Pros:One of the agents working was very professional, but overall our experience was poor.Cons:While technically the location was near the airport, it is not on site as advertised. It's about two miles away, which you'd never know because you have to allow between one and two hours to get to their rental office from the airport as there is only one shuttle. The office is in a terrible neighborhood, the facility is dirty, and the customer service was overall mediocre. Our car hadn't been cleaned, but they had no other vehicle for us and since we'd been waiting nearly three hours to get this car, we took what we could. The tire pressure was low, there was dirt on the floors and ceiling, and smeared blood on the driver seat upholstery. Our return flight was cancelled which resulted in us having to fly out of Sacramento, and when we looked up the location of the EZ return facility at the Sacramento airport, we couldn't find it - apparently they closed their desk there and never told anyone. Thankful for the manager of Enterprise who was able to handle the situation for us so that we didn't miss our flight. This was a comically poor experience - save yourself the hassle and try not to even think about this company's existence while looking for rental cars.Reviewed 17 Oct. 2019

No way to contactCons:I reserved a car for a week. Due to medical reasons, I could only pick it up on the 3rd day. I tried contacting the number given on the reservation (a SF number) and was told by the E-Z Rent-A-Car representative that they don't do anything; I need to work with They gave me a phone number. The phone number was a private person, completely irrelevant to anything. All I wanted is to secure the pickup later - I did not expect money back. However, I could not do it and therefore lost more than $300 - never got to get a car, although fully paid. I clearly will never use E-Z Rent-A-Car again.Reviewed 13 Jun. 2018

Initially poor, then remediated!Pros:The drop off process and shuttle to the airport was very smooth. This increased my experience a lot.Cons:Upon pick-up, they didn’t have the type of car we had reserved available. They offered us a free upgrade - Yukon XL. This was generous of them but also more convenient for them. We didn’t want to drive around downtown San Fran with a giant Yukon XL. We also would have paid a lot for gas - not what we signed up for. We initially took the free upgrade and then pushed back to get a smaller vehicle. Even a SUV would’ve been okay. After asking three times, they finally remediated the issue and offered the care we had reserved.Reviewed 8 Dec. 2017

Worst everPros:Rude staff, middle of NOWHERE, and the longest line I’ve ever seen at a car rental spot 45 minute wait!!! I had an urgent business appointment to attend but nobody on staff could help me out. Will never EVER again use this company.Reviewed 6 Jun. 2018

HorriblePros:Drop off was fairly simple.Cons:First of all, it took 2 hours to pick up my car. Secondly, the car was supposed to be a “non-smoking” car, yet it REAKED of not only cigarette smoke, but also marijuana. So much so, that when I went to my business conference that I flew in town for, I was getting dirty looks and was approached by multiple co-workers asking if I had been smoking (and I’m a non-smoker). I will never rent from your company again. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!Reviewed 5 Apr. 2018

Pros:Car was reasonable for the advertised inexpensive price.Cons:Horrendous customer service. Currently fighting a $100+ fee for fueling even though I dropped the car off fully fueled. Can not contact the location directly, their customer service help line is utterly useless. The on-site employees were rude, lazy and unhelpful.Reviewed 25 Mar. 2019

Pros:Not much.Cons:Wait was long. Car was older, smelled of smoke and then broke midway through the rental. Phone assistance was horrible. Had to drive back to rental car location to get a fix, but was met with poor customer relations. Will never rent with them again.Reviewed 8 May 2019

Incident at Pick-UpPros:The car itself was great, clean and in good condition. I enjoyed driving the hybrid version of the Toyota Highlander, as it helped save on gas and was nice to drive.Cons:I had a horrible customer service experience with this company. When I went to pick up the car I was with my boss and the front desk agent to me I had been flagged as an "undesirable renter". They told me that my driver's license was showing that I had rented with them before and that another man had been on the account as an additional driver and were flagged as "undesirable drivers". This was 100% not true, I have never rented with them before and not only was I embarrassed in front of my boss but I was worried someone might be using my identity to rent cars, or worse identity theft issues. They were able to bypass the flag, let me have the car, and give me a customer service number to call and follow up with more details about this claim. Needless to say this took quite a bit of time, not to mention the extra time I spent that night running a credit report because I was worried about identity theft issues. I called to follow-up the next morning and they told me they had no record of this claim. I was still concerned about why the front desk was showing something different so they told me they would send an investigation to their corporate office and I would hear back within 24-48 hours. It has been 4 days and I have not received any kind of follow up on the issue. It's safe to say that I will not be renting from this company and am very disappointed in my experience.Reviewed 12 Feb. 2018
