We drive a luxury car but do not like to travel and put a lot of miles on it. So we rent. The facility was immaculate, very clean and well kept. The staff at pick up and drop off were amazing, efficient and helpful! The car we didn’t care for it wasn’t cleaned very well. There were crumbs in the passenger seat seams that could have been easily vacuumed out. There were 3 old stickers that blocked the view on the windshield that someone has peeled off. My husband used some remover so we could see better without obstructing our view. There were SKU stickers on the drivers door that when you changed lanes for a minute you thought it was another vehicle. The car only had 15,000 miles on it but ran dogish: no pick up, kept shutting off at a stop and could not be stopped with a button like my own car. Overall, it was a good experience, we just didn’t like the car.Reviewed 31 Jul 2026

This is the 3rd time I deal with Avis in Venice Marco Polo Airport. Each single time they try to charge extra for damages that do not exists or blaming that refueling was not done. Thankfully I always have proofs like pictures or video of the before and after the use of the vehicle and receipt from the gasoline station. But these attempt to scam customers with unjustified extra charges should be taken extremely seriously. This only happens at Venice Marco Polo Airport AVIS office.Reviewed 30 Jul 2026

Everything was great except the pick up experience. The woman who helped us at the Avis counter was friendly, but the stall number that she gave us for the car was occupied by a different car than the one she has assigned us. We went to the Avis booth in the parking lot, and the woman there assigned us a different stall with a similar car to the one we had been promised. However, when we started loading our luggage into the car, another customer came up and showed us that he had been assigned that car as well. So we had to go back to the Avis booth, and the woman there agreed to assign another car to the other customer. Then, when we started up the car, it said "maintenance needed", so we had to go back to the Avis booth, and the woman told us that that was just about an oil change and not to worry about it.Reviewed 29 Jul 2026

They were rude and just useless. I told them that my Gold, Capital One Mastercard, covered vehicle rental insurance. I also provided the letter stating the card i have, as well as the coverage; but they insist that my card doesn't cover it, and that i needed a letter with my name on it. I called the credit card company, just to make them happy, and they said they don't issue letters in people's names. I went over to budget and right away the lady says my card is covered for insurance. I'll never use Avis again they are stupidReviewed 29 Jul 2026

Booked the mystery car. It was unclear it could have been an EV. It was unclear how the charging worked, and the agent was rushed, only suggesting upcharging us to a regular car. It felt scammy and nickel and dimed.Reviewed 29 Jul 2026
