Pros: I stayed at Villa Soro for 4 nights. The main building is elegant with a very warm atmosphere. I had a corner room on the first floor of the newer building which had it owns semi-private outdoor space. Both were nice. The bedroom and bathroom were of good size and quite utilitarian. The newer house has no street noise, though the area is sufficiently quiet that I would be surprised if the original house is affected by traffic noise. The staff is very polite and helpful.
I chose to stay at the Villa as I thought I might find interesting people with whom to talk. Breakfast seemed like an obvious time but the bar is actually pretty lively at night. My wish was fulfilled. Members of The Morgan Motor Club were there with their glorious convertibles (British racing green, of course) and there were 2 architects from Stockholm on their way to Bilbao.

Cons: My bathroom was not adequately cleaned. I suppose this was due to the maid believing that Americans only take showers. However, there were enough clues that I take baths. The tub wasn't cleaned (or not to my standards) and neither q-tips nor hand soap were replaced in a timely matter..
I found there was too much noise transmitted from the room or rooms above which may have been just the luck of the draw in whose overhead.
Note that this really is a residential area and you will have a good 30 minute walk to the bus station or even most restaurants.

Pros: On our arrival the doorman Juan Antonio made a real extra effort to get our luggage, and get us parked as the access to parking was not easy to see. He was very attentive and helpful, got us all set up in hurry. An easy walk to the Promenade and beach area. Loved that the stairways are right in the lobby rather than a dingy stairwell, so you can use the stairs. Breakfast was great- loved that you could have eggs done anyway you liked- mmm omelettes. A wonderful stay

Cons: We had a triple room. One of the beds (the middle bed) had a significant amount of sand in the sheets. Then, when we had breakfast, one of our plates was covered in sticky stuff (but it was in the clean plate pile). That made us question the cleanliness of the hotel overall.

Plenty of eateries close to hotel (5mins walking) - as said, Old Town and beach (La Concha) 20 mins walking away. Would have to stay a week to try all the fab pincho venues. Have to visit San Sebastian again.

Pros: I have been wanting to stay at this hotel for years, and the experience was fabulous. All the rooms have themed actor’s rooms, we had Sofia Loren. We were surprised to see Alfred Hitchcock in reception. We upgraded to a superior room which was well worth it, it’s a fair walk to the old town so worth ordering a cab. We would definitely stay here again soon.

No US plug. So if you bring a shaver, you are in trouble.
The hotel directory in the room was not coherent. It was written the gym was openned untill 10pm and when you arrive their, it was open only untill 9 pm.
The room door didn’t close totally so I had to make sure it would close behind me.
In order to access to the wifi, I had to proceed to certain pages that the receptionist didn’t give at check-in.
NO COMPLIMENTARY WATER.
I’ve been to many other places with better amenities and at least a welcoming water.

Pros: I chose this location for it's proximity to La Concha Beach and based on other reviews. I won't lie, it is pricey, but it was a well worth it splurge! I requested a beach view and it was totally unbeatable. It was postcard perfect. The location was right on the "boardwalk" type of separation from the beach. Located steps away from restaurants on the beach as well as the Perla Spa. There is a fairly good restaurant in the hotel that has a reasonable breakfast buffet and great coffee. The hotel itself was quaint and charming. The elevator was old school and fun. The staff were friendly and informative. The rooms, while small, were updated and very clean. The balconies offered spectacular views and modern balcony doors that crack open in a safe way so you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Only about a 10 minute walk from the Old Town where the most amazing food scene awaits you. Go in another direction and you had great shopping and sight seeing. Would definitely stay here again!

Pros: Good location within walking distance of the city centre. It’s a very clean and modern looking hotel. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Lovely solarium and jacuzzi on level 6. Although it’s close to a main road the rooms are well soundproofed and air conditioned. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great to see that they also work hard to employ people with disabilities. Lunch was delicious and excellent value: 20Euros for three courses including wine, water and bread. Good range of breakfast items. We didn’t have dinner. We were sad to leave.

Although it’s close to a main road the rooms are well soundproofed and air conditioned. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great to see that they also work hard to employ people with disabilities. Lunch was delicious and excellent value: 20Euros for three courses including wine, water and bread. Good range of breakfast items. We didn’t have dinner. We were sad to leave.

I was not informed at the time booking and that was not your site.The spa that was sold me on the hotel chose. Also, location miss informed on your side. It is a almost 30 min walk to city center. We asked for a higher floor and with a smirk were told that our request rooms are not on higher floor. i asked for a room with shower only, due bad hip, and again with a smirk had a negative answer. We had very bad experiences, I had problem getting in to the bathtub for shower and leave day earlier and lost the a day of prepay ed stay. Very unhappy.

Pros: Location, location, location! Sunsets are SPECTACULAR! It is a nice hotel located at the top of Monte Igueldo, with a privileged view of La Concha Beach, the bay and the city of San Sebastián. The hotel has free outdoor parking, and a helpful staff. We arrived early in the morning, and their staff received and took care of our bags until we later checked in. The helped us with reservations to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe (don’t miss it). Breakfast at the hotel was very good. We were really pleased!

Pros: Location, location, location! Sunsets are SPECTACULAR! It is a nice hotel located at the top of Monte Igueldo, with a privileged view of La Concha Beach, the bay and the city of San Sebastián. The hotel has free outdoor parking, and a helpful staff. We arrived early in the morning, and their staff received and took care of our bags until we later checked in. The helped us with reservations to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe (don’t miss it). Breakfast at the hotel was very good. We were really pleased!
Cons: The fact that is not in the center. But the views justify the location.
