9.2 Excellent
Pros: + view + room layout (make sure you have water view room) + staff
Cons: - no convenience store - if you like to have snacks or late night food please make sure that you buy at the convenience store near the station as there is really nothing available at the hotel store in terms of food and there is no room service ( a club sandwich @ the lounge is over ¥2000++) - small thing @ restaurant if you like French food - the duck "confit" is grilled duck not French style confit - meaning tougher game style meat and not melting in your mouth
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Cakes from late morning to early evening were superb and reasonably priced.
Cons: The hotel is geared up for Japanese guests, which is to be expected. So breakfast was fantastic for Japanese cuisine. Not quite so good for western tastes. Fruit selection was unexciting and bacon was strange. One dinner I chose confit duck and it was so tough that I couldn't eat it. Even the chef didn't know what had gone wrong with it! At least I wasn't charged for it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the view of Mt Fuji... the staff.. the food...
Cons: everything g was great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, very spacious with its own garden with the view of Mt. FUJI
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: No Gym
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location, in extensive grounds, with a great view of Mount Fuji. The room was spacious and very well appointed, with floor to ceiling windows and a large balcony. The only restaurant which had availability when we arrived was the European restaurant, but the food there was excellent.
Cons: I cannot think of much that was wrong, but if I was being picky, I would say that there was a bit of a wait for breakfast, and the bread for the toast ran out! Oh, and the free shuttle bus could run a bit more frequently.

6.7 Good
Pros: The onsenwas lovely
Cons: The room was very small. Staff were very helpful, buttery little English
7.9 Good
Pros: Those different spas are Fantastic.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The hotel was clean, wifi was OK, ample parking.
Cons: This hotel is HUGE, think thousands of rooms. You don't realize it when looking at the building which is not that big, but you immediately understand it when entering the room: it's tiny. Very tiny. We couldn't open our 2 suitcases at the same time. More importantly, this hotel had a very strong smell throughout the building, and an old-fashioned feel about it that we didn't like. You have to remove your shoes from the lobby and put it in one of the thousands of shoe locker, and it's always so busy with all those people. This hotel is like a factory, and you have very few for your money. The bus driver has also been very rude at us which is unusual in Japan. Obviously nobody did speak English, but honnestly that was the least of our concerns considering the overall feeling (and smell!) about this hotel. They have several restaurants but we weren't brave enough to try, and they forbid against bringing food to the room so we ate at the convenience store a few blocks away - so romantic for a stay at a hotel facing the beach.
5.8 Okay
Pros: It has a nice big spa which is relaxing and full of amenities. Staff are friendly and food is OK. Free shuttle to the train station.
Cons: The hotel seems as it hasn't been renovated in 20 years and has an old vibe to it. A bit expensive compared to other hotels we stayed at in Japan.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, spa , the massage and good food.
Cons: The elevator doesn’t have a stopper on both sides of the door. I was getting on the elevator and the door started to close . I put up my right hand to stop it and nothing . I put up my right arm and that door had a stopper. The door started to close and took my pinky toe and 4th door with it. My toes were bent back badly it was very painful and then my foot was swollen and bruised. Walking was hard. We spoke to the staff and they really said nothing except oh! No reports no we are sorry nothing. The massage lady was kind and massaged around the area and gave me a cold pad to put on it. Upon check out the staff asked how my foot was and I said it’s worse and very bruised and they again just oh! Then they gave me a cold pad to put on my foot! I went there to relax and come back refreshed instead I came home with a very swollen foot. I am disappointed that they didn’t even try to figure out how this happened to prevent it from happening again! What if it was s child who tried to get on the elevator. I sent a message to the hotel and no response . Sadly it is one of my favorite spas ! This time get disappointed . It has been a week and my foot is still painful but getting better little by little . Yes I do have photos of my foot.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful
Cons: Slightly isolated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: No bloody croissants in this hotel I say, staff couldn’t speak English , were arrogant, didn’t give a damn , made me feel really second rate, not a good experience at all , don’t book there no showers in rooms, check small print you have a sergeant major telling you you not welcome if you have any tattoos, bad bad advertisements for the World Cup , never go there again , good riddance
Cons: See above

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfy hotel, nice extras like provides a charger, by suburban railway station
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was clean and spacious enough. for my husband and myself. The hotel is very close to the station which was ideal for us. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite, I would definitely recommend this hotel
Cons: Nothing to dislike
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was immaculate, and very quiet even though the hotel was next to the train station. Facilities are very high specification. Breakfast really good value for money.
Cons: The bed configuration was not what I expected. I set my filter for one adult and two kids (ages 11 and 12), and the results for this hotel delivered a room, which I chose, having one double bed. We cannot all three of us sleep on one double bed. It took them 2 days to initially get back to me (thereafter response were quick) but by that time I couldn't cancel my booking. I had to change to two single beds (for a fee) and sleep across the two beds - not an ideal night's rest. I was also charged an extra 200 yen for Breakfast - problem is that when I made the booking it specifically said no breakfast option but I thought I ask when we arrived and I could then book breakfast for an extra fee. Not good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They were very understanding and let us book in early due to Typhoon
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the cleanliness were up to standard. The staff very friendly and helpful. Check in was so easy and they held our luggage at reception.
Cons: The quality of the breakfast was poor. We were down early, yet no food had been replaced nor were staff bringing out fresh supplies. The pictures of what is on offer differ to what is available. Rooms very warm.

7.9 Good
Pros: Position is very strategic, 3 mins walk from the main station and the main shopping area. The room was clean and comfortable and so was the bed. Very useful the multi USB charger that worked well with all my devices. WiFi connection ok although not particularly fast.
Cons: The breakfast is very limited consisting of 4 fixed menu with very limited choice. The breakfast siting area is very small so not a place for a relaxed breakfast. What ws really not ok was the persistent smell of smoke in the hall and in the breakfast area.
7.9 Good
Pros: Near to Shizuoka station
Cons: N/A
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Just next to the station Great breakfast Very kind staff
6.0 Good
Pros: I liked the smartphone in the room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: everything!
Cons: nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the whole vibe of the room and the location and pleasant stuff always greeting us when they see us.
Cons: Morning breakfast was horrible. Little options and room service menu has only limited choices and the pizzas we ordered on room service menu was horrible. Very pricey food. I Don't recommend the breakfast and room service. It's better to eat out somewhere else than to pay for something that isn't stomach fullfilling.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was a decent place to stay and easy to get around in Shizuoka despite the Typhoon passing by. The staff are on the ball and are respectively good for a budget hotel. Breakfast is fast and good. Quite a pleasant experience.
Cons: There was no place to do the laundry on your own. That would've been more convenient than to find somewhere else or use the hotel's services which charge you per item, but it's the only thing I can dislike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: before I check-in, there was a problem with parking my car. I asked to the front desk and then manager helped me to deal with that a lot. because of the hot temperature, he must be very humid and exhausted.. I've so appreciated with his kind help. many thanks. All the facility was great enough, also breakfast was yummy too.

7.9 Good
Pros: Friendly staff and good Rotenburo. Good space for 2 adults and my daughter to share. Excellent food and location perfect for seaside walking and views over the sea to Mount Fuji.
Cons: The check out time of 10.00 seemed a bit early and the food was served very fast and it felt that we were needing to keep their schedule.
7.5 Good
Cons: Only few staff on phone can speak and understand English
9.6 Excellent
Pros: + Location , close by the walk way to Miho beach. + Japanese room style , huge room area , separate bedroom and living room , toilet separate bathroom-bathtub. + Hotel inside and garden decoration very nice. + Hotel staff (young lady) that specific to take care my group very nice , friendly and always smile. + Breakfast , Japanese traditional style , serve as alacarte , taste nice. + Room have balcony to walk to hotrl garden. + Have pool onsen. + Have private parking. + Souvenir shop , cute. + Price , a little bit high but more value when we get good service and get nice room. + We will make a chance to comeback Miho beach and this hotel.
Cons: - Strictly on time , you have to inform time for breakfast and room adjust to be bedroom. Not easy for family group that have a little child. - Front reception have full service may until around 09:00 - 10:00pm. Afterthat may have only 1 person to take care. - Have no laundry service , we have to go outside around 1 km. - Usually Japan hotel , check out time 10:00 am.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast and dinner prepared by the hostel was excellent! They used the fresh ingredients and cooked them nicely, although the amount seems a lot, me and my family could finish them all! The accommodation was excellent too, neat and cozy, and the staff were so helpful and cheerful. The location is super good to see Mt. Fuji!
Cons: If the hostel could prepare shuttle bus service to the closet JR station would be better, and the hair dryer in the room wasn't strong enough.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, public bath(quality of water), close to sea side you can have a nice walk in the morning
Cons: I pre ordered ¥8000 for Kaiseki dinner in a hotel, However it didnt really meet my expectations.(maybe my fault). By the time i arrived to my table small bites of starters were already on the table,, followed by sashimi and pre cooked fish, braised veggies for my main meal only given rice, miso soup, assorted pickes that was it! Also drinks menu(sake ect) between japanese and english menu were different in terms of price. On English menu they do not offer sake by the glass,, minimum sake price range starting from ¥2000 which is not fair. Also my meal (for solo traveller) and table of 3 next to mine were quite different-they were given extra chicken dish with their rice! I asked them later if they ordered special menu but told me it was part of ‘package’ deal. I got an impression that the whole thing was a bit of a rip off for foreigners? My conclusion is 1. If you do not read or speak Japanese, avoid ordering Kaiseki dinner because it was no where near worth ¥8000. Also i had to order 300ml Sake ¥2000 on top of it. If I am lucky enough to visit them again i will definitely explore local resto. 2. On the positive side, the quality of public bath is top notch. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Also if you can get up early in the morning, strongly recommend take a walk by the sea side.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What an incredible experience
Cons: No negative points

Cons: All good. Usual small room.

Cons: The rooms were a tad small, but it wasn't a big issue.
5.8 Okay
Pros: nice breakfast and 1 free drink
Cons: tiny room

Pros: Perfect location in walking distance to the station. We only spend one night there to watch a rugby match during the World Cup. The staff at the reception is very nice and helpful, however, communication was a bit difficult. The rooms are very small but comfortable.
Cons: The room was very small and the breakfast was not the best.

Pros: Clean rooms. Free breakfast was surprisingly nice.
Cons: Very small rooms and small double bed. Staff didn't speak much English and couldn't provide extra sheet for the bed as requested.
7.1 Good
Pros: Good location and reasonable facilities
Cons: Tiny rooms
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff were excellent.
Cons: The bed was very hard and there was no space to get out of the bed on both sides. The breakfast menu was very small.
7.9 Good
Pros: Surprised by this hotel. Yes the rooms are small - but bright and well lit. Breakfast was fine. Everything was spotless. Wasn’t trying to be anything it wasn’t.
4.6 Okay
Cons: 1. Extremely unhelpful staff who would not even call for a taxi and cannot speak or understand English. The cleaners from the Phillipines are smarter, helpful and can speak English so they should be at the front desk and the front desk staff should be doing the cleaning. 2. Even though the typhoon Hagibis forced us all to stay in the hotel, the hotel refused to open the restaurant for dinner or lunch. So we all had to eat food from 7-11. If they cannot be helpful in such a disaster situation, it sums the attitude of the management of this hotel up. They would not even open up the restaurant for us all to sit in.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good breakfast and location.

Pros: It was exactly as described. Functional rooms, which were clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. We were also there during the typhoon and the hotel provided some free food, which was greatly appreciated.
Cons: The location is a really quite far from anywhere you'd want to be. About a 40 minute walk or 2500 Yen taxi to anything. This was quite a drawback.
7.1 Good
Pros: Clean room, nice & polite staff. Free tea/coffee, fridge, robes, nice sized bathroom. Lots of food places around which is nice.
Cons: No real fault of the hotel, but the location isn't great with regards to the proximity to the main train station. Rooms were a bit basic for the price.
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff very friendly, made an effort to welcome us. Breakfast was usual Japanese fare, good tea and coffee. location is 'out-of-town' but good restaurants nearby

Cons: Decor a bit tired. Cost was same as smarter hotels possibly because of Rugby World Cup being on

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Only a few min away from Shizuoka station, surrounded by bars and restaurants.. Exceptionally clean.
Cons: The hotel room had a slight moldy smell to it, so we had to sleep with a window open, but thankfully the weather was great.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: While the hotel appears outdated and in need of modernisation, we had a clean rooom with a very comfortable bed, good hotel facilities and a good breakfast with a wide selection on the breakfast buffet. It's also in a great location near the station with lots of shops, bars and restaurants close by.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderfully central yet quiet location, very gentle staff, wonderful breakfast
Cons: Carpet flooring and no possibility of opening the windows make everything very very dusty, and if someone is allergic to dust it becomes very difficult to enjoy the hotel that otherwise is fantastic
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Parking lot attendant was a little snippy.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really close from Shizuoka Station, which was super convenient for us.
Cons: Some of the staff were pretty intrusive. At breakfast, I made a mistake pouring juice and I didn’t like being touched by the staff and being pulled away from the juice machine as they spoke in Japanese.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all very helpful and polite. The location was excellent very handy for the shops bars and restaurants.
Cons: The room was small.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was fine, but breakfast area very small
Cons: Booked a non smoking room and received a smoking room , that reeked of smoke, not enjoyable at all.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The staff were friendly but did not speak much english.
Cons: The hotel bed was very uncomfortable, we ended up with back pain after just one night, and due to the weather, we had to stay a second one. The Pillow's were terrible. 1 lift operating for 9 floors
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, simple yet delicious breakfast. Eggs were definitely extra fluffy.
Cons: The room was clean, but it's obvious that the hotel is starting to get a bit old, things like moldy spots and a bit outdated fittings in the bathroom spoil the overall impression but it is compensated by other benefits.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable, it had a couch and coffee table as well as the comfortable bed and pillow. The fridge was handy as we had to bunker down for 30 odd hours when the typhoon went through. There was some English language TV too which was great. It was very close to the train station and to convenience stores. Solid double glazed windows.
Cons: The smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby and corridors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location!
