Pros:Long, long lines, 1 person at desk, no one answers the phone for 2.5 hours. I was 10 minutes late because of traffic/surgery got charged a full day.Cons:ANSWER THE PHONE!! Hertz's customer service is nonexistent!Pros:Kayak's price. The car was the model promised.Cons:When I went to pick up the car the Middletown office closed to run errands. It took an hour for then to return. Then the computers were down so they copied down my credit card info which made me uncomfortable. Then they just sent me to get my car which needed to be washed with no walk around. On Sunday the office is closed. I want to see about extending my car rental for one day and change my drop-off location. It took 2 hours of being in a loop with the reps telling me to just drive and have it figured out at the drop off. I was afraid of the charges and had a supervisor helped me. Customer service is so bad I am not sure I will ever rent from Hertz again.Reviewed 27 May 2017

Rental carPros:Fairly convenient locationCons:I went to pick up the car 15 minutes early. No one was there. I went to run an errand and came back. Had to wait 1/2 hour for my car to be ready. It seems like if there's a reservation for 9am then the car should be ready if I come back after 10, it shouldn't just be getting pulled out from behind other cars and cleaned up while I'm waiting.Reviewed 24 Feb. 2017

Hertz has a no smoking policyPros:Overall our experience was good. The car was clean and in good condition. The staff was pleasant and took car of me in a timely manner. I would use this place again.Cons:My only complaint was that our car smelled of cigarette smoke. I don't blame Hertz for this as they have a no smoking policy. Inconsiderate people who smoke in the cars make it a sickening experience for those people that don't smoke. There should be a penalty for smokers who don't follow the rules.Reviewed 24 Feb. 2016
