Pros: This is a beautiful hotel in an elegant old building that was completely redone to creat the hotel. Courteous and helpful staff. Concierge services were excellent. Rooms are large and well furnished. Ten minute walk to the Jaffa Gate of the old city. Breakfast was included and was excellent.

Cons: The staff, for the most part, wasn't helpful. For example, it was a cold night, and when I called downstairs and told them the heater was broken--even the lowest setting made the room unlivable--the staff's response was to open my window. It was raining heavily with strong winds that night, so I pushed the staff person further, who finally sent up a portable radiator. The sheets on the bed were torn. The bed wasn't made adequately, so that I couldn't fit my body into the bed. The shower glass wasn't sealed, so that water leaked all over the bathroom. Several staff at the front desk were unfriendly.

Pros: Our experience at King David was overall good, but not as we expected and as we heard of it. The lobby and the room are elegant and well furnished, but they “smell” the ancient. The bathroom is spacious and well equipped. We had good dinners in both restaurant, event if the two location are not so smart. We suggest to try the Regent restaurant, very good. The fitness center, the spa and the staff working there were really nice and well trimmed. Breakfast is wonderful with plenty of brad, pastries, salads, cheese, fruit and more and more. But the service was very poor, slow and intrusive

Cons: Reception. Dreadful check in & check out. They stuff needs training. They are the "face" of the hotel and they are doing a lousy job. First they didn't find my name. I had to show them the booking.com reservation (Koren). Then they didn't know how to change the reservation from card to cash. Upon checking out; they printed the wrong bill. The lady checking us out reassured us that the parking was paid. Guess what, the parking garage didn't let us out... Only when the parking garage got on the phone with reception- the parking gate opened. Reception gets a 0 mark.

Pros: We thought we were staying at the leonardo plaza in King George street and not the leonardo hotel in saint george street! Bit of a shock. Having gotten over the shock, we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom needs updating as there was a chip in the bath and the part of the tap that changes the water from bath to shower came off in my hand! The breakfast was good. We were happy. I liked that the toilet was separate to the bathroom.

Friendly staff very professional service especially Islam, one of the hotel staff who helped us find a pharmacy for my mother. Clean and stylish rooms with all the required comfort items. Bathroom audio for music! Location is optimal close to Old city and local Jaffa St. Modern! Outdoor Jacuzzi was great! Will definitely stay here again! Excellent!

Cons: Noise during the night. They gave us a room near the reception. In the first day they did not clean our room. After insisting we received clean towels. The cleaning was horrible but all the hotels that we stayed there were the same. The shower does not mix correctly hot and cold water.

Cons: The front desk was staffed by a single person (who was courteous and helpful) who also handled incoming phone calls during the three nights we stayed which meant service wasn’t as prompt as hoped for.

Cons: The wet sauna has no facilities to wash the sitting benches before and after use. The lunch is incredibly high priced, especially for kids(300 shekels ?!, 400 for grown ups). As I reserved 3 rooms in some there were minor problems like tv out of service or plumbing faults.

Pros: An excellent staff made our stay particularly nice. We made a couple unusual requests and the professional staff at the American Colony stepped up without hesitation to provide for our needs. We hesitated before booking in this location but found it to be very welcoming and comfortable. The breakfast provided was also fantastic and diverse even by Israeli big breakfast standards. Our only less than stellar comment is that the selection of books and literature in the gift/book shop is very one sided and partisan. This shouldn't have been totally surprising but given the excellence and absence of political statements everywhere else it became noticeable. A great hotel.

Pros: The breakfast buffet was ample and very a very nice spread. The location is perfect. It's an easy walk to the Jaffe Gate and it's in a upscale part of Jerusalem. The staff was very nice and tried to be helpful. We did eat the soup special for a late lunch (all the soup and bread you can eat for a reasonable price) and it was excellent.
Cons: Our room felt old and in need of renovations. There were stains on the little couch. The bathroom was especially dingy. It didn't feel clean but I think that was because of the age and lack of renovation. There is no hotel bar; we are not big drinkers but it is sometimes nice to sit with a glass of wine in the evening before retiring. We tried ordering dessert from room service. They took our order and then called back 15 minutes later to say they were out of the chocolate cake and ice cream we ordered. They had nothing else remotely similar. We asked the concierge for directions to a particular site as our guide unexpectedly couldn't be with us that day. He showed us on a map where we could park our car and gave us an address to put in our GPS. However, when we got to the location there was no public lot there. We ended up missing the tour of the Supreme Court Building.

Although it isn't large, the swimming pool is warm, very clean and well maintained.

Pros: The beds were a definite highlight! Super comfy and we fell asleep every night the second our head hit the pillow despite jetlag. Another big plus was the huge breakfast (I’m vegan and enjoyed a full salad bar with multiple sprouts, fresh veggies and salads) although there were a ton of pastries, eggs, fish, cheeses and fruits for everyone else. The service was also top notch. I loved the pool, gym and sauna as well. The staff was super responsive and helpful. The bathroom/shower was awesome. The complimentary water in glass bottles was the cherry on top.

Cons: The main problem we had was the noise, which was unbearable even at 3am. Some families with kids ruined my sleep for both nights. I managed to sleep four hours per night, and I was tired and cranky. Apart from this (major) issue, I liked this hotel a lot.

Cons: They were doing construction so there was always lots of construction noise and dirt all over from construction. The elevators were in construction as well so never more then 1 elevator was in use for the whole two weeks I was there and that was a pain. They advertise 4 star but it was more like a 3 star American standards.
The staff were not as friendly as they could have been.

Pros: The hotel gears itself to the Orthodox or Hasidic Jewish clientele. The neighborhood is excellent. There is a synagogue on premises, and the hotel is very near to Zichron Moshe, a synagogue with practically round the clock services. We had the deluxe room. The room was clean, neat, and decent size. There was coffee in the room. The strictly kosher breakfast was excellent, with lots of variety and unlimited quantities. The front desk was helpful.

Pros: Location of the Prima Palace is ideal. Quick walk to Geula and Rechov Yaffo. Breakfast was excellent, and was open for long hours- 7 to 10:30 am. Room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: We came with 2 large suitcases. There was no staff offering to help us to our room.

Cons: This is an old hotel. Everything feels run down. It's clean enough but it's old. The entrance is in a remodeling stage. There is no way to get your luggage inside except to drug it through an uneven surface.

Cons: The main entrance (outside) was on maintenance and the entrance of the hotel was not well indicated. The parking lot is quite small for the size of the hotel. On the first day it was so difficult to find a place. The elevator are quite noisy especially when it starts to open every 10 minutes during the night (It could be a good idea to change the ring for a soft one !!) This hotel is an old type but a lot of work was performed to maintain it.

Pros: The room was large and not a far walk from many of the main spots to visit.
Cons: The heat in my room didn't work. I was staying for one night and it was 46F outside. When I got to the room at 10pm I waited a while for the heat to kick in. Someone came up to try and make an adjustment but it still didn't work. At this point, they offered me a two twin bed room because it was all they had left (I booked a double), but they couldn't guarantee the heat would work and refused to give me a refund since I didn't wait around another 20-30 minutes to see if the heat would kick in. I ended up having to dispute the charge through my credit card because the hotel was unwilling to issue a refund and booking.com offered me a 25% refund as a gesture of goodwill ????? Probably avoid. Unless the temperature is mild in which case, carry on.

Cons: We walked in to toenail clippings on the floor, hair clumps in the sheets , and rotting food in the corner of the room.

Cons: To start with ,the place had lingering nicotine smell although smoking is not allowed inside.That made me think the smoking area is not very far. There was no complimentary cup of tea or... something as a civil welcome.Thank goodness,I had a teabag in my handbag and I just asked for a cup of hot water. Air conditioner was not working. Bedside lamps were also not working. Not many options for breakfast...cornflakes,slices of bread for toast,white cheese and white yoghurt... you take it or leave it...that's it!! No placemats on glass table tops(I found that a bit strange)
