the breakfast buffet and that the internet worked without any problems
This a great location with a nice cafe downstairs. It is at the end of a long pedestrian walkway in Heidelberg so very convenient. This old hotel is renovated with beautiful rooms and new bathrooms. There is no lift and no air conditioning, usual for most places that I stayed, but there is a fan and helpful staff for carrying luggage.
It was a bit noisy at night, maybe due to World Cup.
I arrived at the Denner Hotel on May 17 according to my reserved schedule. On May 18, due to the British Airways cabin crew strike, I had to change my reservation to 4 nights instead of the five nights originally booked. To my surprise, the lady at the front desk said they would charge me 80% of the fifth night, which as far as I am concerned is unheard of in any hotel establishment. I did not cancel my booking, it was not a case of no-show; I simply reduced my stay in one day and they charged me almost the full price, just as if I had canceled my reservation according to the cancellation policy described on the Booking.com website.
Excellent central location and some good service from staff
The room cleaning service was slow only cleaning the room at 3:30 in the afternoon, the curtains in the room were broken and an order for eggs at breakfast never arrived one morning.
The breakfast was lovely. The room was comfortable.
Bathroom was too small, hardly any room to move around. The breakfast staff not to friendly.
Friendly atmosphere. Good food /Drink.Clean. Convenient.
Quirky and very nice hotel with great location, very friendly helpful staff and lovely cafe gecko
Short ride from train station to hotel and great location for shopping, castle, bridge and churches.
The rooms are very cosy, the breakfast is very good, and some of the staff is very very kind
Receptionist were not always there when you need them. It looks a bit unorganised.
