Pros: Our room feels as though someone anticipated everything we might want and provided it. Perfectly lovely and totally comfortable!!

Pros: I like that there is a kitchen and full fridge. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Housekeeping just emptied garbage, did not make up beds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast too
Cons: The sheets were not soft. Pillows were flat. Scramble eggs were hard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything about this hotel. The breakfast every morning was delicious! The social hour was amazing as well. John the manger and Bonnie were amazing people and so friendly. We will definitely be back.
Cons: Need more pillows on bed. Like 6 instead of 4
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent.......delicious and healthy with a variety of choices.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Large rooms, pet friendly, great value, everything is modern and clean, great breakfast buffet, friendly staff. Just outside of downtown but for that you get very large suites and there's a 24 hour free shuttle service to any location within 5 miles and they pickup / dropoff on demand, just call. It's about a 5-8 min drive to downtown. The in suite kitchen's are also fully stocked with a full size fridge, pots and pans, silverware, sink and even a dishwasher. Feels like you're at home if staying for a few days.
Cons: To have a pet stay with you it's an extra 50 a night which which can add up and get expensive given the hotel price. I feel a one time pet cleaning fee would be more appropriate. I cleanup after my pet and there is no big mess.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a gem of a hotel. The staff is amazing, the property is well-designed and in a great situation just off the freeway (access could not be easier), parking is free, and there is a 24/7 free shuttle bus available on demand for guests who wish to pop in to Burlington for the day. Breakfast was fantastic, as was the complimentary food served (with free beer and wine!) from 5.30 Mon-Thurs. If we ever get back to this part of Vermont we will have no hesitation in staying again at the Homewood Suites. We cannot recommend the property highly enough.
Cons: Absolutely nothing!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nicely appointed and very clean. Quiet.
Cons: No USB ports in the rooms. It was a real pain in the butt. This day and age all hotels, except for this one, have them right on the night stands.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Like new! Super clean and spotless. Luxurious. Full refrigerator and freezer, cook top, microwave, and all things needed to cook. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Quiet, comfortable, and perfectly equipped rooms. Coffee round the clock downstairs, breakfast, and dinner on weeknights. Honestly, best place we've stayed - ever! Great value.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean comfortable modern and well located for Burlington
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous views and so close to church street shopping/restaurants. It was also very close to the water and all of the activities down there. They had a great menu for room service and a cute bar/restaurant downstairs. The lobby was decorated so cute.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very pretty and clean. Great location and walking distance to everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Escape to Vermont!
Cons: No
7.1 Good
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the Vermont Flannel blanket was a nice touch. Great having a coffee station in the hall. Sliding doors were a bit fussy and contrived. Restaurant was a terrific surprise. The food was excellent and service even better.
Cons: The hotel is too expensive. It felt more like a glorified Marriot than a boutique hotel. Could use another sitting chair in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I can't even describe how much we liked Hotel Vermont. From check in to check out, everything exceeded our expectations. The women behind the front desk were exceptional, particularly Emily. We were given an absolutely gorgeous room. Can't wait to go back
Cons: No. It was perfect.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice lack of environmental affect. Enjoyed use of bike in morn.
Cons: Seemed outrageously expensive.
5.0 Okay
Pros: location was perfect because of proximity to downtown and the lake. Also liked the free bikes.
Cons: room overlooked top of a parking garage and the fan was very noisy and turned on and off all night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the decor and the quiet
Cons: No bathrobes in a room with a jacuzzi
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming hotel. Different from the ho hum cookie cutter chain hotels.
Cons: Below it says Cynthia from Norwalk, CT - I'm from Newton, MA
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was very good—near the lake and central downtown.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious. I really liked that hotel had bikes which were free to use. The coffee/beverage section on each floor was also a plus. Free parking was also a plus.
Cons: When I asked if the room had a view of Lake Champlain, I was given a somewhat smug answer, "all of our suites have lake view." Imagine my disappointment, albeit there was a view, it was on a window screen. In retrospect, it was a snarky and annoying comment. I will not likely return to Hotel Vermont in the future. My whole reason for booking Hotel Vermont was to see Lake Champlain surrounded by colorful foliage, not a tedious static view as depicted on the windows.

Cons: Housekeeping was spotty: needed to remind the front desk almost daily to have room made up.
5.7 Okay

Cons: My husband was sick after the dinner. I have a bruise on my leg from the bed and the hallway has points on the corners and I have a knot and bruise on my arm. The room we had was so loud. The street noise and room noise. The pullout was hard and not comfortable to sleep on for our son. The bed was hard too.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location. Close to everything in Burlington.
Cons: Restaurant was awful!!!! Service was slow and it took over an hour to get our breakfast.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Pool was better than average.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The view was fantastic!
Cons: It was a little difficult to see well in the bathroom due to the very low lighting. Most women put on makeup with much better lighting. Even with the magnification mirror in place, the low level lighting made it difficult.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location
Cons: Our room was not cleaned;there were dirty towels and used water bottles!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's warm and cozy. Good Location, good attention of the staff,
Cons: To have more time to stay
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice lake views, close to downtown
Cons: Overpriced for what it offers, by a factor of x2 or more
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were absolutely wonderful. We had a terrible experience the evening before, so we switched to the Courtyard. Seeing and listening to what happened, the staff did their best to allow us to take care of our vehicle while we waited for our room, and even accommodated an early check-in because of our needs. Thank you so much! You saved the 4th of July for us!!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious although a bit pricey. I would have appreciated more options e.g. one egg with toast etc. Location is excellent but difficult when you do not come by car. I had to walk up to Downtown Transit Center in the rain carrying my bag. A ride would have been welcome. (I am 78 years old..in generally excellent condition..but the weather was challenging).
Cons: See above. More dining options, better transportation to hotel from transit center.
6.5 Good
Pros: Great location near Church Street and within walking distance of Central Burlington's attractions.
Cons: Very poor welcome and interaction with staff. As a family member of a Marriott employee, I utilized the Explore Rate discount for family members. My initial greeting was a very cold "I can't believe we're offering that rate tonight" followed by what felt like an interrogation about my relationship to the Marriott employee (my mother). A packet of room keys was tossed across the counter my way with no explanation of where the elevators were, how the parking lot worked, etc. Upon asking, I got a repeated "I just can't believe we're offering that rate tonight". Very very poor way to treat the family members of fellow Marriott associate.
7.9 Good
Pros: Restaurant was very good, but also very expensive.
Cons: Room temp was easily controlled, but air was extremely dry - -would have loved to be able to open a window and get some fresh air in. Also wasn't clear from their website that they DID have parking available in adjacent parking garage.

Pros: The staff was really nice and helpful. The breakfast was very good and also had a great assortment of options. The shower was updated with nice tile and was roomy.
Cons: The furniture in the sitting area seemed a bit outdated and not great quality, but it was okay.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Rooms were a little small for my liking.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the front desk were courteous, very helpful - answering all questions. The breakfast included was quite substantial, and it was continually well stocked. It was also nice to have the property offer tea, coffee, and fresh cookies in the evening to all guests. This property also provides an excellent restaurant offering full meals as well as small plates and a well stocked salad bar.
Cons: This property overall was very good- the bed was a little too soft and the room ( one queen bed) was rather small, but the room was very clean.

Overview Reviews
Located in Burlington (South End), Burlington Hostel is within a 10-minute walk of Waterfront Park and Church Street Marketplace. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a 24-hour business center, and a 24-hour front desk.
7.9 Good
Pros: It was an easy booking and registration process. This hostel served our purpose well, which was a place to lay our heads over a busy weekend.
Cons: It was bizarre to me that there were not full walls between each room, which held 8 bunks each. Because the walls did not fully reach the ceiling, the snoring from the other room was quite the disturbance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My first urban hostel stay. Burlington Hostel set the bar very, very high for any other hostels I book! My more-hostel-experienced friends say this is the best they’ve found.
Cons: Speaking as an angry old white man, this is as bad as it got: On a breakfast waffle high, I departed and left my food cache behind, in the fridge. Loved every other thing.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect, quiet street close to water and Church street. Well maintained with a wonderful staff that are friendly and helpful.
Cons: I could hear noises from other rooms due to walls not going all the way to the ceiling, lights on all night, nothing outside rooms to identify which is yours, curtains to room entrance did not close all the way, would have preferred a door to curtains.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff and other travelers where very nice and courteous. There is a great kitchen where you can utilize the fridge and cups etc. There is coffee and waffles in the morning.
Cons: The lights went off in your room at 10pm, then you were unable to see anything. The walls were only partial walls between "rooms" leaving 2.5 feet to the ceiling so you felt like the people in the room next door were right aside of you. The water in the shower took a moment to get warm.
4.5 Okay
Cons: Desk clerk Samuel was aggressive and rude. As well as intimidating and finally verbally abusive. Must remain anonymous due to fear of retaliation.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The dwelling was comfy along with the bed.
Cons: I was not pleased when i planned to cook there i expected a stove as every Hostel i visited was a cooking stove. For many like me expect a stove so one doesn't have to rely on eating at restaurant s
