Cons: The rooms could’ve been better soundproofed as noise from both the adjacent and above rooms filtered through quite a lot. The view was of a wall but that’s part and parcel of a city hotel and were we staying longer than a night I’m sure a room with a view can be upgraded to.

Pros: Easy to catch the metro from the airport to Alemeda station and then walk to the hotel. The location was across the road from the Turia Park and easy to walk to the aquarium (Oceanografic), Opera House and Science Museum, as well into the centre of town. Possible to pick up the tourist city tour bus down the road. Room was large with a good sized bathroom and storage space. Housekeeping were excellent, coming everyday and completing tasks to a high standard. Hotel was very clean. We requested a quiet room and were given a room at the end of corridor with a view. This meant we were not really aware of other guests. A great rental bike shop was also around the corner...Piu Bikes. Nice bar and very attentive, helpful staff (most speak excellent English) at reception. Great swimming pool which we used a number of times.

Cons: The hotel is on a very busy road junction and although on the fifth floor we were still aware of the high level of traffic noise, sirens and even people singing/shouting. Triple glazing is really required.

Cons: Everything is outdated: bed sheets, interior, bathroom, elevators. Also found hair in the room service food (prepared for a child), food was not even good, in the hotel restaurant I have ordered one cucumber for a child and was charged 12 euro for it (though, after complaining at the reception this sum was cancelled.

Pros: The Barcelo is a modern quality hotel in a great location opposite the Science & Arts centre. The Number 19 bus stops right outside the door and you can go into the old town or to the beach for 1.5 euro's. The staff are very friendly and smile a lot. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as we prefer to go to local cafe's. The hotel has a secure underground car park (with a very small entrance so not suitable for very large vehicles) It's 15 euro per day to park there but well worth it. The rooftop bar has a great view over the city, the service is very good but the drinks are a bit expensive. Rooms are modern bright and very clean.

Cons: When I got to my room, the smell was just unbearable. I prefer not to use word to describe it, but I thougth I could die. When I came back to the reception desk, the fellows there looked at each other and said: "I told you. It's reaching the fifth floor". It took me an hour to get another room. No restaurant, no room service, no rooftop terrace. I moved to another hotel in the morning.

The breakfast was fabulous and has something for everyone. Would highly recommend this hotel. A 15 minute walk from the old town and just round the corner is Mercat de colon which I highly recommend stopping off at for an evening Aperol spritz!

The rooms were clean .Daily change the Towels- white and fluffy- The elevator it was fast. our room was on the eighth floor. We had shops nearby. We needed to print the plane tickets and they helped us immediately. For us this city break was very nice. Thanks again to the hosts ! We will definitely return.

Access to the main Beach and port and easy access to the old historic town centre. The hotel itself is medium to large in feel with plenty of facilities and efficiently cleaned. Tasteful modern decor -some might say leaning towards business but arty as well. Staff are always available and always helpful with excellent language skills (English for me)

Cons: Breakfast while varied in content and range lacked something and I might have questioned paying for it every day if it had not been included in my deal - however l noticed a thriving bakery/cafe next door which would have done well if I hadn't selected breakfast. Pros: The location was good near the city of arts and sciences, and you can walk to the city centre via the long 'river' park. It takes no more than 30 minutes.
Cons: The room was on the ground floor and the windows were not particularly good so you could hear all the noise from the nearest road. Also, although we were blessed with loceky weather and sunny days, the room was dark. I would have prefered a room in the 4th or 5th floor.

Cons: Location is near the maritime side of Valencia, but it is quite far from city center. No electric plugs near the beds. You cannot use your phone while laying in bed, instead you should put it far away and wait for it to charge then use it.

Cons: The internal clima of the room was really unconfortable! Humid (because of windows?). Courtains with humidity spots, etc. etc. This problem should be faced structurally by the Hotel owner!
