I needed a car rental with pick-up and drop-off in different cities. Sixt was able to accommodate that. I was a little weary at first because I have not rented cars from Sixt before. Everything about our car rental went poorly. When we booked it, I received a confirmation email for the wrong date, wrong time and wrong pickup location. I called and was told I could cancel the reservation, but would need to pay a cancellation fee. I spoke with a manager an eventually was told I would receive a full refund given it wasn’t my fault. Then I lost $70, as it wasn’t refunded to me. I called back twice and was told it would be refunded within 7 days and it was not. When we picked up the car, I was under the impression I could use my regular car insurance (as I’ve done with every other car rental) and it turns out that ireland doesn’t accept that. Instead I was told there would need to be $2000 hold on my credit card, as well as I would need to purchase $175 insurance. My credit card covers rental car insurance so I had to call my credit card company in rental car location and the verbally told the company that I was indeed covered. After finding out my credit card covers insurance, I needed to have $5000 available for hold on my credit card. I didn’t, given that I thought my regular car insurance would cover everything. Still have yet to receive my $70 back as promised and still have various holds on my credit card. Very disappointing overall.Reviewed 11 Aug. 2022

I was charged 182.5 dollars at drop off which I was unduly since I was not explained additional contract terms. I found the overall process very dishonest and will not recommend Sixth or use its services again in the future.Reviewed 11 Aug. 2022

Car was okay, clean. pickup and drop-off was fine. BUT WATCH OUT FOR ADDITIONAL CHARGES! Upon arrival, they offered an upgrade for $30 more per day which i accepted. I booked for $533 for my rental, I was expecting to pay $653 with the upgrade, but they charged me almost $1000.00 They said I would get my invoice upon delivery of the vehicle, when I did deliver it, they then said I would get my invoice via email. then I noticed the charge. I immediately called them to dispute the transaction, they said it was because I said my wife "might" drive the vehicle so they added more insurance for her. - they did not declare that to me. (I ended up driving the whole time anyway) They said they would get back to me in 24-48 hours with my dispute/complaint. that didn't happen either. Now I am having to dispute the charge with my bank, and I still have not received an invoice from them. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THESE GUYS. GET IT IN WRITING, GET A COPY BEFORE YOU AGREE TO ANYTHING.Reviewed 10 Aug. 2022
