Pros: Easy pickup and drop off
Cons: additional cost of gas and the sales person spoke to fast to understand

Pros: Easy to find rental counter at Sanford. Quick drop off site, with easy walk back into terminal.
Cons: Hertz employee had condescending, critical attitude.

Pros: Person that took care of us was great. Realized my husband was disabled. Went and got car.Gave great directions to The Villages. We would rent a car again from Hertz.

Great car rental company - bad associates
Pros: Car was in bad condition but it was a basic Hyundai Sonata, total price was $40 for three days.
Cons: Hertz is a good name in rental business. Last time I rented a car from Sanford (Orlando) to Detroit (DTW). The car was dirty and scratched all around. The front passenger tire had only 15 psi (should be about 40 psi) and was bleeding air. I asked an associate in Sanford (Orlando) Hertz location 05/05/17 at about 6:30 PM (his name was John) to help me with this safety concerns - he rejected to assist and even to hear me! I think that this gay should be fired from his position.

Pros: Car was okay!
Cons: Counter personel and support staff Were not at counter, then three arrived all together from outside after waiting for good 10 minutes at Sanford Airport in Florida. A preferred member arrived! They took him first. Then told me I booked at off site and would have to take a taxi when the site said I could walk! Then wanted to charge a $60 fee and when tried to get a refund from site I supposedly book at a guy with initial of first name J HUNG up on me! Then went back to counter and got customer service who was variation of wait and push 123456 for help! Went back to counter and customer ahead of me had same issue as I did! Charged him $60! What a SCAM! Beware of this booking they give you off site and charge more when get to airport counter it is a scam! They have you cause you prepaid! Then get to car it is a mess of dings and dents paint missing and I was told guy at gate will make notes at gate! He was less than interested and I told him get out the paper! Then said we were on video right and he said Yes! I went around the car pointing out issues! He was not amused! He finally did get form lying right inside his door! Then made note of a bumper that was glued and loose! What a mess! He said it had already been fixed! I said if someone gorilla glued my bumper and callled that fixed Is ridiculous! Not on my dime make note! He was pissed to make the notes! Car ran a blue Toyota Yaris! Drop off was fine and simple! But scam ya with off site deal and was told they reimburse you taxi ride to other site but they did not tell me that! Lone female returning a car at 4 am I am not taking a taxi! I would not even know who to call! No thanks! Will I rent again from them! Last resort! Shelby was the best at the counter! Give her a raise!

Pros: Easy process for the rental. the price was awesome saved a lot of money.
Cons: My experience was fantastic.

Cons: Stood there for a few minutes before anyone came to the desk so that I could drop off.

Cons: asked for a chevy but got a nissan versa, people in back of me didnt request anything and got a chey. My car was dented & had number stickers on the dents! no one would tell me how to do any early morning drop off so I just left the car in the lot with the keys in it and my gas receipt, hoping it was ok.

Pros: Staff was pleasant.
Cons: Car had been smoked in prior to our rental and was awful to get into after being shut up for awhile.

Easiest drop off ever
Pros: My flight was delayed over 2 hours, arriving just before midnight, when the Hertz counter was scheduled to be closed. I had called ahead and was assured that they would be there until the last flight arrived, and they were. With a very courteous and helpful attendant ready to get me on my way.
Cons: There were 2 sets of numbers marking the spots where the cars were parked, one large set facing the cars and a smaller, less visible set under the covered walkway between the rows. It took me a few minutes of looking for F7 to find the 2nd set of numbers and then locate my vehicle.

Cons: I booked the car and paid before I got to Florida. When I arrived in Daytona airport I realized that I had accidentally booked the car for the wrong town . I do not know how but I did. When I asked the guy if I could switch it . He had me call Hertze so I did . They said that I could not and I would have to find a way to pick up the car 50 miles away . I said I don't know how I'm going to do that . Would I be able to cancel it if I need to . And while still trying to figure out what I should do . I decided I would have to take uber or a taxi and pay the 50 mile trip to the car . So I said I will figure out a way to get there . They said they canceled the car and now I would have to rent a car for 600 more on my card . And that my money would not be oput back on my card for ten days . I did not have the 600 on my card . That is why I prepaid . I did not have a car for the 7 days in Florida. I am really upset about the way I was treated By the people on the phone ... not everyone can whip up 600 on the spot for a car . I would never pay 600 to rent a car in the first place !!!!! I most likely will not be using hertz rental on my upcoming trips that I have planned ! Really not happy about it at all

Never will rent from Hertz again
Pros: The vehicle was decent but had stains on seats.
Cons: I got charge another $50 when I picked up the vehicle and was charged another $200 security deposit. That was not in my Vacation budget and put me out that much more money and honestly did not get to do everything we wanted because of that. On top of that they said well you can go to another hertz here in town and wont have to pay that I was livid because it was already 8:30 pm and I couldn't get another rental if I wanted to. They also wanted a couple different cards and wanted to run a credit check. This all should have been taken care of well in advance. Very disappointed!!!

Could not reach them
Cons: I tried several times to call the office and left messages that were never returned. We wanted to pick the car up at the Sanford airport FBO. I eventually sorted it out after landing, but we are used to having the car at the FBO when we land. Still don't have a receipt and I need to figure out how to pay for two tolls I did not expect to encounter. Think I should call them and leave a message?

You sold me a rental I would have to take a taxi t
Pros: they already had a plan this I think, it bet it happens a lot. the sucky part is I had to pay 40% more than original payment.
Cons: I guess i did not read the fine print? you guys really need to clear about what your charging for... and what the average person needs to know on renting a car. i do like surprises and willing to pay for an upfront, less stressful experience. next time I will try calling a rental place directly.

Cons: When returning (Sanford Int Airport), there was no Hertz representative as it was too early so the guy accepting all cars told me to park the car in line behind the Hertz sign. I parked the car and was not familiar with what i should do with my keys, or if the car should be locked. I put the keys in the seat and continued to my flight to find a sign all the way at the front of the 12 car line that said leave the keys in the ignition. The information should have been provided by the man at the entrance or a sign further back.

Pros: The day of my rental they called me they had a van or an expedition and wanted to know which I would prefer I picked the expedition and was real glad I did It had room for 8 of us.

I cancelled the rental and they charged me anyway
Cons: I accidentally made the reservation for Orlando Sanford International instead of Orlando International. At the counter, the Hertz employee was rude, gave me no options or solutions, and said she couldn't help me. I called Hertz in Sanford and they at least told me they would help me cancel my reservation. Unfortunately, I was still charged $50 on my credit card for the rental that I didn't even use. They said it would be a full refund since I never picked up the car. Worst car rental experience I've ever had.

Pros: Very impressed with the cleanliness of the vehicle...but even more impressed with the gas mileage! For being late at night, the staff was friendly as well.

Cons: Apparently there is a new policy where if you use a debit card, you need TWO forms of ID. I don't typically travel with 2 forms. YOU failed to tell me this in my confiration email. Hertz failed to tell me that when I was on the phone with three different agents. Their on hold message only said debit cards are subject to credit check. I was not able to even get my car.

Great all but
Pros: Ease of getting the car. Great car. Ease of drop off. After talking to the right person the problems I had were fixed. I had to call the national number then local number but it was taken care of to my satisfaction.
Cons: Being charged for pre-pay gas when I said I didn't want it. IT was connected.

Pros: Price was good, providing there are no surprises yet to come.
Cons: Sold as Sanford Orlando Airport. Pickup was actually well offsite. Had to pay a taxi $25+ for the 5 of us to location. Had to pay $5 extra to drop at airport. No attendants of any kind at drop off. We just left the keys, at the direction of agents at other rental agency counters, who said "Oh, you're ok". Bizarre first rental thru Kayak as well as through Hertz. I doubt I will do either again.
