Pros: Rooms, Pool side, Restaurant downstairs, reception and bar area, reception staff

Pacific Terrace Hotel - San Diego - Building
3
9.2 Excellent (1,035 reviews)
C$ 537+
Overview Reviews
Dramatically perched above the white sandy beaches of San Diego, California, the 4-Diamond rated Pacific Terrace Hotel provides a front row seat to the ever changing world of the sparkling blue Pacific Ocean.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Our room location on the ground floor with walk-out access to the pool/beach was especially nice, but naturally this only applies to rooms on the ground floor with ocean-view / partial ocean-view. Staff was EXTREMELY friendly across the board, room decor was nifty. Location was convenient, minutes drive to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. Short drive to La Jolla. Lots of food/restaurant options within walking distance of the property.
Cons: Parking was a little expensive, ~$30/day, but likely not out of range for this area. Even so, underground garage was very convenient.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great!
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Dirty, no bar, no restaurant , way over priced, showing its age, pool so small and only about 15 Sunbeds!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly. We liked the location. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel wasn't too big and the parking was very convenient .
Cons: It was a little pricey but I imagine it has a lot to do with booking in the summer.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: One of the best locations on the beach. Not too crowded, but minutes to all the action. Breakfast buffet was very good. Free bicycles, free towels, umbrellas, boards for the beach. Very friendly staff
6.0 Good
Pros: Location was great.
Cons: Very outdated hotel and the room has very poor lighting.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent facilities, exceptionally clean, beautiful room, fabulous location. Friendly staff would couldn’t do more for you.
Cons: While it certainly warrants an uplift in price versus others as it has so much going for it - perhaps the uplift was just a bit much versus others in the area.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Staff were terrific and the service was good. The location was fantastic in a great spot. The room was large and comfortable and the hotel was at a good end of the beach. Close enough to the action but just on the edge of the action so not too noisy. We had a room with peak sea views which was nice even though we were on the roadside. The vibe is very chilled and relaxed. The decor was tropical island like a little tired however had a nice feel about it. The bonus with this hotel is the heated pool. The room had a great kitchenette in it with fridge and microwave. If you have a special diet it is ideal as you can go to the local supermarket and the kitchen area has items to prep your own food. The room service food was also good. We would stay here again.
Cons: The pool area was taken over by people not staying at the hotel which made sitting by the pool noisy and not very appealing with a lot of young men drinking in the pool. However the pool staff were friendly and very polite and service was great. The gym is basic and so is the breakfast.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy bed- slept like a baby!
Cons: The bathroom was very difficult to locate and open! Seriously improve this issue!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was so helpful. I’ve never had such great service ! We will definitely be back !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service was excellent! All staff went above and beyond to accommodate. From asking us if ever I was ok in the elevator to the servers saying “hope you stay was great” in the hallways.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was really wonderful. The room/bathroom/kitchenette was excellent, modern, clean and even the partial view room had an amazing view of the ocean/beach. The pool area felt like a resort and was great! Having the beach towels, umbrellas and boards provided was excellent - Thank you!
Cons: The fitness center was a bit disappointing - too small. Wish the cost of the room was lower.

Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Majestick. Beautifully furnished Common areas are spacious and clean.
Cons: Hard to navigate.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Relaxation pool!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Tired hotel, all staff seemed confused, lack of cohesion / working as a team. At the end of the day, this is more of a $250 a night hotel. No music at dinner, no service at the pool (dirty/used plates and glasses sat for hours), unhelpful check-in staff, and interior design that needs a SERIOUS remodel. Would NOT recommend this property unless you're needing to be close to the racetrack.
Cons: Everything. Top to bottom.
6.8 Good
Cons: Understaffed at pool
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff and location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property and it's relaxing environment, the proper management
Cons: One person named ASHLAN at the pool area, serving the guests, was extremely rude, many times refused to serve water and other things. She was frustrated to everyone and I reported her to the management. I hope she loses her job as it really impacts every other positive thing about this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very large beautiful room with patio that we read on. Very relaxing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked the cleanliness of the hotel. Also the attentiveness of the staff. They were very nice and timely in assisting guests.
Cons: A kid had pooped in one of the pools and it took a long time for the pools to reopen and we only had that day to enjoy since it was a short stay. Also, the first day when we went to the pool there was no service offered. It was around 4:30PM.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the property was great from the location to the service. I highly recommend this place.
Cons: Loved everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: great
Cons: the bed could of been a little softer

Pros: Minimal accommodations but included all that was needed. Nice decor, clean, great place to stay.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: European duvets, decor, cleanliness, cute items for sale, and casual feel
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Very clean hotel with extremely comfortable bedding. Conveniently located and great staff!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The price was great.
Cons: Everything was excellent
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was excellent, breakfast and eating area were not sufficient!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved how clean and comfortable the hotel was. The bed is seriously the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on including my $3000 mattress at home. The individual duvets were super comfortable prompting me to want to have individual duvets at home. I’ve never stolen anything from a hotel but I could’ve totally stolen the robes if I wouldn’t have been charged $150 a piece. The hotel was so comfortable it made it hard to want to leave and actually go explore the city. Location was great, walking distance to so many restaurants/breweries and the stadium. Parking was easy-did the offsite lot which was cheaper than valet ($15/day vs $45/day). Morning breakfast was just what we needed to get going in the morning. Staff was always very welcoming and nice and always had a bottle of water to send us out into the day.
Cons: We were there the nights of a couple of home games and the weekend. After the padres won it was REALLY loud outside when we tried to sleep. But not so much that we wouldn’t stay here again
6.3 Good
Pros: Convenient location. Traveling on business so the hotel was a 1 minute drive/3 minute walk to my office.
Cons: This is my second stay here. I didn’t like the bed. One of the duvets was ripped/had holes which I reported to the staff when I checked out. They were very kind and receptive to my feedback. In fact housekeeping staff member was standing there when I reported it. So she heard it first hand. I wish there was a top sheet on the bed. That would have made it more comfortable. Sleeping right under the duvet was awkward. But that’s just me. Thanks for listening to my feedback.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was super comfortable! Staff was amazing, very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!
Cons: Nothing, everything was fantastic! Would stay it again!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Bed, coffee, breakfast
Cons: I paid more here for 2 nights than I did at the Pendry which was a much more superior hotel Pineapple theme was too much, over the top.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a really cute hotel and we truly enjoyed our stay. The design and ambiance is awesome. On top of that it is a great value. Breakfast was very good.
Cons: It was a bit of a pain getting our car into the valet as it was very crowded and the attendants were not that helpful. We had to go over and get them to proactively help us get checked in. The only other issue is a single elevator for the entire hotel which did cause delays.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: We had to keep circling the block because there was no available place to pull our car up for valet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Walked everywhere; didn’t need to use car at all! We were upgraded to a suite, and that was really nice!
Cons: Rooms are a little on the smaller side, but that’s expected in a city center location. Not really a problem, though!

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about the hotel. The deck was spacious and beautiful along with being able to be able to walk down to the beach from our hotel.
Cons: It would’ve been awesome to have a snack store in the hotel but it’s not a deal breaker since there’s so many shops within walking distance. Also wish there was a hot tub or pool for days it’s cooler outside but again it’s not a deal breaker,
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Love the history and location of the hotel. Love the idea of the rooms surrounding courtyard but not the noise from it. Wasnt expecting room to have kitchenette. Didnt need it but nice for longer stay.
Cons: The room was above the restaurant courtyard with windows on that side of room so very noisy until it closed at 10:30 pm. Room was right above wait area and bar. In the am could hear staff working in restaurant area. Tub drained poorly and no ventilation in bathroom.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, fabulous location close to the beach, comfortable room, good facilities and a great price
Cons: Some noise from the restaurant but quiet by 10pm
8.8 Excellent
Pros: El Cordova is a beautiful hotel with an excellent location. We loved the colourful tiles all around the building, the swimming pool was great and getting chairs/umbrellas/boogie boards, etc from reception for the beach just added to all the fun. We loved the barbeque area next to the pool. The hotel staff very friendly and accommodating
Cons: The swimming pool was too warm (personal preference). Our room was located right in front of the restaurant - noise levels from guests waiting and eating there extremely high (guests sitting on our stairs leading to our room), then the restaurant staff will be cleaning and moving chairs/tables around late evening and early morning. I will definitely request a room away from the restaurant next time
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location! Right across the road from Hotel Del Coronado. 5 min walk to the beach. El Cordova Hotel is set behind some shops through a little walkway into a courtyard. It has a wonderful Mexican Restaurant next door, perfect as we arrived late & tired from Las Vegas.

Pros: Clean facilities close to everything. Five minute walk to the beach.
Cons: Our room was next to the restaurant. If we went to the pool in our bathing suits it was uncomfortable to walk past restaurant customers. Customers also used the stairs to our room as a waiting area. Noisy. I never will stay in that room again. Room 19. Avoid

Cons: Not the cleanest. There was debris on the carpet near the window. It appeared as if the sink wasn't cleaned prior to our arrival. Oh, and there was a long black hair on the bed. Neither myself or my wife have black hair.

Loews Coronado Bay Resort - Coronado - Building

8.9 Excellent (3,029 reviews)
C$ 367+
Overview Reviews
Perched on its own 15-acre peninsula, Loews Coronado Bay is a private oasis of tranquility. This Coronado hotel offers views of the shimmering bay waters and the San Diego skyline.
6.3 Good
Pros: Nothing stood out. Liked the fact that the property has tennis courts.
Cons: A number of things. First, unless you are really committed to staying either on the property or in Coronado or Imperial Beach areas, it is not a great location. Second, although the property highlights it has a large pool, there are many large people in the pool socializing reminiscent of a pool party for middled aged people in Vegas so it is not very appealing to venture into the cloudy and crowded waters. Third, being charged to use the business centre’s terminal if only for a few minutes’ use to print something off - probably a conscious decision to keep the large people in line and off the two terminals which would otherwise be overrun by guests(exception to the charge applies in respect of printing off boarding passes).
1.0 Poor
Cons: Beaucoup trop chère pour les prestations... tout est payant et les prix des chambres sont trop élevé.. tout ce paie à l avance à croire que nous sommes des voleurs.. mais sinon le personnel est très sympathique.en résumé c
6.3 Good
Pros: Meh
Cons: Totally overcrowded. Was a struggle for them to get the room ready when we arrived early. We provided advanced notice that our flight would arrive early... when we got there the attendant let us know they would assign ‘rush status’ so our room would be ready sooner. Not one employee could help me set expectations with my kids and we waited for 8 hours in the hotel before the room was ready. The hotel is also quite remote with nothing near the grounds within walking distance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place to stay and enjoy no need to go anywhere
Cons: Expensive parking and hotel fee it was $60 extra a night
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Super helpful staff
Cons: The private beach area is not very clean
5.0 Okay
Pros: The view of the Bay was enjoyable
Cons: They booked us into an extremely noisy Room with absolutely no privacy on the 1st floor and then charged an extra 40 per night for an upgrade to a quiet Room which moved us to the furthest point of the resort
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, comfortable rooms and views. Good food and lounge atmosphere.
Cons: A little crowded but I guess that's too be expected. Would've been nice to get free breakfast for the amount of money paid for the room. $30 per night parking fee to self park
5.5 Okay
Pros: Great location, great facilities. Lovely pool area. Poolside bar served great food. The bike hire staff were extremely friendly and provided a great service.
Cons: Unfriendly and unhelpful staff at check in, didn’t bother to talk us through the hotel’s facilities. Requested a portable bed for our room, was told that our room wouldn’t allow it due to health and safety- this was not expressed on the booking site. Bedsheets and towels were dirty when we entered our room, had to ask for them to be changed. A red wine stain was splashed down the side of the bed. The hotel did give us a $100 credit on our account for the inconvenience. The hotels restaurant Crown Landing was below standard and the squid ink pasta was inedible.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Views were very nice. Shuttle was very handy.
Cons: Our room was right next to the pool so wr had to keep our curtains closed to maintain privacy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Selections were great for breakfast and the food was very good
Cons: Service at the pool was horrible. Once we finally ordered it took a very long time to get it. Food and drinks!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Easy access to the Pool area.
Cons: Communication between staff to staff. I was getting the wrong amenities. For example if I only requested sugar, they brought up coffee, creamer, but they forget the sugar I have to call a couple of times and I feel like I'm bothering the staff by calling or texting them. That's it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, friendly staff
Cons: I had to wait 2 hours for my room.

Pros: The friendly staff, location, cleanliness, food, and view
Cons: Other guests inconsiderate eg noise
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in wonderful locations with friend staff. My daughter and I went to Petco park which is less than two blocks away.
Cons: It was a little bit expensive, but all downtown San Diego hotels are.
6.8 Good
Pros: We loved the roof top bar area, the bar tender was awesome!
Cons: Not as cenrerallt locates as I thought The rooms were just okay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy rooms and Hector went above and beyond his job duties. Made us feel like friends and have great info and helped us out when had an issue with our room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: New
Cons: Parking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It has a great energy to it and the room was excellent.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: They lost my luggage and repeatedly made it seem as if it was my fault or was mistaken. They "found" it when I was checking out. Which totally ruined my stay and plans due to not having my bag and shoes. It hampered what was suppose to be a fun night of dinner and dancing and seriously killed my plans and experience.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Beds are comfy.
Cons: Shower needs to be remodeled. Water leak in the bedroom resulted in a soaked carpet. Charged for water in the room that we never consumed. Bad location unless you're going to Petco Park. Reviews made this hotel seem special, it's not. Solid 3 star.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean room, nice and helpful staff, location, close to everything you need. Roof top bar is good place to have a couple drinks.
Cons: Only valet parking $49 per night. We used Ace public parking around the corner which is $15 for 24 hours. In order to use elevator you have to have your room key for kind of unlocking it to go upstairs.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a like-new hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter. Step out of the hotel, look to your left, it's the Padres' baseball stadium maybe a two minute walk away. It's a great place to mix business and pleasure - I walked to all my business meetings. I did not get breakfast with my stay because there are some amazing local breakfast places nearby. Nice pubs and restaurants nearby as well.
Cons: Parking is expensive, but as I recall when shopping for a hotel parking is expensive at all San Diego hotels. The hotel is well-located, so the car just stayed in the garage during my entire visit. Maybe it would make more sense to taxi/Uber it if staying for a longer period.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed
Cons: It would have been nice to know that it’s $50 to Park in there Garage ahead of time . $50 to park is BS.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the atmosphere, laid back and conveniently located.
Cons: Rooms didn’t have mini fridge, so wasn’t able to store water/snacks.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel itself is in a great area, beautiful and clean, the staff are friendly, and the accommodations such as complimentary breakfast and happy hour is great.
Cons: The hotel is far from attractions such as Downtown, Coronado beach, Balboa park, and old town. I also didn't like the pool, it's small, the chlorine smell was strong, and the in door setup was not appealing. The outside relaxing area (fire pit and chairs) is off to the side of the main hotel entrance and it's not set up as depicted in the photos. Also, the parking isn't great and it's $30+ per night. The mattress should be changed, it felt uncomfortable. During check out, it was quite chaotic with everyone trying to leave at the same time.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, good breakfast
Cons: Air conditioner was very loud in the room, couldn’t sleep well, small pool Hotel charges $35 for parking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was as expected.
Cons: I didn’t like that every single extra was a fee. The hotel is priced nicely for days stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Matt (intern) helped us figure out parking and was super helpful and nice! Everyone else working the front desk was also amazing! I wasn’t staying for Comic Con, but I loved how they all dressed up in shirts for it!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was soft and the room was clean and neat. The happy hour and the breakfasts were fine.
Cons: The noise from the construction across the street in the morning was a pain. You should at least let people know on your website there is temporary construction that might be heard. yAlso, our room was right across from the elevators during a soccer tournament weekend which made it extremely noisy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The suites was excellent at the building level or the outside location. Close to the Mall has made the experience more comfortable and enjoyable.
Cons: Nothing to report.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is great.
Cons: I chose the wrong location. All of our activities were downtown. This location was great for children. We did a lot of driving back and forth but the stay was nice.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was very good with lots of choices. Staff very helpful.
Cons: Too noisy at night from some of the guests. It stopped after 11 pm except for one family next door, but we called the front desk who sent a security guard who came up and took care of the situation. Great help and service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast!
Cons: A bit expensive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and very spacious room. Very good breakfast
Cons: Very expensive parking charge.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The cleaning staff Don’t have patience to clean the room

Cons: The cleaning staff started they vacuuming right outside of the rooms at 5am. Also, none of the promises that were made to me in terms of service were taken care of. They lied to appease me and then no follow thru.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is very central. The room was very clean and had some fun and nice artwork. Design and furniture was nice. Bed was very comfortable!
Cons: $40 for overnight parking (valet only) was outrageous. We could have driven around and found cheaper but I wasn't sure about car safety in the neighborhood so we bit the bullet.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very courteous and they rooms were nicely decorated and very comfortable.
Cons: What I didn't like was that in their advertising they say there is a lounge and bar area. When in fact there isn't one.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great staff and service, nice atmosphere, very comfortable
Cons: A larger breakfast selection would be nice, a fruit selection maybe? but what was there was nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was amazing! The staff was OVERLY accommodating and understanding. Rose at the front desk was EXCEPTIONAL. There aren’t enough stars to give her. Hotel was was clean, fun colors, and super clean.
Cons: The only things we were not happy with was the lighting situation with the bathroom. The lights over the vanity outside of the bathroom were connected. So when you turned on the bathroom light, those went on too. Having a toddler with us that was very disruptive at night. Also the walls are SUPER thin. If it wasn’t for my noise machine for the baby o don’t think any of us would’ve slept. But overall AMAZING experience. Will definitely stay there again!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. I was worried about the proximity to the convention center. It was a short 5-10 minute walk. Just a few blocks from great nightlife.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was decent size, Free continental breakfast.
Cons: No room service, no on site restaurant or even a bar, that’s pretty bad for a supposed four star hotel. There was construction going on the entire three days we were there. Lots of traffic lose, train noise. Very noisy location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Design and style if room excellent. Very modern and clean but continental breakfast should be free. Most hotels do that.
Cons: Had to ask for toilet paper
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Super comfortable beds and very helpful friendly staff. Good location. Quick check in and out.
Cons: Seems to be bums all over the place outside the hotel. If it were 50 dollars less a night it would be better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was like been at home. Everything was clean and the coziness of the room was amazing. It was my first time staying here, but I'll definitely return.
Cons: Everything was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Funky rooms, very cool lounge. Free breakfast! Free fancy water cooler and coffee cart for guests in the lobby. Nice area to visit downtown.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the beds! They were easily the most comfy hotel beds!
Cons: We didn't like that there was no warning about how expensive parking was per night. It wasn't just a flat rate and that was extremely disappointing
9.0 Excellent
Cons: No restaurant.

7.5 Good
Pros: location was close to restaurants and shops. Room spacious and modern
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly. I enjoyed the happy hour beer and wine daily. Bed was comfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location, room and hotel facilities. Staff were friendly and did their jobs well.
Cons: Little noisy but that understandable considering it’s excellent central location.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, large rooms with great amenities and the roof top pool / bar / breakfast area is a big additional benefit. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: Can be quite noisy at night due to its proximity to Gas Lamp. They do acknowledge this and provide ear plugs and advice on how to reduce noise pollution.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was gorgeous and clean. The hotel had a great location. The staff was very nice and accommodating.
Cons: We asked for a quieter room and they put us on the street side that had loud noise till 2 am most nights
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was good but would have preferred nearer the waterfront. The rooftop area was very nice and we did go up for a drink one afternoon and breakfast two mornings. Room was very nice, large, with very comfortable bed.
Cons: Breakfast included would have helped the value rating. View across 6th ave was not very attractive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gave us a lot of free stuff, location, rooftop amazing, best restaurants, and bars all around you walking distance. Love love . And bed was so comfortable! Also one more thing, they are dog friendly.
Cons: That I had to leave
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the city.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: From the valet, to the front desk staff, the housekeeping crew, and the staff in the restaurant, each person I dealt with was extremely friendly and accommodating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location and friendly staff. Although we did not lounge by the rooftop pool (we took advantage of the great location by exploring the Gaslamp/Little Italy/Colombia Districts by foot instead) it was definitely one of the reasons we chose the Andaz in the first place. Happy hour on the rooftop, with the warm sun shining down on us (plenty of shade available, too) was terrific. Bedding was soft and luxurious, although the down pillows were way over-stuffed. We asked for flatter, softer pillows and they arrived quickly. Very cool, hip hotel, and added bonuses were the free treats, coffee, water and OJ in our room, as well as a discount to the men’s shop in the lobby. Oh, and all the available iPod charging stations! We drove to San Diego without accommodations arranged before hand. We considered staying on Coronado Island for a beach getaway, but then decided to do an “explore downtown San Diego” getaway instead. Best of both worlds here, city with great restaurants to walk to, and a short car ride to the beach to relax on.
Cons: We stayed for two nights. On the second morning, we were woken up by noise from above. We were on the 5th floor and, I suppose, the gym was right above us and someone got their 7am run on the treadmill.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: It was clean and has good access to downtown.
Cons: The lobby/hallway smelled unbearably of Abercrombie and Fitch. The view outside of our window was a homeless camp. I requested a vanity kit and make up wipes (twice) and they were never delivered and there was no staff follow up about the request.

Pros: Everything was perfect - a relaxing break!
7.0 Good
Pros: Every employee we encountered was warm and welcoming and truly helpful. The location is excellent, view from the pool was outstanding, comfort of the pool area furniture was great.
Cons: Sheets were very scratchy. The room was pretty average for an above average price. The grounds and exterior surfaces of the hotel could use a power wash and a spiffing up. The pool was heated but still cold for the weather we had. At almost $600/night I was expecting a more 4 star property.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is spectacular and facilities are incredible
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the most gorgeous property in La Jolla for a week-end get away. It is romantic, well located and all amenities! I go every chance I get. Dozens of fine restaurants within walking distance, shops, galleries -- it is a perfect place to unwind by the sea.

Pros: Rooms need a fluff
1.0 Poor
Pros: The MED. The restaurant on the property.,
Cons: The bedsheets were soiled. When I called for the 24 hour dining option there was no response to my voicemail. I was simply ignored. Management had a very sad attempt at apologizing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast at The Med was delicious. The eggs were prepared to perfection and the hash browns had onions and peppers. The yogurt and berries was also excellent. The fruit was ripe and delicious. The fresh squeezed orange juice was also great.
Cons: My husband hurt his knee hiking and we asked for ice. It took over an hour for delivery.considering the excellent service, we were disappointed.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Close to Main Street
Cons: Bathroom was small
4.0 Okay
Pros: The hotel location was good and the rooms were clean.
Cons: The breakfast was minimal, this is a old hotel and the rooms are what you would expect from a old style hotel. I don't believe this should be considered a four star hotel. It was well taken care of clean and the staff was great but is in not a four star.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was a suite so it really had all amenities, it was very big and comfortable. There was a separate bedroom, kitchen and living area. If I was there for a large amount of time, I could have cooked for myself - the rooms are like studio apartments. It was in a great location and easy to get to other places.
Cons: I had to climb the stairs to get into the room, it was a bit tough with luggage and had I known, I would have asked for something without stairs or help with luggage. There was no bottled water in the room, a personal pet peive of mine and no gym.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was nice and the cleaning and support staff were friendly.
Cons: Our room looked nothing like the website pictures. We paid more for a Deluxe King feeling we'd need space for our 6 day stay. The bathroom was so tiny I had step into the shower in order to close the door. There was no soap and the carpet had several large stains. The room was dark and musty. The hotel is tired and in need of renovation. The front desk staff was not helpful.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nice location
Cons: The pictures you see on their website do not match what you actually get. Be prepared for a much smaller, dirtier, dimly lit and musty room. Bait and switch comes to mind.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Not much property, more parking and doors to rooms.
Cons: Older than online photos
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Love the complimentary breakfast/coffee area!
Cons: Window sill inside had webs around all around frame.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Bathroom is a little too small
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was super comfortable. Short walk to the beach for morning walk. The room we had was small and the staff was able to move us to a larger more comfortable one.
Cons: The disc eggs and sausage at breakfast. I was glad there was hard boiled eggs for protein.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Close to the beach and has a pool
Cons: Expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: A senior discount thru AARP or AAA would have been appreciated

Pros: It was conveniently located but hidden away. Only a 15 minute drive to Sea World, Petco, Mission Beach. Very secluded like a island getaway. Peaceful and quiet, very relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Very good restaurant on site with many more within walking distance. Great place to stay with the family.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Great location
Cons: Took a long time to check in. They forgot to give us parking pass so we had to stand in line a second time. All the towels for the pool was gone. Went to front desk and they said they would refill but never did. I walked up and asked when I would get a towel and they said I guess they had to wash some towels first. he said I could go back to my room and get my towel from there. Technically they should have done that for the guests. They should have more chairs around the pool as there was plenty of room.

Pros: I came for Comic-Con and everyone at the hotel was so excited for the event as well. The staff was so friendly! They always greeted me with smiles and acknowledgment. Check in and check out were easy. The room was beautiful. And the location can’t be beat—within walking distance to Little Italy, the waterfront, and the Gaslamp Quarter.
Cons: For the price of some of the meals offered in the hotel’s restaurant, the portions were small.

Pros: Loved the location because there is a lot near by! Very friendly and great staff! We liked the rooftop bar and our room was really nice!
Cons: We hated that parking was not included in what we paid for the hotel and it’s $50 a night. You also have to pay to use the wifi. These things should be included for hotel guests.
