Cons: The breakfast was a little repetitive for six days, most of the dishes didn’t change and only two or three of them alternate between two choices. The cupboard is a small as any other Japanese hotel. Need to ask for more hangers of course.

Pros: They gave us Starbucks gift cards for breakfast and coffee; some of the staff were lovely; the bathroom facilities were great - clean and well designed; the lockers were a good size and pretty convenient to have, as many capsule hotels only provide locks and a baggage area. Also, upon request I was provided a larger nightgown which was very comfortable.

Cons: One of the staff-members was very abrupt and uninterested in answering questions; the lack of any common space to spend time together (many capsule hotels do offer a lounge area where you can socialise); the capsules were comfortable but creaky, and while I liked the screen design they were a little difficult to fasten and unfasten.

Pros: We are a family of 3. The hotel is easy access, walking distance from subway station. The staff were polite. Smooth check-in and check-out. The non-smoking room was clean, spacious. The bed was comfortable. As a Muslim, although the option for halal food were limited (without alcohol and meat), we were still enjoy our breakfast time. The restaurant staff were kind and friendly.

Pros: To be fair downtown Sendai is almost all business hotels. Spotless facilities, walking distance to everything (two stops subway ride from train terminal) and great value with free dinner and late night ramen. I mean your regular Japanese food is not too high in calories, so this is a convenient occasion for some guilty pleasure.
Cons: Rooms not very soundproof.

Pros: The room was clean and after midnight I didn't hear any clomping around, so had a fairly good sleep.
Cons: I didn't read that the ofuro was only for men. In fact, I thought that I would be staying at the main Dormy Inn, where I had stayed once before. Although the staff were nice, I didn't see any other female guests. I won't be staying there again.

Pros: The location is not bad, as it is only a 10 minute walk away from Omachi Nishi Kouen subway station. If you're interested in visiting the Date Masamune statue this is also a good place to start from as you can walk from the subway station to the castle area, plus you get to cross Hirose River at the same time which offers some nice views. They also provide you with a free smartphone that has google maps and internet on it, which you can use during your stay. There's a ramen shop not too far away which always has long lines outside of it at night, unfortunately, I didn't get to try it.

Cons: When the staff charged on my credit card, she chose to charge it in my home country currency without asking me. Seasoned travelers would know that the exchange rate is bad when you don't charge your credit card in local currency. Even though the price difference wasn't huge considering it's not a big number to begin with, I wasn't happy as it should've been my decision to make. Oh, and the room is smaller than advertised.

Cons: We booked for 3 nights and given a room on the 9th floor. The water pressure was rubbish and couldn't shower, and had many issues with air bubbles. Even flushing the toilet! They changed our room, but we had to check out, leave our bags at reception and then check in again. No apologies or explanation given. Was overpriced in comparison to other hotels that we stayed in.

Pros: There was a fridge, WiFi, tv, kettle, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, New toothbrush,, razor, towels every day, Coffee, tea packs every day, very polite reception, great breakfast, great service, great location, great athmosphere, changing bed linen almost every day, slippers, night gown, great bed, silent room. Perfect. Thank you for your awesome hospitality and kindness. I would go again.

Cons: We booked through booking.com we had our reservation confirmation and payment and were told that we needed to pay and additional $122 They told us booking.com made a mistake. A mistake is I had to pay double

Pros: The breakfast buffet was good with a few changes each morning as well as some consistent offerings. The staff was helpful (most spoke at least some English) and the location was right by Sendai Station.
Cons: I would suggest bringing your own pillows, as the ones provided weren't very comfortable, and the mattresses were pretty thin, but that seems pretty common in Japan.

Cons: Hotel is quite old - room had a lot of stains/marks on the walls and the bedsheets and pillow case were dirty (asked reception to change which they kindly did) - bathroom was clean but old and really tiny (almost like in airplane)

Cons: -The bedsheets were dirty -Room was dark with only a small yellow light light in the middle -Room was old, needs a renovation -Hotel is located in an alley so it was especially hard to find at night -Metal doors -Walls were so thin, I can hear people walking in the hallway and opening their room door. *Bonus: -Told the front desk that I didn’t need the cleaning services when he asked and left the “do not disturb” sign on the door when I went out but came back to a made up room anyway. -Right in front of the main entrance there are stairs to lead to the front desk. Stairs????? After a long day of dragging my suitcase the last thing I want is stairs in my hotel. Bad design. I checked in for 4 nights. Within 10mins of reaching the hotel (and seeing the room), I ask the staffs if it’s possible for my to stay for 1 night and get back my money for the other 3 nights because there is no way I can sleep in a place like this. The staff replied “of course” but then when he found out that I paid in advance (through booking.com) he said that he’s unable to refund me... Paying in advance was a mistake, wasted so much money because the room was so uncomfortable I had to book another place to stay... I’ve never left a bad review and hate to make things difficult for the staffs but this is truly the worse hotel I’ve been to. Never again...

Pros: The price was good, and the position is close to Sendai Station, even if it's a little hard to spot quickly. The staff tried to check everyone in as quickly as they could.
Cons: The room was a little small compared to other hotels, and the bathroom was a bit rough with peeling paint. The lobby has a strange motor oil smell too. But not a bad place for the price.

Pros: The location and the staff were amazing. The hotel was only a 4 minute walk away from the station. The staff were friendly and assisted us with everything. The bed was comfortable as well and the changed all the towels and refill our toiletries daily. They also had free wifi in the room and on the property.

Pros: The location and the staff were amazing. The hotel was only a 4 minute walk away from the station. The staff were friendly and assisted us with everything. The bed was comfortable as well and the changed all the towels and refill our toiletries daily. They also had free wifi in the room and on the property.
Cons: The room was very small. There wasn’t enough space to move around. The bathroom was way too tiny. It was very hard to take a shower without hitting my elbow in the wall. The room and the bathroom were not very clean.
