5.4 Okay
Pros: The only thing is probably location.
Cons: I reserved a room for a double bed but when I got there, they told me the room isn’t available anymore and someone messed up. So they gave me a single bed and lowered the price. Pros: There was nothing to like about this property.

Pros: I was there 21 days and they never cleaned my room. No clean towels or bedding . The staff did not want to talk , explain anything . I will never stay there again .
Cons: the location was the only good thing . The staff was not qualified to work there .they were waiting for the time to finish their shift .
6.3 Good
Cons: The bed is very uncomfortable, the lady at the front desk was very rude.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: It had a bed and a shower. Not clean but surprisingly they had them.
Cons: Rude service people. The room smelled awful. All the cabinets and such were open so that was an indication that the smell had been around for a while. My son almost threw up because of the smell. The bed was gross and if it hadn't been so late, we would of left to go to a better hotel. There was no breakfast due to Corona virus. That's humorous due to the fact their breakfast was prepackaged junk previously. Most hotels give grab bags because of the virus. The price should be much lower for this hotel. Yuck! It used to be a nice hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Manager is kind and always listens and asks questions to make me feel at home.
Cons: So far so good.

Cons: The venting was very noisy with no way to silence, disturbed my sleep at times. Breakfast should be available a bit earlier to better accommodate business travelers.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this property! The staff were very friendly, everything was spotless and our room was perfect. We had our 3 grandchildren with us and the pull out couch (along with the tiny couch attached to it), was great for them. The kitchen was handy, the room layout was nice, the shower was great, and the kids loved the pool! Plenty of towels and great seating all around the pool, too. The breakfast exceeded our expectations- fresh eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, bagels, toast... lots of items to add to your choices (even cheese and salsa for the eggs!). The kids loved all the options. The exercise room was decent sized & they also have washers and dryers available (which would be great if you needed to do some laundry). The hotel is very close to shopping, restaurants, and the highway. We ordered pizza from Renaldi's- it was excellent! We would definitely stay here again.
Cons: An extra blanket & sheets for the tiny couch would have been helpful, but not a huge deal.

Pros: I wasn't really impressed with anything. The price is too high for what you get. The staff was super extra rude. The room was dirty and out dated. I could've gotten a two room suite with a in-room jacuzzi hot tub for 4 nights at the same rate as this hotel.
Cons: Almost everything was bad.
6.0 Good
Pros: I was pleasantly surprised the Hotel did not charge for parking in their Ramp. They also supplied a "pass" ticket to use for any time I needed to leave then return to the ramp. The bed was very comfortable. The Bathroom and facilities were very nice. The Breakfast in their nice restaurant was very good.
Cons: The Hotel and decor was dark, bordering on dreary and depressing, but the weather was a bit gloomy as well. I was disappointed that there was not a pool or jacuzzi. I booked a "Riverview" room for extra $, but when I got to the room...it had a view of a brick wall. Then went back to desk to inquire....they told me it would be $20 more for a room with a Riverview. I hate when that sort of thing happens, especially when it was obvious the hotel was not full.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: This place smelled like garbage
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The restaurant was wonderful. Location was perfect.
Cons: I wasn't able to actually sleep at the hotel. Wall between mine and some late night partiers was thin or non insulated for sound. Was like they were in my room. I could hear and understand multiple conversations. Front desk manager was unsympathetic and straight forward to put blame on me for not calling earlier.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Likes that it was close to excel.
Cons: I paid for a double room and got a king bed. The lady would not change it, not cool when it’s you and your teenage son staying 2 nights. I paid a lot of money and should have got what I booked. My friend who was staying also had a hard time with her room. And she found blood stains on her sheets.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I was there for the state boys hockey tournament so the location was great.
Cons: I paid over $100 for parking which is plenty steep. However, I realize that parking during the state tournament is complicated.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Close to the Xcel Center.
Cons: Paid a little extra for the King Feature room with a river view. I hate to see what the standard room was since this room was barely big enough for the bed and nightstand. Also- the view was of the alley behind the hotel. Not the river.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient Downtown location on Skywalk- close to Xcel Center and great for modern feel. Great food at Citizen Restaurant- and friendly staff. Room had a great view of the Mississippi River.
Cons: No issues.

Pros: nothing
Cons: Worst experience in my life. Room had blood stains on the wall, bed was ready to fall apart, we arrived at 8:00 pm and left before 10:00 pm after 6 policeman were pounding on door beside us. They laughed as we were leaving stating this was a quiet night!
1.0 Poor
Cons: Well I booked. When I got there they was full. Said y'all always still book. It was late, car broke nd had a 4 yr old nd all our stuff out of car to be told "full". Mind you we was dropped off by a cab. So there goes more moneyfor cab elsewhere. Bad

Pros: Historic and fancy
Cons: Wish they had a pool But not sure how had they retrofit one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were only there for one night but they took care of us
Cons: The extra to pay for parking but the fact that we could get to our car or be taken anywhere we wanted to go was amazing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Always nice to stay at the St. Paul Hotel. Breakfast is a high point!
Cons: I had booked a deluxe double and had confirmation in hand. We were given a room with one King - which would have been awkward for my father in law and me. When I spoke with the man at the front desk about this, he said he would not be able to change rooms for us and suggested that I must have called and changed the reservation from doubles to a king. After a second trip to the desk seeking resolution, he admitted that the error was on the hotel's side and he would pass the issue to his manager. Ultimately this was resolved and we were given the correct room, but this is not what I've come to expect from The St. Paul Hotel in nearly two decades of staying with you.
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Thought the fee to park overnight $30 was a bit high for the market (St. Paul) and then not enough staff in AM to get car so we waited about 15 minutes.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly. The rooms were very clean. The food in the bar was amazing!
Cons: The pillows were very thick and hard. It was hard to stay comfortable throughout the night.

Pros: Room was clean and staff was very nice. The room had all the simple things that you would need if you are just planning to sleep at night.
Cons: Our bed didn't have a fitted sheets on it, wrong sized pillow case and pillow kept falling down the cracks of the headboard. Water pressure could be better and there was no hot water in our room but my brother's room next door had good hot water and their water pressure was good.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great.
Cons: If anything. Paying for parking.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was great! It was close to the Excel Energy Center where we were attending a MN Wild Game and there were tons of food + drink options nearby!
Cons: The paint on the walls of our hotel room bathroom were peeling and the property felt like it had been cosmetically updated to cover how old it really is. When we were finally able to use the hot tub (the first night it was full of kids until almost 10pm) it was luke warm. The breakfast was pretty mediocre, but it was included in the cost of the room so it didn't bother us too much - we went out in St. Paul for brunch instead. If you are booking, I would ask to get a room on the Capital side - we were on the highway side and it was pretty loud all night (which didn't bother us, but could if you are a light sleeper)
