Cons: Can't think of anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this place is absolutely incredible, from the location to the room to the home cooked Scottish breakfast. Beautiful bed and breakfast in a perfect location. Nice relaxing and comfortable lounge areas and quiet comfortable bedrooms.
Cons: Didn't have much of a view from my room but I spent most of my days out and everything else about the place was lovely so I really don't care much about the view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good. Extra home-baking available in the evening to have with coffee or a choice from a wide variety of teas was an added bonus. The supply of books and games in the sitting rooms would keep anyone occupied should the weather be unfavourable (which it wasn't in our case).
Cons: Only negative comment was that the extremely clean wooden breakfast tables were sticky to the touch ... I can only presume that this is caused by the special products regulations require to be used to keep surfaces hygienic.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The team were very friendly and lovely breakfast. Great lounge spaces
Cons: Not a lot of space in the room

Pros: Wow! What a stay! Our hosts Jules & Carol were fantastic, they cared about us from the moment we made the reservation, helping to tell us about the local area. The room was available for us to arrive a little early and drop off our bags. We were met by a large spacious room with fantastic views across Lamlash bay and towards the Holy Isle. Breakfast is very generous, and you were truly spoilt for choice daily, with fresh ingredients and a great choice. I don't think I have ever eaten so well whilst on Holiday. As for the location, you benefit from a central location in Lamlash, the whole island is only 56 miles (80km) around, so everything is reachable in an hour, however many local food options available within walking distance in the evening.
Cons: Leaving

Pros: We loved this charming B&B. The location was excellent, only 3 miles from Brodick, ferry connection to Adrossan on the mainland, Lamlash is an attractive village on the coast with several eating places within easy walking distance. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful and couldn't have done more to make our stay more comfortable. None of us is a vegan but we all thoroughly enjoyed the lavish breakfasts, which were beautifully presented and more than generous. We also appreciated the fresh fruit and little treats in our rooms each night. It was a bonus to have use of the lounge in the evenings and the balcony before breakfast. Many thanks for our stay on the beautiful Isle of Arran.

Pros: Almost everything. Firstly incredible views of the Holy Loch, Very clean, comfortable, luxurious and just recently refurbished. The bathroom with rainfall shower was amazing. Great to get a washing machine and somewhere to hang clothes. The grounds were amazing too. Slight downside no private outdoor space as on the 1st floor but there was plenty of outdoor space. Pros: Location & kitchen were very good. Reception staff allowed us to store food in advance for our walking group so it was there on their arrival.
Cons: Staff were a bit unprepared when my walking group arrived early. Also the hostel was mainly full with families and individuals - not really a ‘youth’ experience.

Cons: The showers, while clean, have no space to put cloths and dry off properly and the upstairs ladies' loo doesn't flush half the time.

Pros: Fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff. Room with a view over Lamlash Bay towards Holy Island - lovely.
Cons: Nothing to criticise.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent, first rate breakfast and wonderful evening meals. The location could not have been better, 10 mins from the ferry terminal and a great view of Holy Isle from our balcony.
Cons: The bathroom was on the small side but not a deal breaker.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful clean spacious room and one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. The location and scenery (front facing room) was stunning. The restaurant and bar were great too, menu suitable for all.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: My only small complaint was the bed was not comfortable
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice view from room and bathroom was lovely. Breakfast both days was very nice and dinner was also good.
Cons: Low and slanted ceilings in room and over stairs, kept hitting my head even though I tried to be careful! No where outside to wash off the dog and light grey carpets throughout so I felt bad taking the dog through the hotel all the way to the top floor.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, room had balcony with a view to the Holy Isle, road in front was quite busy with traffic, stopping to visit the Co-op which was next door, would annoy some but we liked the "people watching" loads of dogs playing on the green! small boats moored in the bay. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, where we enjoyed dinner and breakfast.
Cons: The room was a great size with plenty of space the only big downside was the size of the basin, you couldn't even call it a hand basin, far too small, for normal use! which resulted in floor being soaked, even although the shower room was small a slightly larger basin could have been fitted.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast excellent Location good . Room quiet and clean
Cons: Room Assigned too cramped for a double room Bed was up against the window. Duvet a bit too small
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Deliciously cooked and presented meals. Tasteful modern decor. Suite with seaview and balcony great . Busy but helpful and friendly staff. Will recommend hotel.
Cons: Would have liked a box of tissues in room and reading lamp in sitting area and light for mirror over dressing table. Very busy staff so room cleaning a bit rushed during stay ? No major faults just needs tweeked.
Auchrannie Resort - Brodick - Building

This hotel has facilities measuring 0 square feet (0 square meters), including a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting, location, facilities [TWO swimming pools!], decor and staff were all very good. My family [eight of us] agreed that it was the best British hotel we had ever stayed in.
Cons: Can't blame the Auchrannie for the incessant rain - that's the West of Scotland for you! And that meant we used the very comfortable sitting rooms for more card and board games than we'd expected.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The resort is located a short distance from the main area of Brodick. It is quiet and set in its own, immaculately kept gardens. We stayed in a double room and, as we had our dog with us, there was a water bowl and treats waiting for us on arrival. The room was very clean and comfortable with a superb, luxurious bathroom. There were two main restaurants that served a wide range of well priced meals. Although dogs aren't allowed in these restaurants each one has an adjacent room where you can eat and have your dog with you. There is a well equipped gym and two swimming pools as well as other activities available.
Cons: Although only a minor gripe: the dog friendly area in the "Brambles" restaurant is a bit soulless and, as we were they only people in there at the time, we tended to get forgotten; we ended up cutting short our meal after the main course because we didn't want to wait any longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Views from many parts of hotel....sat in one of the many little lounges near our room after dinner with a lovely coffee/drink before bed. Staff all very friendly and efficient. Just a very calming and charming atmosphere throughout the hotel etc.... Hope to return.
Cons: There was nothing negative !Relaxing
3.7 Mediocre
Cons: Walls were paper thin and could every single step outside the door and every conversation above, to my left and to my right. Food was over priced for very average quality. Stuffed mushrooms are a flobby joke. Pool temps are far too low and the Sunarium was broken
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Loved that I was able to schedule a last minute spa treatment! The shuttle to and from the pier is very very helpful. The staff were great - very accommodating. The pool and spa that come with the hotel stay are perfect!
Cons: Only one stressed bar tender made ordering drinks a bit difficult, but the rest of the staff were great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a lovely setting and it's very relaxing there.
Cons: Didn't dislike anything.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The recent refurb of the Leisure pool sauna and steam room was Fantastic, The staff at Brasserie were Fantastic especially the bar Manager she couldn't be more Helpful at Dinner , little added touches went down well, especially when you wouldn't think of these things yourself
Cons: For supposed to be a Disabled access room it wasn't enough room for a wheelchair, yes the Doors were bigger but be bed was in the way, the Decor was great but the Furniture was very out of place for the room, the part of the Hotel we were in didn't have 24hr reception,
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location if want to get away and nice beach close by,
7.9 Good
Pros: The facilities were wonderful, especially the spa pools, saunas and gym. The staff were great and very helpful. The restaurants are pricey and the options for vegetarians are limited, but the food was okay.
Cons: We found our ground-floor room a bit stuffy. There was only one small window which was fixed so you couldn't open it more than an inch, and the view was limited. The bathroom was big but lacked a bath and the light switch was outside (no interior light or light above the mirror). But that might have been because our twin-bed room was designed for wheelchair access.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The retreats are exceptional! We come every year to the lodges and can’t recommend it enough.
Cons: The waiting staff knowledge of the food in Brambles restaurant was limited. Excellent service otherwise.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant service and lovely presentation.
Cons: Bit pricey but probably worth it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting, fantastic food, pleasant and helpful staff, we had spa treatments this morning they were amazing. The spa is one of the best I’ve been in. So relaxing and luxurious. Thank you auchrannie and staff

Cons: The narrow winding lanes up to the property weren't the best!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly hosts, lovely location, clean and tidy
Cons: All ok nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent - there was such a wide variety of things to choose from, from a full cooked Scottish breakfast, to a light, Continental style breakfast. A selection of fresh fruit was available too, along with yoghurts, cereals and pancakes.
Cons: Everything about the accommodation was great ; the only thing we weren't too keen on was the walk back up a steep hill from the village to the house! But the views from the house were just lovely!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly & considerate hosts. Delicious breakfasts. Fabulous location & views.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely refurbishment, great location friendly staff lovely dinner with gorgeous view, excellent breakfast. I had single room which was excellent of its kind but should have booked bigger room with sea view - will do next time
Cons: View at back of hotel needs some TLC- some areas are outwith the remit of hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were delightful, extremely efficient and well-trained. The food was excellently prepared.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food & dining area. Comfortable beds. Good heating & ventilation. Prompt maintenance when towel rail reported not working. Staff generally very friendly and helpful. Good, varied menu with reliable wines. Good base for touring Arran generally, bit less so for mountain access.
Cons: Room only average. No walk-in shower. Poorly designed bathroom - especially toilet roll holder. The Standard Room had only 1 desk chair with plenty of space for a second easy chair but one did arrive later on request after making a poor 1st impression. Poor TV reception. Little wall decoration. Couple of staff were abrupt/over-efficient eg sweeping things off the table before you saw them coming. Sometimes over-chatty with guests or with each other at the bar while not observing we were ready to order coffee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great food Great breakfast
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great sitution
Cons: Staff were OK but some ( a few ) could have looked smarter and smiled more
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location on the coast good, breakfast buffet had good selection (though hard to see how options to order were done as staff only interested in clearing plates). Dinner OK, big portions. Nice coffee room overlooking water.
Cons: Room (23) was over bar and whilst had a sea view we could hear the bar music below. Bike shed was unlocked when we got to it, which was a bit concerning. Breakfast service was rushed and plates taken before finished.

6.7 Good
Pros: The staff were delightful.
Cons: Our bedroom had only 1 chair, the shower in the bathroom was tiny and there was no shelf in the shower for soap or shampoo. We could feel the metal springs in our mattress on the bed which was not comfortable. My wife's main course for dinner on our first night was Duck. She couldn't even cut through the meat let alone eat it but was still charged for it. The menu lacked straight forward good food.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast choices. They had vegan chocolate spread and I was able to Have porridge with oat milk. Would be good to have a decaf drink option in the room as it got a bit expensive buying decaf coffee at the bar. But having said that next door to the hotel was ‘Velo’ cafe which again catered for vegans with dairy free milk options and vegan cake. Room lovely warm and comfortable. There were lots of charming places to sit and read or socialise. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Cons: The kitchen extracter was quite a pervasive noise in the room but this was turned off each night after the kitchen finished around 9pm.
6.7 Good
Pros: Beautiful setting
Cons: To far from the main facility
7.9 Good
Pros: staff, bar/restaurant , location, nice scenic walk to beach straight from hotel
Cons: Whilst I understand the hotel was built in the 1700's and increased in size over the years one has to expect a degree of 'tiredness ' but the staff, and all that has been mentioned above makes up for such a mediocre dislike.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very quiet location in the countryside and hospitable staff
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The sun room overlooking the garden was very pleasant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic spot. Beautiful scenery, excellent food and friendly staff. Family run hotel and very accomodating.

6.3 Good
Pros: Quality of food was good.
Cons: Room 6 above kitchen fan. Noisy till 9;30 pm and from 7:00am. Apparently this is in the room description somewhere but I didn't see it when booking.

Pros: Right on bus route
Cons: None

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room, lovely view, nice familial atmosphere from staff, gorgeous gardens, delicious home-made breakfast.
Cons: There is a Saturday night disco each week at 10 - we didn't hear a thing but maybe not right for all though it's very much part of the community ethos of the place.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Good breakfast choice, and very good musli.
Cons: Room and bathroom very small. Outside generator noisy so had to keep window closed.
9.6 Excellent

4.6 Okay
Pros: Where it was situated
Cons: Size of room was very very small with the eves, cosy room was an understatement, every time we made a tea or coffee in the room we banged our head. None of our bedding was changed in 4 nights and the first morning we had a shower they left us with the same towels for the next morning and we had to ask for them to be changed. However the food was lovely and so were some of the staff. Perhaps if we had a larger room our start would of been more relaxing. We love the island but unfortunately we didn’t have the best stay in this hotel. Feel it was a bit over priced at £143 per night.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room on top floor facing the sea. Quirky design to fit into roof space but good quality decor. Staff were excellent. Food was good to excellent.
Cons: It would be petty to find anything to complain about.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Breakfast as expected. Beautiful, tasty meal in the evening. Warm comfortable room and bed.
Cons: Batteries in remote held in by tape. Dripping tap in bathroom. Not what we would expect for the price of the room. A little noisy in the evening, although we did have window's open as no fan had been provided in the very warm weather.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Poor customer service
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, welcoming hotel on the front of the bay with views to the Holy Island. The bar /restaurant is well presented. The menu is somewhat limited but the quality of ingredients and execution was first class. I was left wishing for a few more Scottish "bangers"on the menu, perhaps more fish, shellfish, crab, lobster etc.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everyone and everything staff were friendly rooms so clean and comfortable and a great view from the window where you had a seat and binoculars
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous breakfast and loved the freshly made shortbread in room.
Cons: Room was pretty small. Only stayed 2 nights but would have been an issue if longer.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Yes the bed was extremely confortable
Cons: Nothing

Pros: The special porridge was not so special as it was last time I stayed. In general the food was less good.

Pros: Location was close to the ferry terminal but far enough out of town to avoid the bustle
Cons: Would have liked the bathroom to have been en-suite
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. Evening dinners were excellent too.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location, excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place to stay. We stayed here during the Highland games. Good breakfast as well.
Cons: The top bunk beds hard. Mattress was thin and could feel the wood slats beneath me. Otherwise it was an excellent stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Waking up to the sound of the sea in The Corrie Hotel was really special. Staff were friendly and helpful and the whole atmosphere of the hotel is welcoming. The building has been refurbished to a good standard and the bar area, lounge and conservatory are all big spaces guests can use. The bar has good red wine and real ale. The food was good and the fish was really fresh. The room was clean and staff let you be I.e no banging on the doors by the cleaning staff so you can have a lie in. We saw sea birds and a seal swimming from the window. Would definitely recommend.
Cons: We liked everything.
7.9 Good
Pros: Waking up to the sound of waves was a real treat, really peaceful. Love the bar downstairs, food was great and the staff we met were all lovely. Brilliant location. Would stay here again but would have to choose another room.
Cons: Our shower didn't work, constantly changing between boiling and freezing water. This was our main issue. Have since read a review from our room (19) that had the same issue previously. We were told it'd be looked at but wasn't fixed unfortunately. The hotel did let us use the shower room along the corridor though, which saved the day as we were on Arran for a wedding. The room was really small, with a tiny window that you had to cover with a wooden board or a fiddly blind. A little bit claustrophobic. But again, we'd definitely come back but would probably go for a different room. :-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderfully relaxing and comfortable hotel in a delightful location. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is also good value.
Cons: Nothing

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Anne is a fabulous host and makes the best Scottish breakfast ever.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location very near the sea and easy to walk into Lamlash. The room was very clean and comfortable with a nice en-suite bathroom. We also liked the large selection of board games.
Cons: There is a dog who doesn’t like people with rucksacks. I’m nervous around dogs and never go out without a rucksack, so this wasn’t ideal, but the owner was pretty good at keeping it out of the way. Some more veggie options at breakfast would have been nice too (eg veggie sausages), rather than just the regular breakfast with the meat removed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, friendly host, freshly cooked breakfast, like staying with friends.
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: Clean and tidy room. Good location in Lamlash.
Cons: Beds were a bit soft. Breakfast was basic. No wifi connection on first day as we were given the incorrect password. Initial greeting wasn't as welcoming as it could have been.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The bed was so comfortable that it was hard to get up in the mornings! Anne has a dog and a cat, which I loved, and the location of her home is in a very quiet neighborhood that's a short, beautiful walk from town. I felt very relaxed and comfortable here and hope to come back.
Cons: I had a little trouble getting the shower to work, but since there was a tub I just took baths. It wasn't a huge problem for me.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, great shower, excellent breakfast, friendly host
7.1 Good
Pros: The B&B was a convenient base for mountain walking and touring the island.

7.5 Good
Cons: The photos did not represent the accommodation. The photos highlight a decking balcony with the sleep hut lodges. The huts were chosen specifically for this reason. On arriving, there is no decked balcony which was a disappointment. The accommodation was also a lot smaller than the photos suggest.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location. Parking on site Cookhouse clean and appliances all in working order. Pizza tray ,corkscrew, and large glass bowl would have been useful
Cons: Nothing really
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and great facilities.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was beautiful however we weren't quite prepared for the walk up to the property. Very steep but that's more to do with how unfit we are! Despite this I would still stay here again. Good value for money and the staff are very friendly and helpful
Cons: Nothing we didn't like but the walls are quite thin so can hear people going back and forth. As long as you have considerate neighbours though it shouldn't be a problem.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Price
Cons: Not what we expected. This property is better suited to a young active group rather than seniors.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, the facilities were also great. Lovely and cosy little place.
Cons: The bed headboard kept on making loud squeeky noise even just sitting on the bed with minimal movement which was a little embarrassing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The small huts are very cosy and well kept. The common kitchen and diningroom are also very convinient. I liked it there.
Cons: It is a 10 to 15 minutes walkingdistance to the bus. It is uncomfortablein the rain.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. Not huge but large enough for a comfortable overnight stay. Draft-proof, despite the howling wind and with a very effective electric radiator which warmed the room up really quickly. Kettle, tea, coffee, milk and shower gel were provided. The communal kitchen was very well equipped, too - much better than expected.
Cons: Bring a torch as walking up the steps in the dark and trying to read the room numbers is a bit tricky with no external lights to guide you
9.6 Excellent
Pros: No meals with Sleep Huts but kitchen facilities were available if you wished to use them. Room was spotless.
Cons: Bed was too small. We have a king size at home and it is so comfy.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The welcome
Cons: Bath in en-suite

6.3 Good
Pros: The views were spectacular. You could get straight onto the beach. The bed was comfy.
Cons: The menu was dull and the food uninspiring. It would have been good to have been greeted when we arrived. The barman we eventually found didn’t know where our room was. It was lovely to have a balcony but it was dirty and festooned in cobwebs. It seemed tired and obviously no money will be spent now, as it is being turned into apartments.
6.7 Good
Pros: Bar staff were great. Room disappointing. Delux only due to view which was spoiled with an abandoned caravan in adjoining field! Nowhere to hang full length clothes ( dress/ suit for a wedding) and no fridge! No designated doggy bins despite being doggy friendl. Location beautiful.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Very basic. Could have been better
Cons: Very limited menu for evening meals - given that the hotel is a bit out of the way it was a pity that good evening meals were not available. Very disappointing.

Pros: The view, bar and food

Pros: Excellent view. Right on the beach. Brilliant as we have a dog. Loved the fact we could take the dog. Breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly.

Pros: Excellent breakfast and more than enough.
Cons: No fault of the hotel but didn't like the hill up to it.
7.9 Good
Pros: Friendly host who made my stay very welcoming, full hot breakfast with continental style on offer too, very convenient as it's a short walk to Ferry.
Cons: Breakfast could have been a wee bit earlier for people going on the Boat but apart from that everything was really good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A good spacious room with large, comfortable bed. Tasty, filling cooked breakfast. Good quiet location, a short walk from the town centre, ferry terminal and bus stops. The owner was friendly and welcoming despite the fact that we were badly delayed arriving in Brodick because of train disruption.
Cons: Nothing specific.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location of this place is absolutely perfect, especially if you're getting off the ferry. It's a one minute drive or a 5-minute walk. We had the room with a double bed and it was super comfy! The room itself was massive and plenty of furniture and we even got our own private bathroom. Our hosts were extremely nice and attentive, they texted me before i went over asking what kind of bed I needed. They even warned me that our ferry was going to be running behind. They didn't mind that we were coming in a bit late either.
Cons: I can't say that there was anything I didn't like about my stay. The only thing I can really knock is that the place needs a bit of TLC, it seems a little run down. The property is up for sale and I think that with new owners they will most likely do a refurbishment. But that's all it really needs, it was a lovely stay.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for ferry and local shops. Good shower, nice cooked breakfast :)
Cons: Bit on the pricey side :/
7.1 Good
Pros: Very good breakfast good location 6min walk from ferry terminal, little rock fantastic food and staff had to wait in queue to get table but well worth it.
Cons: Shower enclosure bit mouldy at the edges, had problems with electric but owners did all they could to get sorted as quickly as they could.Arran's bus service is terrible be aware if travelling without car as we were.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: I We only liked the location.
Cons: Place was up for sale. The property rundown. Inside needing refurbished.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast Decent shower Good TV Good heating Good parking area
Cons: Not good towels No pen to complete breakfast menu No alarm clock in room
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Close walking distance from ferry terminal. Part of the walk is up hill though. Close to hotels and shops in Brodick. Very cosy and safe( female solo traveller) Breakfast was delicious and my gracious host Charlotte prepared a breakfast pack for me as I was leaving early.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly welcome from Charlotte, lovely big room with en-suite, comfy bed and a good location, close to the ferry terminal.
Cons: Nothing!
