Promised me a standard car(Jetta) before taking my cc and drivers license. Tried to up-sell me to an import luxury, I refused. He dropped me down to a compact car and said “He can do anything, he can even give me economy” I refused to proceed with the rental and went elsewhere.Reviewed 17 Feb. 2022

The car I got smelled like cigarette. It was the first time with budget that I got a car that was not squeaky clean. It's usually top notch. It also had trouble starting in the cold.Reviewed 15 Feb. 2022

Pros:The car was new and clean.Cons:We waited two hours in line at the airport to get the car, Budget and Avis are very badly organized, there were about 20 clients waiting for 2 employees. We got there at 7pm and only left with the car at 9pm...Reviewed 19 Aug. 2019

AVIS COUNTER SERVICECons:the service at the counter was really bad, there was a line with 30 people waiting to pick up the rental and only one agent was there doing contracts, and no manager to talk to, also when returned car they charged for milage I never drove when I ask the agent why he told this is from the computer and if I don't like it I could come back another day when the manager is back, overall service is bad and I would not recumbent Avis or budget at Montreal airportReviewed 6 Sep. 2018
