After working in Lombardia for the two weeks previously, I enjoyed my night in Bologna at the hotel very much and was able to finally relax with ease here. It was just a shame I had such an early flight as I didn't want to leave.

Cons: Only one thing: The air conditioner could not be controlled. If you want to adjust it, you have to ask the reception. A little odd. But other than that, this hotel is e x c e l l e n t!!

Cons: The shower was a bit small and hard to maneuveur. Breakfast room was a bit noisy with the espresso machine. Hard pressed really to say what we did not like. Our friends had a ground floor room and could not open their windows because people were smoking in the courtyard outside their window and smoke came in the room.

Cons: The hotel is extremely dated, and we were placed in a smoking room, which we didn't even realize still existed. The room smelled disgusting, and we had to keep the window open to circulate the air...and also to cool us down because the heat setting in the room was unbearable and not adjustable.

When you walk around, you do not think there would be such a nice hotel hidden there, so it is a nice surprise. The breakfast is actually (by Italian standards) very nice. Lots of choice, and the people are very friendly. You have to ask for things, i.e. there is normally an American coffee and several tea choices, but if you ask they will bring you a cappuccino (or something else). I think the same is for GF options. They have things available, but not always in sight. The room/shower was actually very nice and clean. ZWi-Fi was very good for me, I needed to work at times, and had no issues with the Wi-Fi.

To say they were just professional is to say nothing, because they extented services far beyond the call of duty. Pros: Great hotel in the city center of Bologna. Spacious and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Private parking next to the hotel which is really nice because find a parking spot in Bologna is really difficult. They have two restaurants, one trattoria and one 1 starred michelin. Both are really nice.

Cons: The room was smaller than I expected and it was a point of decision to me when I was looking for rooms, seems the hotel was fully booked, maybe it could be a reason. The shower was not that relaxing as I was expecting, I know that we need to save our planet and consume less water, but the water flow was too weak.

Cons: Although there were quite a few choices for breakfast, all of them tasted awful. (I tried everything). I stayed for one night, checked in the afternoon (5pm) and checked out the morning after (9am). Unfortunately (for me) the hot water stopped working and I didn’t manage to have a shower. Called the reception twice. First time they assured me that the hot water would have come back after 10 minutes, as the technician was there sorting out the problem. It didn’t so I went out for dinner. Came back and still wasn’t working. So I thought to wait the morning after. Guess what, still not working. Called the reception again, of course they didn’t bother letting their guests know that the hot water wasn’t working. They said the technician was there and had just arrived. When I pointed out that that was exactly what I’d been told the day before, they said that the first technician wasn’t a good one (??). They called me back ten minutes later saying that the hot water was now working. It wasn’t, and I had to go to the airport by then. Went to check out, saying that I wasn’t happy at all. It seemed to me that they didn’t really care about these kind of issues, especially when the man at the desk said “these things happen there’s nothing I can do, it’s not my fault!”. Oh dear, he offered us a discount for next time if we book directly, but I’m not coming back, am I?!!

Pros: The location is great, less than 5 minutes walk to both the central train and bus stations and around 15 min to the center. The staff was extremely polite and kind, they even prepared some sandwiches for us past midnight when we arrived from Florence after our bus was delayed, since all other supermarkets and restaurants were already closed. I strongly recommend this place!

Pros: I wish I could give this place a better review. The room was very comfortable and they had great freebies, more than just the usual shampoo. And the breakfast is excellent (although we were there early, around 7:30), even though some others have complained about it when arriving late. However, it was over 30 in Bologna and muggy when we were there (even at night!) and the thermometer in our room was showing 29 when we arrived. There was no point trying to turn it up as the A/C is controlled by the front desk. Yikes! Never heard of such a thing before, but it's true. The temperature only decreased by a degree that first day. The second day was even worse--the A/C was "broken" and only repaired late in the day. Of course none of this matters if you happen to be visiting outside the summer months...oh yes, almost forgot. The electricity went out in our room altogether on the third day, but was taken care of promptly when we notified the front desk.

Pros: Modern, fresh, clean rooms. Everything worked well. Breakfast quite good. We've been traveling in Europe for 6 wks and this is by far the best hotel value found.
Cons: Room somewhat small, but typical.

Pros: Not much... except that it was right by the train station... which is good and bad at the same time.
Cons: It was overall pretty dirty and with a bad small... we got the “spa room” ... expensive but it looked pretty old and situated in the basement... without phone in the room, no toiletries, nothing to comfortably enjoy the sauna, no plugs in the bathroom, the mini fridge was unplugged, insomma... un disastro... ! The staff was not too friendly and couldn’t help us with anything, the coffee in the room expired in january 2019...

Pros: The location, it’s about 20min waking to the city center. But 5min walk to the train station.
Cons: There’s no blackout curtains (they were broken) the toilet is full of mold. You can’t control the heating yourself. The tower was full of hole!

Cons: The hotel is on a main street, my room was on the first floor facing the street hence there was very loud traffic noise. The room was extremely hot. I was told by the staff that the ventilation system cannot be used until mid-April and my window was broken. When I asked to be moved to another room, I was told they were too busy. Not a nice stay at all.

Breakfast was really bad. 2 types of croissant, one type of bread and two types of ham. No vegetables, very bad, dry and cold scrambled egg. That was all.

Pros: Friendly reception, with the exception of the breakfast place, I was literally thrown out of the place because I took my little dog with me and was unaware that it was forbidden. I am very much ok with the fact that it is forbidden, but the way how it was done was a shock for me. No breakfast for me that morning. Otherwise we truly liked the hotel, in the middle of Bologna, great parking, just perfect.
