Found the location was great, easy to find our way around from being based there. Staff friendly and helpfull. The shower could have been cleaner when standing in there looking at the door on the left there was black mould. Room 317
Good location, nice and clean, comfortable beds, great breakfast included in the price. Excellent value for money.
The location was perfect. The room was clean and the beds are very comfortable. We interacted with 2 staff members from the front desk. One was incredibly helpful and kind. The other was rude and acted as though we were just 'stupid tourists' despite the fact that I would imagine a lot of their business is from tourism. When we valet parked our car, they required that we go down to get our luggage from the vehicle and then had to walk back up the ramp against traffic - very odd considering we paid $34 for one night of parking. Then, seeing how we are not from NZ, and discussed our travels, we were not aware that we had to put our card into this slot near the door to engage any power. This was not obvious to us, and it is not customary in hotels in the US. When we called down to ask if they had an idea why our AC wasn't working, the woman (who also worked with us at the front desk) was clearly irritated with us and acted as though we were idiots. While this seems like a small collection of interactions, it left a very poor taste in my mouth in regards to my stay at Novotel Wellington.
Everything about it - as could perhaps be guessed from the fact that it rated 'excellent' on all features above.

The location of the hotel was very nice ans the staff was beyond warm and welcoming!
The gym and pool facilities were great, very clean and the gym staff were friendly and attentive. I found the administration around my booking very poor. I ended up spending too much of my time reconfirming things I'd already told the staff about my booking and the cost. Generally I found the service of the staff poor given the quality of the hotel - I get much better and responsive service from other quality hotels.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The apartment contained everything we could possibly need and the hotel is in a good central position in the city.
Nice Rooms and very handy to everything we needed. We didnt like having a phone call two days before we were due to stay telling us of a mix up in Bookings telling us we couldnt stay at City Life and being put up in another Hotel of very budget Accommodation,(after we had booked 6mths in advance) and told it was going to be of similar quality to City Life, it wasnt until the second night we found out there was actually a room available,not that anyone was going to tell us!

It is a conveniently located hotel I had booked a twin bedded room some months before leaving the UK. We were eventually offered a single/double bed and had to have a (very comfortable) "put-you-up" bed squeezed into the room. Seperetely, the restauant manageress was graceless and "sour" and gave a poor impressing of hospitality. I would never stay in the Hliday Inn in Welligton or recommend it ti friends or business colleagues
