I waited an hour and a half to pick up the rental car. Hertz appeared to be understaffed as demonstrated by the other people waiting who stated they also had been waiting for over an hour. I missed a wedding rehearsal due to waiting for the rental car for so long. Another person waiting said they were very late for work. The employee who helped me was friendly. Hertz, please make sure you staff enough employees on a Friday afternoon so folks are not waiting over an hour for their rental car.Reviewed 2 Sep. 2021

Pros:the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the car was newish and well maintainedCons:the car was not ready even tho I arrived 2 hours late to pickup. a jeep compass is not a mid sized suv, its a crossover... much closer to the Nissan Rogue than the Pathfinder it has been driven on dirt roads and was very dirty on the exteriorReviewed 21 May 2021

Tried to charge me more than the agreed upon ratePros:Desk person was courteous and tried to help resolve my issues. Pick up and drop off worked well.Cons:The person working the counter was courteous and helped me work through the issues. One issue was resolved successfully, the other was not. The issue that was resolved was the price: the counter tried to charge me a rate 33% higher. When I showed the agreement from Kayak, the person needed to call management to give me that rate. Eventually they did. The issue that did not get resolved was the type of vehicle. They had economy and SUV's on the lot...I paid for an intermediate. They chose to downgrade me to the economy instead of upgrade. The vehicle was also dirty on the inside and outside.Reviewed 7 Mar. 2017
