Different car rental companies have varying policies when it comes to mileage. When renting a pickup truck for your trip to Las Vegas, we recommend putting the mileage into consideration. For instance, if you are only making a brief trip to Las Vegas, a limitation on the number of miles you can cover poses no concern. However, if you plan to drive around Las Vegas spontaneously during your stay, you might consider getting a pickup truck with unlimited mileage. Companies such as Hertz and Budget offer rentals with unlimited mileage.
A rental company will hand over the car to you with a full fuel tank in most cases. However, they also expect you to return it full. Otherwise, you will have to pay extra money to fill it up. While the best option is returning the car with a full tank, you might consider renting the truck from a company with a fair fuel policy. In Las Vegas, several rental companies, such as Alamo and SIXT, have a fair price policy.
Inevitably, the pickup truck brand you pick has an impact on cost. However, it's important to consider the car's functionality, as opposed to focusing entirely on the cost. You can rent a reliable brand during your trip to Las Vegas, including Toyota Tacoma and Ford F-150. You can find these brands in most car rental companies in Las Vegas, such as Alamo and Enterprise.
When renting a pickup truck in Las Vegas, it's important to understand car rental periods, which could save you money. Typically, car rental companies operate on 24-hour periods. Therefore, delaying to return the car even for a single hour could result in you being charged for a whole extra day. To avoid extra costs, ensure that your drop-off time aligns with the pickup time.

Quick easy check in/out experience, friendly service. Only suggestion is to put a note on rentals from here which explain that the rental counter is within Main Street Casino, I did have some trouble finding the rental counter initially.

Made a 5pm reservation. Office was closed at 5pm. Sixt refused to refund me at first, then tried to subject me to a $200 cancelation fee because of their mistake, which was almost the entire rental price. They refused to put a manager on the phone after the customer service agent said that was my only option. What a joke, never going back. Had to fight for an hour to get my refund, and was still out over $100 just in Uber fees to pick up the vehicle in the first place.

I would recommend a much clearer description of where the car is picked up and dropped off. In Vegas the rental car desk and vehicles were parked at the airport which is what I thought. However, Sixt is NOT on site in Salt Lake. That was a big issue and was not clear when I booked. I might have chose a different rental company if I’d known this. Also, since we were renting for 6 weeks this added extra taxes and a two invoice system that was not invoiced properly. Basically, the car was great but the admin side was not. Trying to speak to someone live on the phone to correct the incorrect invoicing was frustrating and took hours. There was an employee in Salt Lake I wanted to mention (The Austin) who went out of his way to help us. He explained the two invoice system, apologized for the confusion since we had driven all the way to the airport to be told it was offsite. He then drove us to our airport hotel since we didn’t have a way to get there. We dropped off the car the day before our flight and were planning to use the hotel shuttle to get us back/forth to the hotel. The Sixt drop off is down the interstate from the airport so it was an issue.

The car has low tyre pressure and not enough coolant! I had to fill it by myself. This is super dangerous for driving in the desert.

When picking up the vehicle, the line moved incredibly slowly. The gentleman was great and took care of four guests in the time the two other ladies were still with the same customer. The car was of lower class and category than I booked. Although it was clean and new, the driving quality was poor.

The interior windows of the car were filthy, and the vehicle had dents and scratches on almost every panel. The passenger-side wiper was half ripped off, while the driver’s-side wiper was so dried out that it simply smeared the windshield. Thankfully, I didn’t have to drive in the rain. The employee who checked me in at the Las Vegas location seemed like she could care less about her job. It took approximately 30 minutes to check in, despite there being only 4–5 customers in the building at the time. I was also charged a $200 drop-off fee, even though the vehicle was returned to another Fox rental location and, presumably, could be rented from that location again. This fee was not disclosed to me when I reserved the vehicle. I believe these types of “add-on” fees should be clearly disclosed upfront, rather than being revealed when you arrive to pick up the car. By the time all the additional fees are added, a so-called “budget” rental can cost just as much as a premium rental company. Lesson learned. I would not rent from Fox again, and based on my experience, I would strongly discourage others from using them.

I didn’t line anything about this company. I booked on kayak and when I got to the rental place they gave me so many problems. They even asked for a billed under my name simply because I am a local client. I walked away without a vehicle because it was simply impossible to fulfill all their requests. Will never try to book a rental with this company again

Hidden costs! Daily insurance is an additional $60, which was more than the cost of the rental itself.

I got the vechile with low fuel, I was expected to fuel the tank to drive it, then bring it back with a full tank. Gotta love it l, paying for someone else's gas. Be prepared at this location for that to happen.

I made the reservation then called to confirm the vehicle and particulars. Two days before travel I called the Las Vegas thrifty to confirm again. Imagine the surprise when I arrived to find that I was assigned a minivan instead of the Ford transit I had booked and was told I could not rent it there and return it in Salt Lake City without paying an additional $800. The nice lady showed me the booking and it was the code for a minivan. A minivan is not equivalent to the Transit. I had seven adults and luggage which I why I rented such an expensive vehicle through this site. Contact me.

Pick-up truck

Our car was ready as we had booked several weeks ahead of time. We did have to wait a long time as there were 2 employees working the front and checking cars in the lot. There was a wait list for same day pick up. And as they were backed up and it’s first come first service. We had to wait through 45 min of everyone who hadn’t booked ahead. Staff was patient and friendly. Drop off was super easy just drive up and left the keys inside. There was someone inspecting upon arrival. Thing else to do. Unlimited miles was a wonderful feature as we drove a lot. The car was perfect for what we needed good handling 4x4 for off road terrain food ac and spacious.

Close at 11:00 - flight was late so were unable to pick up car. Went to pick up next morning and decided not to rent from them due to uncommunicated add-ons. Pressure to buy insurance despite credit card coverage. A additional charge for driving out of state!!

I will never use easyrent again. The transit driver was unprofessional complaining about the weight of our suit case. Well I’m sorry you are 20 yrs younger than me and I lift it w/o problem. The wait for customer service was insanely slow. I was first in line and waited 30 minutes. The vehicles fuel tank wasn’t full and the car was very dirty. The drop off was fine. Again with the transit driver bitching about suit case weight, sorry find another job.

Customer service was ok even though she would continually stop to be on her cell phone. The quality of the van was horrible. It was dirty inside and out. Windshield had streaks and a film on the inside that we couldn't see through at times in certain light. Sooooo DIRTY!!! And the gas tank was empty. We told customer service and they said there was a gas station just up the street and that we should be ok. They didn't even come out to verify. Which means they knew the condition of the Van. We had to immediately stop, fill up the tank and clean the van windows and seats and run it through the car wash. The van also smelled of marijuana. DISGUSTING! We have never had this kind of experience with any of our rentals with other companies.

Pick up was slow because they only had one employee working but she worked hard to get the job done quickly, was professional and the process was smooth. Car was ready and cooled off waiting for us - since it was 111 out that was really appreciated! Drop off after hours was easy and we simply walked across the street to catch the free shuttle to the airport terminal. Great value for the money - I rented a full size suv for the price of the compact with the competitors. I’d rent from them again!

The shuttle from Fox after returning the carcass was TERRIBLE!!! First of all, we waited well over 25 minutes for the shuttle; they said it would be every 15 minutes. Then, the shuttle literally broke down on the way to the main rental center!!! We had to wait for another shuttle to come and take us and the other passengers. We ended wasting 50 minutes due to Fox’s inefficiency and lack of quality and because of Fox, we nearly missed being able to check our luggage.

The drop-off process at Fox’s was fast and easy. Suggest signage stating process to park here, remove belongings, and leave keys in unlocked vehicle. Luckily, a shuttle was about to leave, so caught a return ride quickly. Otherwise, they were somewhat slow on running back n forth. Did not like the need to take second remote to rental lot to obtain vehicle. Was not clearly explained in site details. Lobby of registration area was run down. Three agents working the counter, required us to wait longer than anticipated. Due to many foreign travelers, agents spent extra time to process documents. Did not appreciate the amount of taxes and insurance charges to final bill. What is advertised price, well add 120% as close estimate to final bill.

Regarding this it was a deeply disappointing and upsetting experience when collecting my rental vehicle. Upon arrival at the counter, I was pressured into purchasing additional products and coverages that I did not request, agree to, or need. I was told these items were mandatory and that the insurance I already held through Expedia “wasn’t valid” and that I should “contact Expedia” instead. This information was misleading and felt deliberately manipulative. I was also charged for services I did not use, including being made to sign for items such as a bus transfer that I never took, yet was still billed for. The counter agent’s behaviour was unprofessional and unacceptable (sanoe). She was rude, dismissive, and gave me an ultimatum: either pay the added charges and hurry up as she can’t waste her time with me as customer waiting or leave without a vehicle and with no refund. This felt coercive and left me with no genuine choice. This experience not only resulted in unauthorised charges, but also ruined the start of my holiday. I believe I was misled, upsold without consent, and effectively defrauded.
