Pros: Not an issue for me, but you should know there is no lift for the upper floors :) The breakfast was pretty cool, the staff nice. They even provide a lunch bag which is sort of cute. Bathroom was pretty new and clean.

Cons: The room was nice and clean, could be just a bit more cozy somehow to fulfill the bigger picture of the hotel. The rest was fine, no reason to complain.

Pros: The breakfast selection was excellent. They also offer free packed lunches, although I wasn't close enough to the hotel at lunchtime to try that. They also give free tickets covering public transport in the VRR area, which represents a considerable discount on the room price if you are not using a car. Wifi reception is good.

Cons: Although there are four floors there is no lift. It don't bother me but if you have difficulty climbing stairs it could be a problem.

Pros: Very warm staff, the room was very clean and nice, it was very quiet - it had a view to the inner garden, the hotel is 20 meter from Rüttenscheider Stern Metro station and from there only two stops to the Main Railway Station and city center, the main street of the quartal Rüttenscheid is also there and there you have also everything you need. Overall it was a wonderful stay.

Pros: This was one of the most pleasant stays I've ever had in a business hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very rich and tasty. If I ever have another trip to Essen I'll make sure I get a room at Maximilans' Hotel.

Cons: Nothing. Really, I'm absolutely serious. I guarantee you! Okay, well since i need to write a litte bit more: The room could have been a liiiittle bit more spacey. But I'd consider this the last percentile to a 100% perfect stay. Or maybe only 0,5% off of 100. You get the point.

Pros: It was so clean. The rooms appeared to be almost new. Only really used it as a base to travel. But it was very nice.

Cons: Being woken by a cleaner coming in the next morning at half 9,and then being woken again at half 11 to say that checkout was 11 which I was never told the previous day,but apart from that was good but I will definitely look elsewhere next time

Pros: This was my second time staying at the Hotel Maximilians and I really can’t praise it enough. The rooms are well equipped, very comfortable and immaculately clean. The breakfast is excellent and well worth the cost. The staff are also extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Cons: Wifi was actually not available in the room, which turned an unpleasant surprise, as the hotel declared availability of free wifi in the rooms and public areas. The lady at the reception could not fix the problem. Failed my plans to work in the hotel:) Not all the personnel speaks English.

Pros: This hotel is in a quiet location but within easy walking distance of all the restaurants at Rüttenfeld.

Cons: The only reason I didn't rate the hotel as excellent was that this time our bathroom was very small and the maid had forgotten to put toiletries in the room. By the time we noticed it was too late to speak to Reception.

Pros: A nice looking house/hotel in general. Staff was very friendly and everything was pretty clean. Breakfast was good as well.

Cons: Noises in the hallway were kinda loud in the room and not really damped. Also the WiFi wasn’t really good in the room that I stayed in.

Cons: The staff caused us several Problems. They didn’t call the taxi we asked 3 Hours in advance and we were Late to the wedding we attended. They didn’t Tell us there would be no one in the reception at night and when we came back from the Wedding at 1am we had no keys for our room. We had to find it ourselves by searching reception (!) (Took us half an Hour) or sleep in the street. Hotel telephone didn’t work during the night (Imagine an emergency and no one to contact ) and nobody came when we used the reception bell either. The window had no courtains and was broken, wouldn’t close, After 5:30 our baby had no more sleep. At 9am the cleaning lady Knickes on the door. We asked to wait a second so we open but she ignored it and entered the room immediately which was very uncomfortable. When confronted with this problems they got defensive and didn’t give any Solution. They need to learn how to run a Hotel!

Pros: Rreally good location, a lot of small restaurants/pubs in neighborhood for warious wallets. I usually sleep in hostels, so it was werry diferent. Own bathroom, no snoring peolpe around and privat space. Really soft bed, some place for my stuff, desk with chair was helpful, couse just wanted to paint a little. Clean bathroom witch towels. Breakfast buffet not rich, but enouch.

Cons: I had a room next to reception, so if anyone wanted something from receptionist, I heard that terrible bell, over end over again to midnight, and day after I couldynt sleep longer, couse kitchen stuff awaked me. I suggest to ask about room further from the ground floor. I think wifi should be stronger, even in hostels is better nowdays. Oh, and nosy fan in bathroom drove me crazy, especially that was working half hour after turning off the light.

Cons: It was fine for what it is. Hotel says parking but it is not free no close especially at the weekend. Could be more transparent on website about parking system.

Pros: Location is the town centre so easy for shopping and food yet its quiet. Very clean and comfortable. Small Fridge in room. Dog friendly and didnt charge extra which is amazing. Definitely a good find. Recommend. Had a lift.

Cons: Very basic. They do not supply extra beds for children so I slept with my 7 years old daughter on a single bed.For the same price we had 3 beds room and very nice hotel in Leipzig the night before.

Cons: It has been two years now and the elevator has not been fixed. To me this is unacceptable. Room 40 is too small without a wardrobe and the mattress is like sleeping on Neale board.it should be replaced
