Pros: Clean. Tranquil. Good location.

Cons: Uncomfortable smell of the shower curtain

Pros: Great location to take bus and train. Excellent WIFi. Very efficient the self check in / out system.

Cons: Space at breakfast is very limited. Not so much option when it comes to western food availability.

Cons: The fact that they didn't have any rooms for a family, the three of us (adults) and I had to pay for two identical sized and priced double rooms.

Cons: Day one’s room is prefect clean (Room 1104), but last night is terrible dusty(Room 1125$

Pros: The rooms are new and spacious comparing to other Japanese hotels. It's just a corner away from JR station and with a 7-11 at 1F.

Cons: One of the female staffs is sort of struggling to understand our English. Other than that, the staffs are friendly.

Pros: The room was comfortable and had room to accommodate 2 suitcases. The hotel had a small guest coin operated laundry and a fantastic Onsen. It is ideally located opposite the station and bus station and within a few blocks easy walking distance of the main attractions. Plenty of restaurants and food choices in the blocks around the hotel. There is a friendly Tully's cafe by the front door. The room was quiet except for the unfortunate electioneering on loudspeakers that is taking place around the streets at the moment.

Pros: Excellent location and friendly and helpful staff. Buffet breakfast was good-value-for-money, unless you are not used to Japanese breakfast - as there were not many western Items. Parking was convenient and inexpensive.

Cons: Room was small. We booked a double room of 20 sq.m. But the actual size did not look 20 sq.m. at all. Very cramped for 2 people with 2 suitcases. The public bath was always crowded - I suppose it’s because the bath is open to the public for a quite low entrance fee.

Pros: Fantastic location. Great onsen. Extremely helpful staff. Nearby convenience store and shopping.

Cons: I had a problem with the HVAC system and there were few instructions in English.

Pros: We didn’t expect that there is hot spring in this hotel. It is super close to the department stores. The staff were very friendly and helped us book the restaurant for dinner in advance.

Pros: Great location as it is just directly opposite Tokushima JR Station and bus station. It is also very convenient to have meals as there are many restaurants and Lawson is just next door.

Cons: No coin laundry and no vending machines with beer.

Pros: I enjoyed everything - from the friendly staff to the hotel facilities. Breakfast was very good - much exceeding my expectation and like the fact that they do a selection of Japanese food on top of normal intercontinental breakfast that many hotels go for.

Cons: We arrived in Tokushima at 6am and had to leave early at 6am the day after. I hope the hotel could have allowed earlier checkin, like 9am, for my case.

Pros: Breakfast is very delicious, many local foods and very fresh. And the roof restaurant cooked very good with Japanese food and west.

Cons: The only thing I can think of is that I couldn't get a nonsmoking room, but they were fully booked for the triathlon so I understand. In my opinion though, I think all hotels should be smoke-free.

Pros: Efficient hotel in Tokushima. A very good breakfast (including icecream!). Nice room and as we were on the 10th floor, we had a great view. The hotel is near a station and also only a 10 minute walk to the busstop that leads to the ferry terminal.

Pros: Really great staff, they organised Awa Odori dancer performance in the lobby after the main event was cancelled due to typhoon. Breakfast was very good too, and it has a covered connection to a convenient store so won't even get wet in the rain to get food while stuck in hotel during the typhoon. Free carpark was useful, good base for visits to the surrounding areas

Cons: The hotel is quite dated, and the beds are not comfortable at all.

Cons: It is quite far from the centre of the city and there are not many restaurants around the hotel

Pros: After soms sleepless hours in old smoke, i asked the guy at the reception at 1 AM if i could change to non smoking the following day. He promply found another room that i could move to immediately and even offered to help me move. Hero! Without this move i woud have never enjoyed the Nespresso (!), the bbc word service (!!) the spotlessy clean room, the newspaper in english on the carpet every morning (!!!) etcetera. The room was nothing fancy but good enough but these kind of stuff and service made me love the place. Besides: good location, strong wifi and it offers a free telefoons service.

Cons: Beware that the Windows can not be opened... This combined with a weak climate control made the smoking room undoable, it looked disgusting and worse it left me sleepless and with a headache...

Pros: Opposite the JR station and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. Breakfast buffet was good - the ochazuke was yum! Room was pretty massive and even came with nespresso pods!

Cons: Just be careful with the AC/heater. I believe the AC is centrally controlled so the switch in the room is for the heater only! Dont touch unless you want to sleep in a sauna!

Pros: Room was bigger than expected! Staff very friendly, had free coffee in the room. Very comfortable bed.

Pros: It is very conveniently located right by the Tokushima station. I was pleasantly surprised with the amenities they provided, like a nespresso and a good strong hair dryer.

Pros: Everything. Clean, modern, comfortable. Good coffee. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Didn't try the hotel breakfast/restaurant.

Pros: The size of the room is really huge and comfortable. The choices of coffee and tea bags are various.

Cons: The interior is a little bit old and out fashion. It is still using actual key to open the door. The location of pug is extremely inconvenience.

Pros: The breakfast was amazing! It was not a buffet: you actually got a complete meal prepared by the restaurant. There were two separate baths so there was no schedule conflict between men and women. The Yukatas we're very nice too.

Pros: This hotel was very large and the room provided was adequate, as expected from the "standard" hotel you see in Japan. I liked that there were onsen available for the guests: it was nice to able to use one without having to leave the building. There was also a small shop inside selling well-priced omiyage, which myself and my friend took advantage of.

Cons: The room felt very old: whether it was or not I have no idea. The room we were given was not the one pictured when I made the booking, though when we checked in it seemed like we were moved to a different room because of a mix up with our request for a non-smoking room. I'm guess I'm happy that we weren't just put into a smoking room, but the room we did get seemed like a downgrade appearance-wise - older linen and such. The hotel is also a bit of a walk from the station and there aren't many restaurants nearby. There is a supermarket around the corner though, which was nice.

Cons: Even we stay at New Building, but is looks old. Carpet is dirty, and there’s smell when enter the room. Hotel just near the main road, a bit noisy.

Cons: The air-conditioner is weird. Sometimes it starts and sometimes it stops completely until you feel like its choking you out. Then it will start again.

Cons: CSR unwilling to help. I am not a Japanese speaker. As a new trail walker of shikoku, I have to book one of a hostel near a temple. The CSR refused to give a hand and also in a rude manner. It is interesting that their lobby has been promoting the 1200 year of shikoku. But they even didn't understand my need.

Pros: A good cheap hotel. Breakfast included. Not far from the bus/train station (can be done on foot) and thus for center town, which is a plus. The personnel is nice, and speak for some of them some form of broken English, which help.

Pros: The location was great. The taxi fare from the train station was around usd 15. There were a few restaurants around and also some stores like seven eleven and a ¥100 plaza, both super popular in Japan. The room had a very comfortable bed and lighting. The staff was super friendly.

Cons: The bath wall was super dirty like “oh my God how could they do this to me !?”. The room was clean but they do not check the bath area for months !

Pros: Hotel near AEON 100 shop, easy to buy things. Hotel not near JR Tokushima, walk must use 30-45 minutes. The staff helpful and nice, can help us call taxi to Tokushima, the fee below 1000 yens. The rooms is clean but old.

Cons: There is no fan in the bathroom, which feels stuffy during showers. I would like to try the onsen and gym, but the opening hours is too short. Also, the check-out is right at the breakfast ending time, which leaves no time for people packing after breakfast.

Pros: We had a huge room with a living room and a bedroom. The bath place was so nice! The hotel is very big and it has a vintage feel that I like. Very nice views. There is nice Indian restaurant nearby .

Cons: It is one station away from tokushima station so not easy to walk with luggage. But it's ok.

Cons: The internet was bad and the show was so small i couldn't stand under it. If you are less than 185 cm you should be ok.

Pros: I know, my rating is high. I tell you why. Yes, this place needs - acc to japanse standard - a make over. Yes, the hygiene - although very good in bathroom and bed - can be better (be it that the place ‘looks’ more dodgy then it in fact ‘is’) but this hotel has one big plus: staff. Mostly english talking, young people, willing for a chat. It’s really nice to arrive with this warm welcome! Every floor has a coin (100y) laundy or dryer machine. Very convenient. Wifi is strong, elevator, vendingmachines, etc..

Cons: Hygiene on unseen places is not good. Decoration of whole hotel needs serious uplift. Warm/cold water supply in bathroom is good but needs adjustment.

Pros: This is a very good value for money hotel. The staff are super friendly, check in was easy and we were impressed with the size and cleanliness of the rooms. The beds were big, clean and comfortable and we liked the rooms. We'd definitely recommend this hotel as a clean, comfy, budget option. There are also plenty of restaurants very close by.

Cons: The carpet in our room was wet- I don’t know if there was a flood or if they had cleaned the floors that day, but it was jarring to step out of my shoes and get my socks soaking wet. Bathroom felt musty with some mold on the walls.
