Pros: Room is clear and comfortable, friendly staff.
Cons: The hotel in general is getting old, rooms are small compare to newer hotels and the mable bathroom is getting dated. It's just the harbour view and the location which makes this hotel perfect... but there is definitely some 'up to date' work to do.!

Cons: Staff were rude. They couldn't find my reservation. Waited 45 minutes for them to sort out the problem (their reservation system did not like I booked the hotel 3 hours before I arrived). They could have at least offered a drink or snack or something instead of making me stand around waiting for them to sort out the problem.

Pros: We had room service and breakfast was very good- we could enjoy it in our nice corner room overlooking Victoria harbor-very comfortable and a good selection for all our different tastes
Cons: The buffet is probably very highly appreciated but we are a la carte people really so we found the selection a bit limited- we only have dinner at the hotel because of the rally at night in Hongkong this time. Otherwise, Ruth Chris steakhouse is our regular dinner place in this part of town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about it.
Cons: The breakfast buffet price. A bit steep, but delicious.

Pros: Good location
Cons: We got an extended check out until 3pm as we were holding a wedding reception there. We went back to the room after the banquet at about 3:15pm and were surprised to find out that the cleaning ladies were already starting to clean the room before we check out. We were concerned as all the wedding gifts were still inside the room.

Pros: Well I left the hotel after 1 night to the Hyatt. Incomparable in all ways!
Cons: Overpriced, room to small to open the bags of 2 people. Cheaply designed room. Extreme pricing in the bar and room service. Far below par. Let's say it's a 4 star hotel that is applying prices of a super fancy 5 star

The rooms were spacious with good quality toiletries. The daily buffet had a huge variety of foods catering for all tastes. Very convenient to the local MTR
Cons: The bed was very small - and not particularly comfortable due it being only Queen size Despite being on the 32nd floor, we could still hear all the outside noise from the cars to the construction work outside the hotel

Pros: The location was pretty good. Room was quite clean
Cons: Staff should be educated and retrained. The receptionist (girl), dun know if she was a trainee or what, definitely making guest upset with her attitude and impoliteness. Stay in a premium room. The bathtub was terrible with small white broken pieces. I paid more for the bathtub as they dun have one with standard room. And when i complaint about it and request for another room with better bathtub, the girl staff's attitude was disgusting and impolite. More disgraceful thing was when I was about to reach my room, two cleaner were discussing it and not happy with the request, feel like they were complaining about the job to clean up the room?? Please retrain and educated your staff. Those who are handling a room shift from 1308 to 1304 on 3 Dec.

Pros: This hotel was incredibly peaceful but nonetheless very convenience to access the city and even the airport. The staff, especially housekeepers, are very responsive and supportive. I prefer to stay on the higher floor so that I get a nice view of the harbor, and also, peaceful. Cleaning service is superb. I felt like I was in a new room everyday. Here's some tips that might be useful to you, - Fortress Hill MTR is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. MTR allows you to travel most of Hong Kong with affordable price. - From airport to the hotel, simply take A11 but and take off at 'Electric Market'. This costs you HKD40 per person, It takes around 80 minutes, but why hurry?, it is good to sightsee HK along the way. - From the hotel to airport, catch A11 at the bus stop in front of Fortress Hill MTR, same price same travelling time. Many goods restaurants nearby. For breakfast, I recommend 'Congee Wonderland', best of all.

Pros: This is definitely a luxury hotel; it looks and feels like one from the amenities in the room to the lobby and the available restaurants in the building. The location was great because of its proximity to the MTR station, which is one of my personal favorite things about Hong Kong so I didn't mind. It's not within real walking distance of tourist attractions or downtown in Causeway Bay or Central, but the MTR and hotel shuttles make it very easy to get there. The breakfast buffet was particularly good and reasonably priced (compared to American hotels). Seems like a nice place to host a business event.

4.2 Okay
Pros: The door staff were the most friendliest and helpful out of the entire hotel.
Cons: Upon arrival, we received one of the worst hospitalities we have ever experienced especially in regards to our special wedding day. We chose this hotel because of its gorgeous decor and romantic atmosphere. Unfortunately, the check-in clerk did not acknowledge our special day at all. We did not expect any special treatments at all but to pay almost $3000 for a night to feel unwelcomed and a burden was very dissatisfying. Instead of a friendly, welcoming to the hotel, we were reminded multiple times of the importance of keeping the room clean and to be honest, the room given to us was not worth the price we paid. It was close to the elevator, noisy and between two tall buildings blocking natural light. Whereas the room one of our brides maids had booked, had a high floor and a more beautiful view with cornered windows for HALF the price we paid. Overall, we were completely dissatisfied with the amount we paid and received the worst hospitality from a hotel we ever experienced. My husband used to be a front desk manager and he was completely baffled by the lack of acknowledgement to make a couple feel special and welcomed on their big day. We weren’t even told about any of the restaurants in the building, nor lounge use. We had to come down and ask about where to have breakfast and the front desk clerk just replied, “breakfast is over.” Overall, for a five star hotel, this is very disappointing and is over rated.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Impressive hotel, in terms of infrastructure. The breakfast place is impressive, as well as the food selection, it’s very fresh. Staff is kind and speak great English as expected.
Cons: My only complain: the room carpet! It need a renovation quickly. It damages all the room look&feel, as well as the overall experience as its showing signs of wearing out and looks just kind of filthy (even though it might be “clean”).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is definitely a luxury hotel; it looks and feels like one from the amenities in the room to the lobby and the available restaurants in the building. The breakfast buffet was particularly good and reasonably priced (compared to American hotels). Seems like a nice place to host a business event.
Cons: We had a great stay, but a lot of it was due to promotions. Our room had free wifi and we had a special rate since I booked far ahead of time. The wifi signal could be stronger, and the TV channels were a bit limited. There was construction next to the hotel, which somewhat took away from the otherwise nice view of the harbor. The view did have a highway between the room and harbor though, so don't go in expecting a harborfront room.

Pros: Being so close the harbour and water-front facilities was a big bonus. Walking distance to all of down-town was fun. The hotel felt very secure during the riots. A 10 minute ferry or tube ride and you can be in the city.
Cons: That we had to leave so soon... we would have liked to stay longer and we will return for sure.
6.2 Good
Pros: Had a convenient place to stay in Hong Kong
Cons: (1) given the handicapped room. The basin was too low for washing (2) The second day after the room cleaning of room 765, 2 women’s underwear were found (3) room 755 had bloodstain on the beige bed underskirt. (4) only one elevator worked as the other one under maintenance- major waits and inconvenience as had to wait a couple of trips due to it being full (5) cockroach in the elevator near the pool (6) the green clean room special only offered $50 hkd on the buffet... nothing else.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: First off we booked for 10/21-23 and my email confirmarion and screen shot of booking all confirmed this. When we went to check in , they told us that booking was for 11/4-6. I showed them the confirmation then they told us we needed to take the issue up with kayak. After arguing for 3 hours(i dont give up) they finally gave us the room. The hotel is NOT a 5 star (1star) and the pictures are MISLEADING. Theoughout the stay the staff was awful. The hotel is also filled with mainlanders which makes it extremely noisy and crowded. Avoid avoid avoid. I couldnt take another day so in the end I booked the shangri-la.

Cons: Safe in the room didn't work at all, and looked like it had been tampered with
Small lobby with a ton of bags left by other guests, with minimal security and the bags out in the open
Toilet was chipped and cracked
Shower door didn't close fully, and the hot water took forever to come out
Overall, pretty shabby decor and facilities for the price paid. I'd recommend Lanson Place Hotel over the Regal for any business travellers.

Pros: This hotel is very well situated in Wanchai. It is just moments walk from the MTR and easy to get a taxi as well. It is not a luxury hotel by any means, but it clean and relatively comfortable. If nightlife is in your plans, you are at "ground zero" for the club scene in WC. Staff is efficient if not overly warm. I have stayed at this hotel and for me it always depends on the price. If I get the room at a good rate, I will stay, if not there are other hotels in the area that are more competitive.

Cons: No way this hotel should be rated as a 4 stars hotel . The bathroom is tiny and outdated ! We called the reception to ask for 2 extra bottles of water (very small size)and the reception girl answer that there will be a charge 10$ for 1 !
7.4 Good
Pros: This hotel is very well situated in Wanchai.
Cons: When I first stayed here 8 years ago, the hotel was showing signs of wear, now it is firmly planted in the "dated" range. The pubic areas are fine, but the rooms could use a make over. Again, it all depends on the room rate as far as value goes.
6.0 Good
Pros: Decent location. Close to the station, bars and restaurants. Staff friendly.
Cons: Very small room. Small bathroom. Gym not up to scratch, photos show a bigger, better gym.

Pros: Very good location - 5 minutes walk to Star ferry.
Cons: Room was very compact with little room for people or luggage. Dinner buffet was expensive without voucher reductions.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great food, friendly service. A good selection of meals. We had breakfast every day, which we had paid with our accommodation. We also socialised in the bar with snack type meals and of course drinks.
Cons: The size of the rooms, the very small cupboard and drawer spaces - entirely inappropriate for a stay of longer than 3 or 4 days. We had to live out of our cases.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is very convenient that I can go almost anywhere in different modes of transportation.
Cons: I was caught in the midst of the so called golden week when China mainlanders flooded the city. Noisy kids running around loudly talking parents filled up the hallway.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location is close to MTR.
Cons: Paid $---USD for the smallest room ever. Stingy amenities, dirty, old furniture/carpet, only 1 bar of soap. Disgusting view. The 4-star rating is misleading. Ppl have low standards. Don't trust these ratings. Disappointed! Couldn't wait to leave! Yuck!

But it is not on the free Airport Express bus connection route, and to get to the MTR or the tram is about a ten minute walk. The staff a re very helpful. The rooms are well equipped.
Cons: Note carefully the floor area. The rooms are a little small for a couple. There is hanging space but no wardrobe. We were lucky : we were given a room at the harbour end of the corridor, so we really did have an excellent harbour view across the whole width of the angled window, at a fraction the price of other central hotels. But only half the rooms are on that side; and, even on that side of the building, the rooms nearer the lift are in a recess between two buildings, so only by standing next to the window would you be able to get the view looking obliquely. If it is the view you want you have to specify your room carefully. Rooms on the other side of the building face a blank wall. I found the bed a little hard. But I am particularly sensitive to that.
7.0 Good
Pros: Well laid out and spacious room (with large wardrobe, desk, sitting area and luggage shelf), friendly staff, firm mattress, nice view of harbour, little touches like providing an adapter for overseas travellers, and a makeup mirror in the bathroom

Cons:

Pros:
Cons: Building is too old. Room is way too small. Don't provide enough towels and restroom supplies need. Room don't clean daily.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Booked a “superior city view room” which was basically a shoebox. Room was filthy, we told reception and they “upgraded” us. We booked a double bed, we got two hard as rocks single beds. Plug was stuck in the sink so no water drained, window didn’t open (was broken) and a terrible sewerage smell coming from drain. We checked out a day early because of this and we reported the issue to the staff, to only get a “you’re not getting your money back” and a “mm” to the reported maintenance issues. Will never stay at a best western hotel again.

4.2 Okay
Pros: The location was decent. Not great, but walking distance to decent public transport and if you took all the right turns you didn't end up in a smelly meat market. Nothing else was remotely good.
Cons: The room was tiny, but that was expected. What wasn't expected was the absolutely terrible mattress. If there had been enough floor space I would have slept on the floor rather than this bumpy, lumpy mess. The room smelt terrible. In the shower you had to choose between water pressure or warm water, you couldn't get both. The staff were abrupt, if not outright rude. I've travelled to over 100 cities and stayed in many, many hotels, including quite a few Best Westerns. This would easily be in the bottom 1% - other than a motel in Atlantic City where there was a murder the night we stayed there I honestly cannot think of a worse hotel experience.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: Staffs are not familiar in this hotel including service manager and the room condition is not the same with the information on the website.
6.2 Good
Pros: Reasonably priced, close to most shops and transportation.
Cons: Quarters are pretty tight... rooms are pretty old. TV is barely usable, but we don't use it that much anyway
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is convenient to subway and major shopping center
Cons: Hotel entrance is hard to find. Street is dirty. Lower level is hot, no air conditioning. Hotel furniture and fixtures appeared old. Need renovation. However, Compared to the price of other HK hotel, the money I paid was well spend.
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: Cheap price, but otherwise see my Con's to figure out why I didn't like this place. Security guy was OK.
Cons: Staff were rude. They checked me in early, but did not give me my room key because the room was not "ready" yet. Asked to come back after 3. OK, fair enough. Came back around 6pm (I could not make it between 3~6pm), and they made me wait in line behind a tour group of about 50 Chinese tourists to get my key. they had 2 desk staff members working. Ridiculous.
Rooms were dirty. Rooms also small.
Location is good to shopping. But if you plan on buying a lot of stuff beware there is no space in the hotel room to put it.
