Pros:The pool, comfortable bed and close proximity to ruins made this repeat stay worthwhile. Reasonable prices at restaurant we thought. All foreign guests which is good to share experiencs.. Well light room with full wall of windows to pool view are great.
Cons:Dispute my being recognized as a multi time visitor the manager would not honor the reduced rate offered to me in my last visit. He had me laboriously take the time to make the reservation over the internet . It was a real hassle and dispute me showing him the confirmation of the reservation he delayed giving us the room key. They wanted to take my phone and produce a copy if the Reservation which I would not allow. No one has ever asked for this! They just don't understand or trust that once you have the confirmation number they are assured payment. They even asked me to pay the full room rate before getting the key. Fortunate for me the relented and gave me the key but the wait with my 95 year old mother who suffered in her wheel chair left a bad taste. It us a great facility but they need ti be educated on how to treat guests. We booked on the internet and the hotel made less money then if they had accepted my offer. We were going ti spend a week but left early and headed back to great, cheap accommodations in Merida. Hope this helps other travelers and hope the hotel learns about how reservation come in. U work in the travel industry and live in Mexico. Thus hotel is good if you need air conditioning and pool.
