer to explore, but our meals were very tasty (I had a perfectly done medium rare filet mignon). Regardless, given that this hotel is in the middle of tourist central in Monterey, the staff were always welcoming, cheerful, efficient and professional. I would definitely recommend and return to this hotel. The hotel’s breakfast staff were also very good, welcoming and I would say that the food at this hotel is very good. Keep up the good work!
7.0 Good
Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: Rooms are comfortable but average. Price is to high!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great rooms. I got a room with a limited street view so it wasn't ideal. The breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly all across our stay. The location is ideal as it is on the pier and on Montereys main street. Good restaurants within walking distance.
Cons: We were charged for consumption that we did not make, and also when we made the reservation through booking.com it said that the breakfast was included (for 4 of us). When we checked in we only got a voucher for USD50. We had to speak to the managet and they came through with a correction. We also have the issue fo having to dispute a charge that we did not do.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The beds were incredibly comfortable. Even though our room faced Cannery Row it was still quiet. We were given an ADA room with double beds so it was very spacious.
Cons: The only in room fridge was filled with items for purchase-it would have been great to have some room to store water, etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Sea side and in the middle of Monterey.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staying here is always nice. The staff is pleasant.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfortable! Great location.
Cons: Our room was facing a wall.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Staff, The Hotel, The Room, The Location, The Cleanness, The Food, The Decor. LOVED the shampoo! Made my hair super soft and smelled amazing!!
Cons: Our beds were to small. Would of preferred Queens, instead of Full. I didn't like how the final price was $150 more than what's shown on booking page. Way to pricey in my opinion.

Pros: Great, it had various options. Food was fresh and lounge was comfortable.
Cons: Another unit was smoking outside on patio, the wind blew all the smoke into our patio.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dog friendly. Relaxed vibe. Good value breakfast. Warm clean pool. Friendly helpful staff.
Cons: No
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendy...everyone!
Cons: This is minor, but it would have been extra nice to have a hot tub. When I go away, that is something I always look forward to. Thanks.
7.5 Good
Cons: Porch light shines all night & shined on bed - very annoying!
5.5 Okay
Cons: Tired accomodations. Bar/Covey should lad be open all nights when guests are there. Room drawers were not clean. Too much $ for what u get
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Room fantastic. Lots of space. Beautiful vaulted ceiling. Pool area good. Lodge very cosy and welcoming. Location excellent.
Cons: The restaurant Edgar’s was disappointing. The food (steak night) was cold and not well presented. Staff seemed disinterested and the place itself was rather dated.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious and comfortable with an attractive balcony area looking out over immaculately kept grounds and golf course. Staff were welcoming and helpful and breakfast was simple but adequate. A little out of town but a good base for exploring Carmel.
Cons: Unfortunately restaurant wasn't open for dinner as we'd hoped after a long day on the road but we had choice of nearby golf club (transport was offered) or heading into Carmel where there was plenty more to choose from and we had a great meal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the staff, the natural beauty of the setting and the staff was amazing. We had a wonderful dinner at Edgar's where staff was awesome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and the facilities were well maintained. Their's also a charging station for electric vehicles. The golfing greens are well kept. A little bit fast but in good shape.
Cons: No USB charging in the room, not a deal kill but would have been a bonus.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything —- great space, well maintained.
Cons: Since we visited last yeR changes to dining. We loved the Waypoint deck for drinks and snacks in the evenings...and also being able to take out a picnic hamper. Having to eat at Edgar’s which is relatively expensive where the quality of food is not great or go out wasn’t awesome for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed specifically to golf, and had been there before.
Cons: Our room could of had a view, would have liked to have been on the golf course.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was perfect, right on the 14th hole
Cons: N/a

Pros: There are so many wonderful activities, everyone was beyond friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. Plus you can't beat the gorgeous scenery!
Cons: Nothing!
9.5 Excellent
Cons: One of the days our room was never made up. We then asked about turn down service and requested it at 7:30 while we would be gone for dinner. When we came back at 9:00, it still had not been done. At 9:30, a woman knocked on the door and asked if we wanted turn down service. This was the only problem we encountered.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are Beautiful! They have a separate living area with a large TV, couch, desk and large comfy chairs. Wish we had stayed more than one night to enjoy all the other amenities this hotel has to offer.
Cons: Not a thing!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Love the hot tub and the pool. We ate dinner at the bar and Sean was awesome. I sampled several different Islay Scotches and Sean was knowledgeable, helpful and all around awesome with pouring the goodness! thanks Sean!
6.8 Good
Cons: Over priced, poor breakfast buffet, mediocre food
6.3 Good
Cons: Service was terrible for a luxury spot. We heard ‘no’ so many times. Orders were forgotten or messed up. Hostess at restaurant was just rude.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Views Room Facilities
Cons: Check in took too long
7.5 Good
Pros: This was an exceptional property. Very relaxing but not far away from anything you might want to do. The staff was very helpful and anything that we asked for during our stay was accommodated. Beautiful grounds - lots of deer and wild turkey.
Cons: The ONLY criticism was that the Neapresso coffee maker in the suite was not capable of making an actual cup of coffee. Would prefer a Kuerig or something else.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: The single sink.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a great place for family! Excellent service and beautiful place!
Cons: Everything! Hikes around property, pool, food..
7.5 Good
Cons: The lighting in the rooms ! During the day the room was dark and the only place to read was in bed with the only reading light ! I understand the energy savings , they may have gone too far ?

6.8 Good
Cons: No high chair in the breakfast room and bad attitude from Christine in the front desk when I told her. If you don’t want kids under 3 years old just let people know and I book a different hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast served by genuinely lovely staff. Fresh fruit and fruit juice, pastries, bagels and toast, cereal, yoghurts and the most delicious warm spinach quiche. The rooms were clean and well appointed and it was obvious that they'd gone to lots of trouble in the detail and we felt welcome and valued. The beds were really comfortable.
Cons: The carpets, inside and outside, could be replaced - they were clean but obviously worn. The lighting was a bit complicated - one light stayed on all night even though we tried every switch! It was a bit noisy from upstairs but nothing that stops us having a good night's sleep.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable, spacious room, cozy bed and peaceful grounds. Nice fresh breakfast, w/quiche offered on weekends. Great staff, helpful, knowledgeable, responsive.
Cons: A nit - room had a small fountain (great) but when you turn on the fountain a light comes on in the room, so can’t sleep w/fountain on providing a peaceful background environment
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely far-east Asian feel and decor to the rooms. Choc-dipped strawberries and an orchid upon checking-in were a v nice touch. Also lovely fire pit and gardens. Good location for amenities.
Cons: Room was a bit stuffy. While breakfast was a good spread, the room was quite small and smoerines getting a table was tricky.

Pros: Cleaning and warm staff.Room was very cozy and well equipped with good amenities.
Cons: Breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gentle staff and beautiful design
Cons: Breakfast good be much better given price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed and bedding was so wonderful. We slept so well! We enjoyed coming in to an elegant room, a gorgeous bathroom, and a nice welcome note from the manager. The hotel was walking distance from the shops and in a pretty location.
Cons: The hotel has no control over this, but the crows and seagulls were SO SO LOUD at every hour of the day, even during night time. But that is just Carmel-By-The-Sea!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: No plastic stuff anywhere. No plastic spoons to stir your coffee. No plastic cups to drink your water from. No plastic bags or containers for soaps.... Only plastic was a little Saran Wrap over our plate of chocolate dipped strawberries. I could deal with that ok.
Cons: In room coffee maker was slow and not so tasty but coffee at the included breakfast was great.
7.4 Good
Cons: While we thought we rec'd a decent deal at $360 for a single night for a deluxe king room, a day before our trip i noticed a similar king room for $100 less. Figuring i would just get a better room with a view, i was disappointed to learn that the room had no view and just a gas fireplace. I mentioned the discrepancy in the rates, but they only suggested that we should have booked directly instead and called in first to verify the rates and the available rooms.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: N/a
Cons: More sundries in bathroom. Upgrade breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was within walking distance from other shops and restaurants. The hotel feels like a luxury hotel. Professional staff. I would stay here again.
Cons: I wish there was a swimming pool or jacuzzi!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful rooms! The bed and sheets were amazing and the room was immaculate. The soaps and shampoos were very high quality. This hotel is in a very peaceful street. I slept like a baby. The fireplace was lovely too. At night, the courtyard is lit up with little torches so it's quite pretty. Theresa, the manager, was incredibly kind and helpful.
Cons: The lobby was a little spartan, so I was afraid the rooms would be too. They were NOT.

Cons: I wouldnt want to quibble. On the corner of a busy traffic route, so not exactly "quiet". You are also at the mercy of other guests noise. No prob to us, but it is a pet friendly hotel, so lots of dogs - not everone's fancy. No view of the ocean

Pros: The locatiin was good
Cons: The room was so cold. I slept wearing my fleece. In the morning, it was annoying that so much noise from the street was got into my ears!
5.8 Okay
Cons: We checked into the hotel later in the evening and the staff did not tell us there’s was no hot water working in the entire hotel. The next morning when we were checking out and I politely told them the hot water in our room was not working, and she just said, “oh there isn’t hot water in our hotel right now.” No apology, no discount- nothing!! $300 a night, you get a cold shower. Never will return again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Breakfast & Wine & Cheese..
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Very old. And musty. Very expensive
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Terrific location with a short walk to the stores and restaurants of Carmel, or a short drive to Pebble Beach. Private, quiet spot with clean, crisp and romantic rooms (some with fireplaces). Very friendly and helpful staff - swing by the lobby for wine and cheese in the evening. My only issue was the thin walls - we could hear the "activities" in the next room. Otherwise a great stay, comfortable, classic, and well located.

Pros: Beautiful location and quirky rooms, breakfast in the room was great.

Pros: Like home away from home but in a beautiful beach village
Cons: The website didn’t do justice to how nice the property is, we would have booked longer.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was very cute! I enjoyed myself there.
Cons: I could hear everything from the people above us... and I wish the lights and fireplace outdoor would stay on til at least 9:30! I would like the coffee to be available at 6:30.... 7:45 is late for me... but it was awesome coffee!!!!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was superb! Breakfast delightful. The room was cozy and the amenities were exceptional. Wine in the afternoon, breakfast in the room, a fireplace and firepit out doors.
Cons: The room was small and the location did not give you a sense of Carmel. On a map the location looks much closer to the beach. In reality, it is a hike. In our 8 days on the west coast of CA, this was the most expensive venue in which we stayed but it did not offer us the most value for our dollar.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location en very cosy
Cons: The bed was not extremely comfortable. The sheets were tucked in a hasty way, so lots of "sheet-wrinkles" at your feet

9.4 Excellent
Pros: My wife and I stayed at the Martine Inn during Monterey Car Week and, in spite of the elevated activity level throughout the Monterey area, Don, his Grandson and the staff took great care of us. The Inn was our welcome ocean front retreat when we needed a break. Breakfasts were very good and the afternoon "tea" was extensive and tasty. All in all, a delightful stay.
Cons: Being car week, the room rates were not a bargain but also not totally unreasonable as all area accommodations go up pretty sharply during that time. Also, the rooms are not air conditioned, which is not prominently mentioned. Though the days were pretty warm (August) the ocean front location assured that things cooled down reasonably during the evenings. Sleeping was not at all uncomfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to ocean, beaches and downtown. Very quiet. Quaint rooms. Wonderful breakfast and nice wine reception every evening. The staff was very kind and attentive. They seemto love working there and explaining the history of the property.
Cons: The wine reception was nice but came at an hour that conflicted at times with dinner plans (5:30-7). Not a huge problem.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Inn was charming and ‘yesteryear’ and had classic period furniture; the breakfasts were good and the sitting rooms were also charming. The staff were friendly and helpful. The ocean location of the Inn was perfect! I think the hotel exterior and garden could be painted and spruced up somewhat; the rooms while clean and comfortable, had a musty smell. Overall, we had a pleasant and satisfying stay! Thank you Martine Inn.
Cons: See above!

Pros: Delicious breakfast & wonderful wine & cheese offering each evening! Staff was very helpful. We we traveling with our small dog, so we stayed in a cottage; very quiet, comfortable accommodation for all of us.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: beautiful B/B with daily included breakfast, great central location to downtown Monterey, 5 min walk to lover's point beach and oceanfront walk. really accommodating staff.
Cons: understandably old building with creaky floors. this was not bothersome but for those that value very quiet places, may not be ideal for you.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is great! Short walk to Lovers Point where we saw a sea otter. The place is charming and takes you back in time. The afternoon happy hour was enjoyed. The gardens are pretty. We had our bikes annd they graciously stored them for us for safe keeping. It was Lantern Feast and we loved the lanterns.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location to the ocean and to the town of Pacific Grove was optimal.
Cons: Parking was an issue. Returned from an event late at night and had to park some distance from some the Inn.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delicious, filling breakfast; wonderful staff, super clean and delightful rooms, ample street and on site parking - stress free stay! Great!
Cons: I wish there was more soundproofing in the walls - mainly between bathrooms, because when someone is having bathroom activities at the same time as you - you can hear every single squeak and toot. Which was entertaining and all, but unnecessary.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice traditional hotel, good size room, good location for the seaside.
Cons: Close to a busy road, so a bit noisy.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good, simple but freshly made to order. Staff was friendly.
Cons: We stayed in a cottage, which felt like more of a cabin. Structure and furnishings were worn, missing the good effect of looking 'Victorian', just looked run down. Didn't add to feeling of 'comfort' with my family.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place and very nice location!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights at this location. The staff were so helpful, the breakfast personalised with plenty of choice. Probably some of the best coffee we have had in the states. It was a calm and warm place to stay. There was also plenty of parking if not on site, then in the surrounding streets. It was a quiet location also. The glass of wine at happy hour was a nice surprise.
Cons: Nothing, it was all excellent and everyone there had the same opinion. They would book you a restaurant or guide you to a venue. Every staff member had an excellent attitude. They are a credit as a team.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Parking was tricky.

Pros: Location great. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: No.

Pros: Great location near downtown Monterey. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice views. Spacious clean room. Parking onsite.

Pros: Great location. Ocean-front rooms are great.
Cons: Paying $23/day for parking. Parking used to be free at this property. The rooms are expensive so paying for parking on top is annoying.

Pros: The room was very nice and clean. The location was perfect, walking distance to a beautiful beach and the costal trail. The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful making our stay very enjoyable.
Cons: No, everything met my expectations. It would be nice to have scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausage for breakfast but this is just a minor thing. Overall the variety of items for breakfast was very good and the dining room was very nice and very clean.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Best Western took out a preauthorisation for the full amount against my credit card prior to the visit. On the first day of my visit, they billed the full amount to my card. One month later and I am still waiting for the preauthorisation amount to be released from my credit card

Cons: Seating at breakfast was tight. Breakfast itself was ok in terms of 'help youself' but basically all prepackaged food.
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was adequate but nothing special.
Cons: The room layout was strange. A suite with two rooms however to access the bathroom and kitchenette, you had to pass through one room into the other. A hot tub at the facility would have been nice.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was exceptional. Always cheerful, always helpful. Location one block off Ocean Ave is great yet quiet.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant servers were terrific: friendly and good senses of humor. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. The dining room and sleeping rooms were nicely appointed. The restaurant’s dinner was outstanding and worthy of more than just 1 Michelin star.
Cons: The senior restaurant guy was socially awkward and pretentious. The bedroom was on the small side and a bit cluttered. And to have to pay extra at breakfast for oatmeal and cappuccino at these prices, when “breakfast is included” seems a bit ‘nickel and dime’-y to me... Add $10 to the room rate and let me order what I want; I’ll feel better about my stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, location and cleanliness.
Cons: Breakfast that was included was not healthy! All simple carbs (bread and croissants or muffins), gluten and sugar. The eggs were the only thing that was worth eating and what was offered at cost was very expensive. We chose to eat our breakfast elsewhere every morning and spoke to others staying at the hotel who were doing the same.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location. Raven (?) who checked me in was terrific, and a wealth of information re: dinner, etc. With my early morning departure, I appreciated the extra effort to prepare a breakfast "to go" for me.
Cons: I was in Room #24. Didn't love all of the steps to get there, but other than that, my room was small, but delightful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The beds were so comfotable;
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great place but expensive for what it is.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was welcoming from check in to check out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the service and the food.
Cons: Suite 9 is above the restaurant and those wishing total quiet will want a different suite.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was a beautiful property. Very charming. Clean. Nice size room. Loved the big tub. Very friendly staff. Nespresso machine. Comfortable bed.
Cons: There’s no insulation between rooms. We could hear our neighbors walking, talking, flushing the toilet and even vomiting one morning. We didn’t sleep well because of this. Also, I like a restaurant that offers more than just an eight course meal and room service if we want to stay in for the evening. I don’t think I would stay again.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property. We’ll set up room. Very comfortable. The lounge was lovely
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful rooms and amenities; quiet room and fantastic bathroom with sunken tub. We will certainly stay here again!

7.0 Good
Pros: Location and main reception was impressive. Facilities good and design of room was nice. Quiet room. Ceanliness was good. Checkin and out was efficient and friendly.
Cons: The bathrooms needed an update (peeling paint) and on arrival in the late afternoon there were still dirty dishes and food from the night before lying in the corridors. Parking was $20 for 24hour stay. The beds were on the small side compared with other much more affordable accommodations in the area of CA. I feel the price was very high for the quality of hotel offering.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best service and location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenience-close to everything-walking distance to the wharf, beach, great restaurants, and the Aquarium. Pool and hot tub were wonderful and the teenagers used the workout room every morning!
Cons: Parking should really be included in the price of the room!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean
Cons: It was huge and hard to navigate around the hotel. Parking garage was 2 buildings away. Not huge problems but something to be aware of.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Lobby (as most hotels) was very attractive with access to the bar. Greeted upon drive up at hotel which was warming and positive. Gym and pool area are good
Cons: Beds were uncomfortable and on the small side for a queen/double. Carpets in corridors looked as though from 1980s. At check out the representative didnt even ask if I had a pleasant stay, just wanted me to settle the bill and to see my charges was only available if i requested a print out, she wasnt very happy.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel by the sea. Make sure you ask for a room in the main hotel and some overlooked the pool which over looked the main road which was super busy and noisy! Great facilities.

6.8 Good
Pros: Fire place
Cons: The room wasnt was not what it tell you it's on line. It show that the room has a bathtub when it doesnt
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the clean rooms and friendly staff. I also like the fact that they remind us to conserve water and leave a card in case we want bedding changed. They encourage reusing the towels as well. Great place to stay within walking distance of many places.
Cons: No vending machine to get a soda or water. The office has water for free but charge $3 for a can of soda that has not been refrigerated. I also didn't like how much they raise their rate for the weekend and didn't give me my AAA discount because I had booked online.

7.0 Good
Pros: Room size and amenities. Nice gas log fire place and ceiling fan. Small fridge for bringing home left overs.

French country inn with lovely gardens In the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea. 3 blocks to Carmel Beach. Charming rooms with free continental breakfast and high-speed internet. A Non-Smoking Inn.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location right by beach in Carmel! Gorgeous flowers on property as well as very friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast options limited
6.0 Good
Pros: Location is excellent. Love the breakfast and free coffee/tea and cookies at the lounge.
Cons: The rooms can use some fans at least because there was no air conditioning. There were only 10 parking spaces within the hotel, and the rest are street parking.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We arrived at 10 PM on our check in and the front desk staff was extremely friendly and welcoming! He carefully explained the hotel’s extra offerings like the breakfast, the sherry in the foyer, the location, and where to park. He literally walked outside and searched the parking spaces until he found one for us! He wanted to make sure that if we hadn’t had dinner yet, that he gave us a recommendation. Awesome staff! The location is terrific! You can walk to all of Carmel’s shops and restaurants as well as to the beach very easily.
Cons: The rooms are a little dated but the bed was comfortable! The shower was modernized as best as possible but in order to turn the water on, because of where the sliding door had to open, you had to be willing to get a little wet unless you had Bruce Lee moves (which I do not!). But that was a very minor inconvenience.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice lovely decor and room was very big. Breakfast was lovely small area but everyone got in. Lovely quiet town.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location; B & B feel; continental breakfast; parking; pretty grounds

Pros: everything was perfect! really liked the location and was so clean.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and so cute! The staff were great!
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was ideal and we had a parking space right in front where we could leave our car all weekend.
Cons: The hotel is quaint looking and seems to have been recently updated. Unfortunately what they left out was adding AC or a ceiling fan to compensate for the great amount of moisture that the rooms seems to hold on to. The windows weren't able to be opened either. Even though it was only in the mid sixties outside the room seemed to be in the 70's due to the humidity. Not sure if this is bc of how old the "bones" of the place is or what. We have stayed in other places in Carmel before and never experienced this. The walls are paper thin as we could hear EVERYTHING from the neighbors next to us as well as the neighbors below us and anyone walking around the room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location!
