It really was value for money. The staff team did a great job welcoming me both pick up and drop off. Car photos as cleanliness and setup were good and easy to use. Very convenient! My top tip or feedback would be to make the Dollar location clearer as we found the building but there was only a tiny sign that's easily missed. As its in the hertz counter.

Would not rent me the car as I didn’t have two form of proof of address for the address listed on my drivers license (I did have them for my rental address where I live). Only solution offered was to pay them a c. £200 up front fee as a waiver.

I arrived, and they had the wrong car. They had an SUV-type 7-seater, but I booked a people carrier van. They didn't have any available, so I had to wait 90 minutes with 3 children for the car to be ready. They claimed the issue with the booking was with Kayak/Expedia, and they made me pay the difference in upgrading the car. I showed them the booking confirmation and the picture of the van/people carrier with 9 seats, but they still made me pay. I was so tired and knew I needed the van that I had to pay to get out of the place. The manager was helpful, and the people were lovely. But I find all car rental places to be borderline crooks. This just confirmed it again for me. There are ridiculous add-ons for mileage, car seats for kids (a legal requirement), insurance, and excess. The list goes on.

The pick up location was not welcoming... I was left waiting in the cold for quite a while. When the staff eventually turned up, I was bombarded with a bunch of hidden costs... one for a deposit of more than a Thousand pounds!! I eventually cut my losses (I had paid about 35 pounds through Kayak Ref EXP(B)-4477889-44569) and decided to take an expensive Taxi instead)

Never rent from them. If you do, video tape the car before you drive off. They rented me a car with pre-existing minor paint damage and accused me of creating it. They are dishonest. I've never had to deal with this before and have rented hundreds of cars. This is the only company I've encountered who does this.

Car was picked up with damaged and was noted in the contract but still being charged for the damage of over $2K. Called and was routed to multiple departments with many phone calls. It hasn’t been resolved yet. We have videos and photos as proofs that the damages were there before we checked out the car. Very bad customer services

My experience with Hertz was very poor. I booked the car online for what seemed like a competitive price. However on arrival Hertz told me it would cost 2x the rental price I had paid for the basic cover (250 for the rental, 500 for the insurance). This was unexpected as I asked them how could I book it without insurance? They said I must have used the American site. I wasn’t aware that I did as I’m not American. Either way it was all a shock and not a pleasant surprise to get.

The customer service experience at the desk could have been better. The agent made us anxious about potential charges for any scratches on the car body or alloys before we even received the keys, which was unsettling. During my last rental with Drivalia UK, they never mentioned anything like this, and I didn’t feel pressured about the car’s return condition. It was a much more pleasant experience compared to this one.
