Hertz was by far the worst experience with a car rental I have ever had. Poor service, poor communication; was called day of to be told that there were no vehicles left at pre determined location, when I had a pre paid reservation. You can't get Hertz on the phone when you call. Vehicle was banged up bad upon pick up. I will never use Hertz again. Probably will be filing a complaint with BBB regarding other details. Cons:I went to pick up the car, they had hours up to 3 pm posted at the counter for the Saturday 11/28/2020. I was there just a few minutes before 3 pm. Nobody at the counter. Could here music playing in the adjacent employees room, and a personal bag was sitting in the counter chair. Knocked on the employee door twice and waited until 3:15. Couldn’t get assistance or a car. Looked up hertz rental and one was open till 4 pm near the airport in Tyler. Drove to this one before 4 pm, but it was closed also. Therefore wasn’t able to obtain a rental car to get me to Dallas love airport by 4:00am Sunday morning,. so required family member to drive 200 extra miles Sunday morning to go out of there way to drop me off at the airport . It would be better to have your places open to the times they post they are.Reviewed 30 Nov. 2020

Pros:I would like my reservation honored. I needed a car. I had a reservation. Everyone there waiting had a reservation. We were all left stranded. We did not even get a cancellation. The hertz crew was home for the day. They left five hours early.Cons:Be open. Honor your reservations. Keep open during your business hours. If you want to make it right you can pay the $25 cab ride into town, the $90 I was forced to pay at the hotel and maybe the cost of car rental from Enterprise.Reviewed 5 Jun. 2019

Pros:Friendly and competent (and quick!) counter staff. It's a small airport and easy to get around in, and the car rentals are a short stroll outside the door. Counter staff warned me about getting on Toll roads, because in TX, the customer gets billed for the automatic toll collection system (through car's license, I think). Cons:That We did not need the car by morning time and when I cancelled with Hertz, they could not help me with a refund. Very risky business if you prepay for your car,(something I realized I did afterwards) I will never use this sight again. It has been 4 days and I still have no refund .Reviewed 10 Feb. 2017
