Jon, who was working at Hertz actually, was amazingly helpful and kind to me when I got in late. He is one of the most friendly people I’ve dealt with in my many years of traveling for work. I don’t want him to leave that desk, as he’s so wonderful at dealing with customers, but that man deserves a promotion. And if not that, a raise. The lady at the MKE counter told me there were no cars and she was closed, but I was able to get a reservation online, so she then said “I told you we didn’t have any cars, why did you do that…just a minute, I’ll ask my boss” I waited about another 15 min and then she said into the phone “oh great, it’s a one way”. She then said “well, I guess I have to give you this car” So I said, “oh, I’m sorry, you don’t sound happy” and she said, “well I’m losing a car ma’am”. I used a Petal Visa (secured) card to reserve this car. When I picked it up I was rudely chastised for the use of my Petal card; told I cannot use it, I need a name credit card. I don’t have a name credit card. I have an 824 credit score and plenty $ in the bank. Luckily I have a debit card of which if she told me once she told me 5 time $500 would be charged to that card to be returned upon drop off pending damage to the car. Thru all this there are many others in line to pick up their car. Awful!! I know for fact other auto rentals take debit cards just fine. Frankly I’ll think twice b/4 using Dollar again.Reviewed 16 Feb. 2022
