Pros:THE CAR WAS A DODGE CHARGER WITH LOTS OF OPTIONS.Cons:WHEN WE PICKED UP THE CAR THE FEMALE AGENT WAS GETTING SNIPPY WITH A CUSTOMER ON THE PHONE. AFTER SHE WAS DONE WITH THEM SHE WAITED ON US AND GOT A LITTLE SNIPPY WITH ME. ALSO SO THE TIRES ON THE DODGE CHARGER WE HAD WERE COMPLETELY UNSAFE DOWN TO THE WEAR BARS. I DID NOT NOTICE THIS UNTIL WE WERE ON OUR WAY BACK. when I RETURNED THE CAR THE DIFFERENT FEMALE AGENT WAS VERY NICE.Reviewed 16 May 2017

Cons:Our flight in Chicago cancelled. We were unable to change the pick up location from Peoria to Chicago We were stranded in Chicago at night. We had to get another car from Chicago to Peoria and then the next day go get our Kayak rental in Peoria. We paid for a day we did not use. The other problem was booking through Kayak there was no opportunity to cancel. We will never book another car through Kayak.Reviewed 27 Aug. 2018

Cons:On May 5, 2017, I pre-paid $285.15 for this rental car. When I picked it up on June 29, 2017, I give the clerk (Raquel) my pre-paid reservation receipt and she asked for a credit card (and said it was just for security deposit). When I returned the car as scheduled on July 12, 2017, the clerk asked if I wanted a receipt. It was then that I realized the rental agreement was put on a previous made (and supposed to be canceled) reservation and I was charged $401.46. THIS (SAME CAR) WAS PRE-PAID!! When I asked the clerk to remove the charge, she said that she could not. I called the billing department ... PLEASE REMOVE THE $401.46 ASAP!! I have been a Hertz Gold customer for over 30 years and I'm now very dissatisfied!Reviewed 13 Jul. 2017

Cons:Apparently they close at 4pm on Saturdays and the clerk was extremely rude because my flight landed at 407pm. She had a major attitude problem.I will never rent from Hertz again. I'd pay extra and go somewhere else. Also, she didn't go over the vehicle with me and once I got to the car it had scratches and dents. I made sure to take pictures with a time stamp so I wouldn't get charged. And yes, they do put a $200 hold on a card and take their sweet time releasing the funds back to your account.Reviewed 8 Mar. 2017
