When I picked up the car the "Low Tire Pressure" light was on. I figured I would just add air to the tire, when I got to my destination. The next day the tire pressure was down to 16lbs of pressure. I observed a slow leak in the tire. I then drove to the Enterprise office, where they told me they had no other cars to give me. The Enterprise employee (who was very helpful) arranged for a car to be towed from another facility. After sitting in the car and waiting for three hours the car arrived. I don't blame the employee, she was excellent. I can't believe that Enterprise depletes inventory of vehicles, in case something occurs. Adequate staff. The line was 2 hours long one person working while all the other rental companies had an average of 3 people working with no lines. The car provided was not as ordered , we ordered a fill size SUV and was given a 7 passenger kia with no room for luggage and could barely accommodate three car seats. After standing in line for 2 hours I took the car as we still had a 2-hour drive ahead of us. When I called 50 they were closed. I called them the next day and was put on hold for 1 hr and 15 min trying to get them to deliver me a different car. I never spoke to anyone and the call was dropped after waiting that long . We never got the car as ordered and they are still trying to charge me for the full size SUV. I will never rent from them again or Dollar.8.0 Very good

The agent at the counter printed out the contract that was three times more expensive than what I expected to pay. I had to explain to him multiple times that I didn’t want the more expensive insurance. Eventually he corrected the contract and charged me what I was supposed to pay. They gave me a car that broke down half way to destination. They then hung up on me twice after I was trying to tell them the car wasn’t working. On the third call, they basically had no idea what to do and finally figured they needed to call a tow truck. But now I was being told I had to come back with the car in the tow truck. Meaning I had to wait up 90 minutes for the tow to arrive, and then ride an hour back to Boston, pick up a new car and drive another 2 hours to where I was going. The car battery died at some point during all this and it was below freezing. I asked at least two employees if I could leave the car where it was at with the keys inside, so that I could head to another rental agency and just move on from there, and both said yes. I then get a phone call from a number that’s not even associated with silvercar saying that if I leave the car before the tow arrives I’m responsible to anything that happens to it. At that point I was already in an Uber on the way to an airport car rental. They had no idea what they telling me. They eventually got the car back. And I don’t know how, but they were going to charge me 4 times more than what I agreed to, because the guy at check out kept accidentally updating my reservation and adding more days to my reservation. That probably wouldn’t happen anywhere else, because this place is trying do all their business through smart phones. They are at least reimbursing me. And whoever the female worker was on Sunday during the whole situation was totally rude.Cons:

NOTHING!!!!! I sent a text to the number to have my car brought to me. I was informed they weren't taking 3rd party reservations and that it didn't matter that I had a confirmation number. The person on the other end was less than friendly and was sarcastic. I did receive several "We apologize for the inconvenience". My reply was "An inconvenience is me having to wait 15 minutes for my car to arrive" to which they replied "well have a nice day" Which I replied with an angry emoji and let them know I was given the a poor review and would NEVER use them again!Cons:
EVERYTHING! An actual car when I arrived, you know, the one I reserved! The fact that this company could've cared less about me being stranded in Boston with no means to get to my destination. This is poor customer service on steroids. I rent a car just about every week for my work since I'm constantly traveling. Hertz made the mistake of giving away my rental because I was 30 minutes later than I had said I would be (my plane was delayed). It was spring break and they could charge another customer more. I have never rented another vehicle from them or their affiliates. That was almost a year ago. I have now placed Silvercar on this boycott list. Thank you AVIS for coming to my aid and helping me get to my destination. Not only did they have a similar vehicle, but when I explained what happened, THEY honored Silvercar's price! The counter pickup experience is very slow, with the process sometimes taking 20-30 minutes for a single customer as they try to convince them that the insurance and extras are worth it. Our flight was changed due to a storm and when I called Advantage, the phone agent said as long as we picked it up within 24 hours of our original reservation, the car would be held for us and no changes needed to be made for the reservation. However, when we arrived, with our young children who had just traveled by plane, the car had NOT been held for us and we'd been marked down as a "no show." When we told the agent at the desk (Alexandra Garcia in Boston) that we'd called ahead, she said we could pay extra for a more expensive car, but she took no responsibility for the problem and was incredibly rude.
