- Website say location of “economic” in the airport, but “economic” is not in the airport, I walk with my family during winter for more than 30 minutes. Website say false information - Ofice of “economic” is a old and small house without chairs for the customers - Counter person is very rude, don’t have training in customer service - Counter person was asking me pay $45 per day for insurance, but I never pay insurance because I have insurance car in Canada for my cars. Finally I show a proof of my insurance and pay $60 for the 5 days of rental. - I rented a Toyota Corolla or similar but I finally received a big car (KIA Carnival) with a hight gas consumptionReviewed 16 Mar. 2023

The only thing to like was that compared to other rentals, the signing of documents was quicker. Everything else was a hassle and you always felt like something was going to go wrong. Very inconvenient location relative to the YUL airport and did not have the right car.Reviewed 13 Feb. 2023

Pros:To deal with Economy Rent A Car is a headache. I forgot I had had a bad experience back in 2016. What rental car company closes at 7pm?Cons:My family's arrival time was affected by a cancellation by the airline. There was NOTHING we could do about it, and were able to get on the next flight to Montreal, arriving shortly after 7pm. When we were booked on the later flight, I called Economy rental car to let them know of our new arrival time. The person who took the call told me that they close at 7pm and they would not wait. I asked him what I should do, since we rented a mini-van to haul our entire family, and he told me to call any other rental car company at the airport. Do you have any idea what a mini-van rental costs same day? I checked online, the prices were $400-$500 more.......When we arrived at the airport, the new company we chose gave us a good rate, and said they stayed open till 2am!! It was my mistake to ever select Economy, and I WILL NEVER use Economy Rental Car EVER AGAIN.Reviewed 19 Feb. 2018

THIS IS A SCAMPros:Never received my reserved vehicle.Cons:This place needs to shut down as soon as possible. Nobody should reserve a car from here. Others have written about similar experience. We never received the car we reserved. We took a taxi to the address in the confirmation email and it was abandoned. Strike one. We took a taxi to the address provided over the phone by Economy, the three of us in the car with smart phones couldn’t locate it. Strike two. I called multiple times asking for either a refund or for someone to come to our location and pick us up. I was hung up on by “Sam”. I’m pretty sure that’s not his real name since he wouldn’t give me his full name. “Sam” must have been hired off the street. I don’t know how he has a job, I hope he doesn’t anymore after cursing me out over the phone. We had to take a taxi back to the airport and rent from an actual establishment.Reviewed 7 Feb. 2018

Total rip off don’t rent it from themCons:The car was priced $77 for two days but been charged $190.30 for two days.They ask you to get insurance from them otherwise you can’t take the car and you end up paying insurance and other hidden charges more than the car rent.Even the insurance was basic which I took from them.Never get the car from them you will regret it and will be shocked like me to pay the heavy bill.Reviewed 1 Dec. 2017

All you need to know about this company is their Google rating of 1.1Cons:Hidden charges. Waived all insurances (since I have it on credit card) and still got charged for TP claiming it's mandatory in QC. Non of other companies charge it if you waive everything.
