Pros: We loved everything in this Hotel - the room was spacious and we got upgraded since it was our Honeymoon - the food both at the restaurants and the room service was amazing and very tasty and the spa was great . The location is amazing especially for short stays ! 100% recommended ❤️

Cons: Controls for heat and cooling did not do much to change the temperature of air flow. Very small temperature range allowed. But did not bother us much.

Pros: Hotel location was fantastic, which is why we chose it. Reception and checking in was very good and impressive. The room was basic, with little in the way of 5* amenities e.g. coffee pod machine, turn down service or broad TV/satellite service. It was more in the way of a UK Premier Inn type room - comfortable but easily forgettable. Considering it was New Years Eve the hotel was very quiet and lacked any ‘atmosphere’ in any of the communal areas. There was a reasonably priced NY party, but it finished at 10pm which negated the impetus to attend. All in all, it was fine, but nothing memorable and not on the league of other 5* hotels that I have stayed at.

Definitely at a strategic location, as it is in the heart of Xintiandi. Third wave coffee spots are within walking distance. Big brands and local brands in big stores which make shopping great! Not as crowded as in Nanjing East and West. Two metros nearby, nearest one at K11 mall. Room is excellent, comfortable beds, there are choices of pillows, English channels TV, ceiling to floor windows, great bathroom, toilet with seat warmer. Hotel smells good too! I was there for my birthday and they sent me a birthday cake! Very thoughtful.

Pros: The place smells wonderful, from the floral smell that hits at the door, the wonderful food smells in the elevator to the clean room smell, this is a beautiful place to stay. The view of the city is lovely, and the room good sized. We have the option of luxurious bath tub or rain type shower. There are two sinks, and the bed is of course most comfortable with light control buttons on the nightstand. The toilet is automatic, and I do believe the seats are heated somehow. The staff is attentive and courteous. Location is close to trendy restaurants and shopping.

Cons: Could not access the Wifi. In general, China’s internet is different from the rest of the world. So if you’d like to access Google and your social media platforms, figure out your own roaming plans, which I did.

Pros: W Hotels are the best Hotels I‘ve ever been. Doesn‘t matter if in Barcelona or in Shanghai everywhere I was more than satisfied. The staff been so nice to us and our room with it‘s furnishing and view was amazing! The inside pool and spa was also amazing!
Cons: The only thing I can complain about is the price - but that‘s Ok, we knew W Hotels are expensive but it‘s definetly worth it!

Location of hotel was good. It's one block from a major pedestrian shopping mall and you can easily walk to the river or to the square. The hotel room we got was a king and was really nice. It had a huge room and the bathroom was really nice also.
Cons: The A/C in our room didn't work. We notified reception and they sent an engineer to fix it and it worked for 36 or so hours after that and then blew warm air again. The reception staff said all the rooms A/C are bad and there was no point in moving us to another room. She said it's because the A/C units are old and the outside air is too warm to cool.

Service- I get that the service in China is bad, I get it. But come on, train your service better. I couldn't get a taxi for half an hour, and the guy outside was trying to get a taxi for me. If they were smart, they would have called a taxi through phone.

We got a room upgrade - but only because our room wasn't ready on check in and we complained about this - so can attest that their 26 floor suites are very comfy (but not outstanding). Cleaning and service staff were mostly very helpful and efficient.
Cons: Some service could have been better, with a need to complain after our room was not ready for check in and another staff member being somewhat officious. The swimming pool was being serviced while we were there, and the gym seemed a bit old and tired (and the pull up bars have a very low ceiling above them - attested by a broken bit where I assume somebody before me hadn't noticed quite how low). We were not always seated at breakfast and on one day had to go and get our own drinks, but breakfast staff are usually quite good. But shocked that we got mugs of teabag tea and not pots (and especially in China got green tea in not very good tea bags too - Twinnings, whose green tea is not their best - rather than loose leaf).

Cons: When booking for 3 adults via booking the showed an icon of 3 adults (it was my mom my brother and me- all adults over 35yrs), yet when we arrived there was only 1 king-size bed.... come on... It wasn't handled properly and my brother had to sleep on a sofa bed super not comfortable. Giving the fact you are paying over 200$ per night for 3 adults we were disappointed.

Cons: It was a shame because a taxi driver tried to rob us and nobody from the reception desk tried to help us, and we felt alone since the pirate taxi driver was inside in the lobby like a regular guest while screaming us. While he receptionist(Sun da) only said that he could not do anything. He never tried to help us, and he washed his hands All the receptionists know that the guests who travel to Shanghai have problems with taxi drivers because they try to deceive them, this case we had to pay two times to the taxi driver because he deceived us and nobody helped us. We never do a booking in any hotel of the Jin Jiang chain again.

Pros: I've stayed in the Jinjiang many times. Very good location - right next to a metro and close to the French Concession. Also, a decent number of restaurants close by. Rooms are very good, and a good size. Clean, comfortable.... All in all, a great choice.

The hotel is clean and modern. The staff was wonderful. The executive lounge had great food and a terrific view. Our room was large and comfortable.

Cons: It appears that more female staff are recently hired, which is great. More materials need to be provided to them to help them know what tourists generally ask about.
One thing I noticed about mainland Chinese is that that they do not give details but only a generalized answers. The more experienced staff are okay. But the newer staff should be told to be more specific because world travelers are not stupid. The details are what tourists want.
Also, give the young female staff encouragements rather than criticisms. And have the experienced staff, who seems to be mostly males, to give the female staff a chance to help tourists - so don't take over but assist on the side.

Cons: (1) Initially I booked 6 rooms for 4 nights then due to other hotels offered inclusive breakfast, so I cancelled it and try re-book other hotel, suddenly hotel sent me an invitation to re-book the room will offer breakfast with the same price, but when we check in that time, the counter said it was only 1 breakfast offered, the other person need to pay for the breakfast at RMB 195 ++ per person. What a shame for a 5 stars hotel being so mean especially we booked so many rooms for so many nights. (2) Just be careful with their words when they offering you some thing. (3) Swimming pool is a bit small. (4) Lobby at level 4. Not ground floor.

Cons: 1. During check in, there was a chinese woman staff who can’t understand English at all, she made mistakes on our room card. Everybody had to go to front desk every day due to the expired room card it was very inconvenient and sometimes stuck in the lift because room card didn’t work. chinese woman staff’s customer service made us feel unpleasant. 2. Bell boys and the people who work on the first floor was very nice and speaking better English than the staff who worked at the front desk. Need to hire more fluent english speaking staff like the bell boys on the first floor. Cleaning was nice except the lamp has lots of dust on it. 3. TV was broken and didn’t work but staff didn’t fix it whilst we are staying. Don’t give false promise to customers when you are not willing to fix it.

When we bluntly refused to accept the small room, and told that we would not stay in this property, they offer other better room, however still on lower floor . We were extremely tired after an overnight flight and the first day sleep changed our entire vacation mood, for the good ofcourse. The sleep quality is very good (9/10 at least). The bed is comfortable, there is very little humming from the nearby main boulevard - you won't notice it, the linen is qualitative, and you get 2 very comfy pillows for each of you. Overall, the sleep quality is better than in most hotels. The position is very good, is within walking distance of quite a few tourist objectives. You will always quickly get a taxi if you order from the reception and this is important, as getting a taxi in Shangai is not always easy.

Cons: First night when we got there, the floors were not vacuum cleaned - still bearing some residues from previous occupants. They fixed that immediately. It was a simple mistake, we are still happy wih their services. The room has little storage space. The windows do not have thermical break point - there is a simple glass insulating you from the outside, but it's not big of an issue for a few days stay.

Upon complaining we were accomodated the next day on a higher level with a better and wonderful room. Cons: The only thing that I did not like was when we arrived, they gave us two rooms with single bed, instead of double bed.
